  • The satellite communication has been widely applied in the various fields included the remote monitoring and control system through the technical progress.   • In this paper, a communication method is proposed for the development of a main engine remote control system. The main engine control system compriese three subsystems such as RCS (Remote Control System) BCS (Bridge Control System) and SS (Safety System), Thus it is required to exchange data each other among these subsystems. The communication method has simplified hardware through the minimization of communication components where the interrupt method are employed for receiving and the polling method for transmitting. We discuss a methodology of using a ring buffer for data storage physically which has two buffers virtually for the effective use of memory. This communication method presents a good performance in the system which has rather small numbers of communication data.

  • We describe a research about remote control of mobile robot based on voice command in this paper. Through real-time remote control and wireless network capabilities of an unmanned remote-control experiments and Home Security / exercise with an unmanned robot, remote control and voice recognition and voice transmission are possible to transmit on a PC using a microphone to control a robot to pinpoint of the source. Speech recognition can be controlled robot by using a remote control. In this research, speech recognition speed and direction of self-driving robot were controlled by a wireless remote control in order to verify the performance of mobile robot with two drives.

전력선통신을 이용한 원격 게임제어 시스템의 구성 (The Construction of a Remote Game Control System By the Power Line Communication)

  • 본 논문에서는 전력선 제어 통신 (PLC) 방법을 사용하여 원격지에서 조이스틱으로 게임을 제어하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 시스템의 구성은 원격지의 조이스틱과 컴퓨터 접속부 사이를 일반 가정용 전원 선로로 연결하고, 2400 bps 전송속도의 폴링 제어 기법을 사용하여 조이스틱의 명령을 읽어들이고, 음향 정보를 수신측 PLC 장치에 출력하였다. 게임 제어는 조이스틱의 좌, 우, 상, 하의 방향에 따라 비행기 캐릭터가 움직이고, 총알 발사 명령에 의해 총알을 발사하는 게임을 만들어 실행하였다. 이외에도, 16가지의 조이스틱 게임 조작 명령의 입력이 가능하며, 16가지의 출력 상태가 가능하였다. 게임 조작에 필요한 정보 전달은 약 100 msec 통신 지연에서도 문제가 없음을 확인하였다.

  • The technology convergence of television, communication, and computing devices enables the rich social and entertaining experience through Smart TV in personal living space. The powerful smart TV computing platform allows to provide various user interaction interfaces like IR remote control, web based control, body gesture based control, etc. The presently used smart TV interaction user control methods are not efficient and user-friendly to access different type of media content and services and strongly required advanced way to control and access to the smart TV with easy user interface. This paper propose the optical wireless communication (OWC) based remote controller design for Smart TV using smart device Flashlights. In this approach, the user smart device act as a remote controller with touch based interactive smart device application and transfer the user control interface data to smart TV trough Flashlight using visible light communication method. The smart TV built-in camera follows the optical camera communication (OCC) principle to decode data and control smart TV user access functions according. This proposed method is not harmful as radio frequency (RF) radiation does it on human health and very simple to use as well user does need to any gesture moves to control the smart TV.

  • This paper presents the remote measurement of the ECU signals adopted with KWP 2000 protocol using the wireless communication technique of bluetooth. The bluetooth technology will be the most promising network paradigm which can open the new area in the information technology. Especially, bluetooth module is able to link all the electrical products and personal computers to cellular phone or PDA. This research has a try to design a wireless measurement model of ECU signal based on the car telemery system using bluetooth device. In order to measure the ECU signals, we designed the interface circuits which is able to communicate between the ECU system and the terminal circuits according to the ISO, SAE regulation of communication protocol standard. A microprocessor S3c341 OX is used for the system control and communication of ECU signals. The embedded system software is programmed to measure the ECU signals using the ARM compiler and ANCI C based on Micro/OS-II kernel to communicate between two bluetooth modules using bluetooth stack. The remote measurement of ECU signals using the bluetooth was designed and implemented to evaluate the performance of wireless network to the transmit measurement data. The possibility for the remote measurement of the self diagnosis signals of ECU adopted with KWP2000 protocol verified through the developed systems and algorithms in embedded system.

  • In this paper, we present a remote control strategy for vehicles moving in an intelligent Vehicle Highway System(IVHS). We study a method for optimal off-line scheduling of a limited communication channel that is used for lead vehicle control in a platoon. The deviated distance from the desired trajectory is used for defining a cost functional that measures the performance of the system with communication constraints in relation to the desired system without communication constraints. The optimal communication sequence is obtained by simulations.

  • 최근 사물인터넷의 성장으로 안드로이드가 탑재된 임베디드 디바이스가 증가함에 따라, 다수의 디바이스들이 서로 연결되고 협력하여 동작할 수 있는 환경에 대한 필요성이 증대되고 있다. 이러한 환경에서는 네트워크를 통하여 다른 디바이스에 대한 정보를 얻거나, 원격 제어를 위해 다른 디바이스 내 정의된 프로시저를 호출할 수 있는 기능 등이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 플랫폼에서 구동되는 디바이스들이 원격으로 다른 디바이스 내 프로시저를 호출하는 방법인 Remote Binder를 제안한다. Remote Binder에서는 기존의 안드로이드 플랫폼에서 디바이스 내 바인더 노드를 참조하여 서비스 호출하는 개념을 활용하여 다른 디바이스 내의 바인더 노드를 참조하여 해당 디바이스의 서비스를 호출한다.

  • Indoor construction site such as building demolition sites, tunnel, vinyl house, and cattle shed are subject to various risk factors such as falling stones, soot and bad odors. However, most of the mini excavators have no cabin that can protect the driver from such risk factors. Therefore, researches on remote control technology of construction equipment are actively conducted as a method for protecting the driver from the risk factors occurring in the working environment. For effective remote control, it is necessary to be able to control the travelling and work using a portable small transmitter. However, due to the limitation of the size of the transmitter, complex operation control is required to control two or more actuators with a single joystick. Also, it is essential to check how remote control characteristics change in various environments such as distance, signal strength, obstacle. Therefore, in this study, an algorithm that can control two actuators simultaneously with a single joystick signal was developed, and a communication method suitable for indoor and outdoor mini construction equipment by analyzing experimentally how the remote control characteristics vary according to various work environments and telecommunication methods proposed.

사물인터넷을 활용한 지능형원격제어시스템 구현 (Implementation of Intelligent Remote Control System based on Internet of Things)

  • 원격제어서버와 작동기가 무선네트워크를 통해 연결되어 동작하는 원격제어시스템은 그 편의성이 큰 만큼 잠재된 위험성도 크다. 신뢰할 수 없는 무선 채널로 인해 제어명령이 유실될 수 있기 때문이다. 지능형원격제어시스템은 작동기에 제어명령을 유추할 수 있는 기능을 추가하여 제어명령을 수신하지 못하는 경우에도 동작하도록 해주는 시스템이다. 본 논문에서는 지능형원격제어시스템 테스트베드를 구현하여 원격제어시스템에서 발생할 수 있는 문제 상황들을 실험을 통해 확인하고 지능형원격제어시스템이 문제를 해결하는 것을 검증하였다. 지능형원격제어시스템은 일반적인 원격제어시스템이 높은 통신오버헤드를 감수해야 달성할 수 있는 성능을 더 적은 통신오버헤드만으로도 달성할 수 있음을 확인하였다.
