  • This paper illustrates a comparative analysis on the economic efficiency of remodeling method that is one of major factors in totting more desirable standards and proposes to utilize LCC calculation techniques in generating a required budget for more effective quantity-based analysis that is both objective and effect. Rather than comparing only the initial lost of two different methods, it seems through to compare their entire life cycle cost that includes any repair and reconstruction/ remodeling expenses, thus generate overall quantitative analysis in objective perspective

  • Railroads made many contribution to modernization being developed so quickly as public transportation, but after middle of 20 century, its qualities are getting low because of focusing on the investment and development of cars and airplanes. Its role which is getting the excellent merits on the mass transportation, rapid transit. safety, state period, energy efficiency, and prevention of environmental pollution has been reconsidered. Element of horizontal alignment In an existing railroad line is needed as basic materials, when it will be improved or moved. If its design drawing was lost or damaged, it is impossible to recover. It is riot easy to repair for it as disasters. We must understand an existing railroad line to bring a function included a basic geography situation. In this studies we acquire, analyze. and handle the digital picture of railroads and then reappear shape of three dimension. But also we want to contribute to establish the facilities information choosing materials of existing railroad line in outputting the alignment element by reverse.

  • The pressure to develop new agricultural technologies will be roughly proportional to the rate of depletion of natural resources employed in agriculture. Of these resources, land, water and gentic resources are critical. The development of agriculture is associated with a scientific and technological establishment, of remarkable capability ; responding rapidly to many problems encountered by the agricultural production. These advantages are also coupled with constraints. Agricultural systems are concerned with the efficient conversion of resources into products that are wanted by the producer or someone else who is prepared to pay for them. They are based on biological processes, but they are operated by the people for a multiplicity of purposes. Study of agricultural systems is aimed at helping in the operation of systems, their repair or their improvement. The future concerns of agriculture will center on (1) increasing and safeguarding the supplies of productive inputs to agriculture, (2) improving the efficiency with which these inputs are used in food production, (3) developing new sources of basic food materials, and (4) coping with the external costs that tend to appear in intensive, mechanized agriculture.

  • The strengthening of concrete structures in situ with externally bonded fiber sheets is increasingly being used for repair and rehabilitation of existing structures. Because fiber sheets is attractive for this application due to its good tensile strength, resistance to corrosion, and low weight. But, debonding failure may occur at the beam ends that fiber sheet bonded to the soffit of a beam. The method which can prevent debonding failure is suggested and proved its efficiency by using CPS experimental test. And this paper summarized the results of experimental studies concerning the end-anchorage system. Results show that the suggested method is faithful in strengthening with CFS.

  • The issue with the drainpipe now a day is that they are laid underground. Causing us to perform additional work to repair, such as digging up the ground and peeling off the insulator that surrounds the pipe. And such series works are difficult that concession appears from government and municipal office. However, if we can save time and money. Performance of piping robot that we are studied in existing session through fixing unit and improvement of cutting bit shorten and wished to heighten work efficiency. And we are trying to develop a unit that can cut up the projecting parts which connects with the interior part of the drainpipes.

  • The purpose of this study is to present basic data in order to improve the efficiency and the objectivity of diagnosing educational structures built with the reinforced concrete. For achieving the purpose, this paper, firstly, researches damage aspects of 22 public educational of facilities in Seoul, and summarizes the results of that research. Through the analysis and the evaluation of damage aspects, this paper shows the conclusions as follows; (1) Main damage to reduce structural capacities of building is the differential settlement. (2) Though the steel corrosion is occurred by several factors, the main cause is the faulty construction. (3) To prevent the damage development, a proper repair strategy is very important.

  • Based on moments inequalities new testing procedures are derived for testing exponentiality against new renewal better than used (NRBU) and renewal new better than used (RNBU). These classes play an important role in formulating repair or replacement policies. The asymptotic Pitman efficiency of (NRBU) and (RNBU) testes are studied. Selected critical values are tabulated for sample sizes n=5(1) 50. The power estimates for some commonly used life distributions in reliability are also calculated. Some set of real data is used as an example to elucidate the use of the proposed test statistic for practical reliability analysis. The problem in case of right-censored data is also handled.

  • If we build new building after demolition of commercial building that is located in the downtown, it will be caused a social and environmental problem as wasting of resources and generating of waste. In this study, I investigated about remodel ins, this conclusion is given below. 1. Reconstruction cost is 2.1 times, and construction period is 1.4 times as much remodeling. So remodeling has an advantage. 2. For repairing and reinforcing timeworn building, we reinforced it as using carbon fiber sheet (girder, slab) and injecting method steel plate bonding Also, we tried to maintain efficiency of new building as using epoxy to protect concrete crack. 3. In the side of waste products and cost, remodeling has much more advantage than reconstruct. But demolition used construction period much. Because it had to be reused as repairing and reinforcing. And there was no difference between remodeling cost and reconstruct cost. If we develop research with enterprise.university.laboratory to exploit material and equipment and to train specialized engineer who will has a capacity to know construct repair and reinforce, it can be attribute to prevail remodeling in new construct market.

  • In this study, the validity study has been carried out to apply the combustion burner in an electric arc furnace. The validity of applying the combustion burner has been studied in the aspect of the operation through the calculation of heat balance. The average decrease rate of power on time is 11.2%. When the maintainability is compared to the door lance manipulator type, the multi-functional combustion burner is simple to replace and repair. The location of burner can be adopted according to the drawings which are recommended in this study. As a result, the validity of applying the combustion burner to improve an efficiency of electric arc furnace has been confirmed.
