저압 및 중압 자외선 조사에 의해 불활성화된 Pseudomonas aeruginosa의 광회복능 조사 (Investigation of Potential Photoreactivation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa after LP or MP UV Irradiation)

  • Recently, there is growing interest in ultraviolet (UV) irradiation as a disinfection technic in drinking water production due to its effectiveness to inactivate microorganisms such as Crytosporidium parvum without forming disinfection byproducts. However, UV disinfection is known for its drawback such as photoreactivation. Despite many works concerning the photoreactivation, most of works were focused on indicator or non pathogenic microorganisms. The objective of this study is to examine the photoreactivation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa which is an opportunistic pathogen as UV radiation by LP and MP UV lamp was applied. The result showed that P. aeruginosa had high photo repair efficiency regardless of the type of UV irradiation. Both of the effective log repair values of LP and MP UV irradiation were found approximately 2.6 log. In addition, photo repaired P. aeruginosa was not significantly different in forming biofilm in comparison with non treated P. aeruginosa.

Life-cycle-cost optimization for the wind load design of tall buildings equipped with TMDs

  • The paper presents a Life-Cycle Cost-based optimization framework for wind-excited tall buildings equipped with Tuned Mass Dampers (TMDs). The objective is to minimize the Life-Cycle Cost that comprises initial costs of the structure, the control system and costs related to repair, maintenance and downtime over the building's lifetime. The integrated optimization of structural sections and mass ratio of the TMDs is carried out, leading to a set of Pareto optimal solutions. The main advantage of the proposed methodology is that, differently from the traditional optimal design approach, it allows to perform the unified design of both the structure and the control system in a Life Cycle Cost Analysis framework. The procedure quantifies wind-induced losses, related to structural and nonstructural damage, considering the stochastic nature of the loads (wind velocity and direction), the specificity of the structural modeling (e.g., non-shear-type vibration modes and torsional effects) and the presence of the TMDs. Both serviceability and ultimate limit states related to the structure and the TMDs' damage are adopted for the computation of repair costs. The application to a case study tall building allows to demonstrate the efficiency of the procedure for the integrated design of the structure and the control system.

  • In domestic, various repair materials and method systems to keep up with these reinforced concrete deteriorated due to salt damage, carbonation. chemical decay et. being developed and applied. However, present polymer cement mortar applied to section restoration system cause the problem of long-term working and economica] efficiency. because that is divided into two process of liquid corrosion prevention agent and polymer cement mortar. In this background, accelerated test with due regard to $3\%$ NaCl soaking and autoclave cure was performed to confirm steel bar corrosion prevention properties of polymer cement mortar mixed with corrosion prevention agent of powdered type. In conclusion. we confirmed application possibility and excellency of steel bar corrosion prevention properties of polymer cement mortar mixed with corrosion prevention agent of powdered type comparing general polymer cement mortar applied to section restoration system of present study.

한국형 틸팅열차의 신뢰성기반 유지보수 체계 구축에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Construction of Reliability Centered Maintenance System for Korean Tilting Train)

  • 본 논문에서는 한국형 틸팅열차의 유지보수 활동을 위해 신뢰성기반유지보수체계를 제안하였다. 열차시스템을 3단계의 교체 부품 단위로 분류하고, 각 단위에 대해 기능블록도를 작성한 후 고장모드 영향 분석을 실시하였다. 각 단위의 심각도를 결정한 후 유지보수 정책을 제안하였으며, 틸팅열차를 위한 유지보수 기준을 정하고, 실제 사례를 제시하였다. 제안된 신뢰성기반유지보수체계는 기존 유지보수 체계와도 호환성을 갖고 있으며, 안전성 향상과 유지보수 활동 효율화에 기여할 수 있다.In this paper, a reliability centered maintenance (RCM) system is proposed to perform maintenance action for Korean Tilting Train. The train system was divided into line replaceable units up to three steps. Functional block diagrams were drawn and failure mode effect analysis for the units was carried out. The criticality of each unit was determined and a maintenance policy was proposed. Maintenance and repair criteria for the tilting train were determined and an example was presented. The proposed RCM system is compatible with the previous maintenance system and contributes to improvement of safety and efficiency of maintenance action.

부산항 재개발 대상지의 개발우선순위 평가 및 개발방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on Evaluation of Development Priority Order & Scheme for Redevelopment Target Area in Pusan Port)

  • Korea has designated 28 trade ports and 22 coastal ports under the Ports Act. If fishery ports and small inlets are counted, the number amounts to hundreds of ports. However, untimely and inefficient maintenance and repair works face Korean ports with functional loss, decreasing efficiency, and even catastrophe. Thus, further examinations on the maintenance or redevelopment of forts in Korea are urgent. Since the Korean War and the higher economic growth period in the 1970s, Busan Port has developed in a variety of ways, according to the necessity of social conditions at any given time, without any development Philosophy or systematic long-term master plan. As a result, ports and coastal industrial facilities have rushed to gather around the present North Busan Port, which has taken on mixed functions between ports and cities, adversely affecting several of their interactions. To resolve these circumstances, several redevelopment schemes were suggested for centering the old zone in the Busan Port interim. However, comprehensive evaluation and redevelopment schemes combining functions of both ports and cities, and effectively utilizing coastal zones have never been presented. In this respect, this study sets the priority order of the extracted unit project. This study analyzes the existing functions and facilities of Busan Port, extracting facility zones through redevelopment which is certain to fail or to decrease in efficiency. furthermore, this study presents status and development directions of specified redevelopment unit projects of higher priority order, and pursues the integrated plan of efficiency for Busan Port.

  • The 3-phase induction is used for the MCP(main coolant pump) and the pure water is used for lubrication of bearing because of the difficulty of repair. Therefore the type of motor is the canned-motor that is welded by sealed can to prevent the stator and rotor from the lubricating water. A lot of Eddy currents are produced in the can because of the conductivity of material. And these eddy currents in the can are the most important cause that decrease the efficiency of induction motor. Therefore we have to find the method to decrease these eddy currents in the can for the improvement of efficiency of motor. In this paper, we proposed the method of design and analysis of canned-motor using equivalent circuit with consideration of can loss for the improvement of efficiency of motor.

소득수준과 주택특성에 따른 난방에너지 소비의 역진적 인과구조 (The Regressive Causal Structure of Heating Energy Consumption Affected by Household Income and Housing Characteristics)

  • Paying an attention to the issue of energy poverty of low-income households and ensuing regressivity of energy consumption, this study empirically analyzes the effects of both household and housing characteristics on heating energy consumption in an integrated way and identifies their causal structure based on the 2016 Korea Housing Survey data provided by the Korean government. Multiple regression analysis shows that household income and deteriorated level of housing, such as age and degree of cracks have positive effects and floor area of housing has a negative effect on the heating energy consumption per unit area of housing (HECPUH). Path analyses further reveal that the direct effect of household income on HECPUH is offset by the indirect effects that are mediated by deteriorated level and floor area of housing, making the total effect statistically insignificant. As a result, there is no significant difference in HECPUH across all income strata, implying that low-income (high-income) households pay more (less) heating costs relative to their income level, since they reside in the houses with relatively low (high) energy efficiency. To deal with this regressive causal structure of energy consumption, a policy option is recommended to improve energy efficiency of low-income housing through the government assistance in its maintenance and repair.

  • Ni-base superalloys are used extensively in industry, both in aeroengines and land based turbines. About 60% by weight of most modern gas turbine engine structural components are made of Ni-base superalloys. To satisfy practical demands, the efficiency of gas turbine engines has been steadily and systematically increased by design modifications to handle higher turbine inlet or firing temperatures. However, the increase in operating temperatures has lead to a decrease in the life of components and increase in costs of replacement. Moreover, around 80% of the large frame size industrial/utility gas turbines operating in the world today were installed in the mid-sixties to early seventies and are now 25 to 30 years old. Consequently, there are greater opportunities now to repair and refurbish the older models. Basically, there are two major factors influencing the weldability of the cast alloys: strain-age cracking and liquation cracking. Susceptibility to strain-age cracking is due to the total Ti plus AI content of the alloy; Liquation cracking is due either to the presence of low melting constituents or constitutional liquation of constituents. Though Rene 41 superalloy has 4.5wt.% total Ti and Al content and falls just below the safe limit proposed by Prager et al., controlled grain size and special heat treatments are needed to obtain crack-free welds. Varying heat treatments and filler materials were used in a laboratory study, then the actual welding of service parts was carried out to verity the possibility of crack-tree weld of components fabricated from Rene 41 superalloy. The microstructural observations indicated that there were two kinds of carbides in the FCC matrix. MC carbides were located along the grain boundaries, while M$_{23}$C$_{6}$ carbide was located both inter and intra granularly. Two kinds of filler materials, Rene 41 and Hastelloy X were used to gas tungsten arc weld a patch into the sheet metal, along with varying pre-weld heat treatments. The microstructure, hardness and tensile tests were determined. The service distressed parts were categorized into three classes: with large cracks, with medium cracks and with small or no visible cracks. No significant difference in microstructure among the specimens was observed. Specimens were cut from the corner and the straight edge of the patch repair, away from the corner. The only cracks present were found to be associated with inadequate surface preparation to remove oxidation. Guidelines for oxide removal and the welding procedures developed in the research enabled crack-free welds to be produced.d.

백열 전구의 LED 조명 교체에 대한 타당성 분석 - 공공기관을 중심으로 - (Feasibility Analysis on Replacing LED Lighting with Incandescent Bulbs in Public Institution)

  • LED 조명이 기존 조명 대비 80% 이상의 에너지 절감 효과 및 환경 친화적 특성 등 다양한 장점을 가지고 있으면서도, 높은 가격으로 인해 시장이 제대로 형성되지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 논문은 공공부문의 기존 백열 전구를 LED 조명으로의 교체로 인한 에너지 절감 및 유지 보수 측면에서의 효율성을 분석하기 위해 LED 조명에 대한 경제성 평가를 통해 보급 확대에 대한 타당성을 논하였다. 분석대상은 에너지관리공단에서 시행한 "퇴출관리시스템"을 바탕으로 지식경제부에서 발표한 '백열 전구 현황 및 퇴출실적'을 이용하였다. 공공기관의 백열 전구의 LED 조명 교체에 대한 타당성 분석을 위해서 교체 비용, 연간 절전량 및 전기요금 절감액, 유지보수 비용, $CO_2$ 저감량, 탄소배출권 판매수익을 고려하였다. 경제성 분석 결과, 기존의 백열 전구를 LED 조명으로 교체 시 할인율이 3.26%일 때, 8,648.4백만원으로 NPV가 '양(+)'의 값을 가지는 것으로 분석되어 수익성이 있는 것으로 나타났다.

고효율 LED를 이용한 유도등의 원격제어에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Remote Control for Exit Sign Using High Efficiency LED)

  • 유도등은 일정한 조도를 가지고 상용전원에 의하여 항상 점등되어 있어야 함으로 전력소비 및 광원 교체등 경제적 손실과 관리상의 문제가 있게 된다. 본 논문은 이제까지 광원으로 사용하고 있던 형광등이나 백열전구 대신에 소비전력이 적은 고효율 발광다이오드를 사용하여 전력소비의 절감과, 점검시의 문제점을 개선하기 위해 원격제어가 가능한 새로운 유도등회로를 제안하고 실험한 것이다. 그 결과 원격제어 스위치에 의한 유도등 점검을 제어각의 범위에서 쉽게 제어할 수 있었으며 반응시간은 600〔$\mu$s〕로 매우 빠르게 동작하였다. 또한 출력 상승시간(Rise time)과 하강고시간(Fall time)은 최대 200〔ns〕로 예민하게 반응하였다. 광원으로 고효율 발광다이오드를 사용함으로 광원을 교체해야 하는등의 문제를 제거하였으며 전력소비를 감소시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.
