  • Plasma spray has attracted attention as an effective method for obtaining protective coatings. In this paper, the physical, mechanical and thermal properties of coatings are reviewed. The microstructural features of the coatings are described. The relationship between the properties of coatings and their microstructure is also discussed. Plasma sprayed coatings are used to reduce wear and improve thermal protection on a large number of components in various industries. In some cases, the conditions of application are very aggressive and therefore the resulting maintenance costs are expensive. Improved coating materials and appropriate properties of coatings are the most promising ways to solve these problems[1,2]. The optimum coating properties depend on the microstructure of coatings[1-5]. In this paper, some ceramic coatings frequently used in industries were reported. The physical, mechanical and thermal properties of ceramic coatings are reviewed. The microstructure features of coatings are addressed. The relationship between the microstructure of coatings and their properties are discussed.

  • Although many papers have been published for the mechanical properties of nonwoven fabrics, there is no report on the relationship of tensile and puncture properties. For the further applications of lightweight nonwoven products like protective clothing materials, thorough understanding of the relationship should be preceded when they are subjective to puncture farce. • The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship among subjective textures, sensibilities and objective handle of knit fabrics and to provide useful information in planning and designing knit fabrics. We made 20 plain knit fabrics, as specimens, with a combination of 5 kinds of wool/rayon fiber contents and 4 kinds of stitch loop length. For the subjective evaluation, we used 29 questions of subjective textures and sensibilities and employed statistical analysis tools such as factor, Pearson's correlation analysis. An objective handle was measured by Kawabata evaluation system and HV and THV was calculated by KN-402-KT and KN-301-winter. The analysis of a Pearson's correlation with objective properties and handles and structural properties of knit fabrics demonstrated a highly linear relationship. Especially, wool/rayon contents and WT of tensile properties and loop stitch length and G of shear properties showed a correlation coefficient over 0.9. But a relationship of objective properties and subjective textures and sensibilities was non-linear and a linear multi-regression analysis showed that a objective handle had a lower prediction power in the area of subjective textures and sensibilities.

  • This study examines the effect of the structural properties of F/W wool knit fabrics for woman's knitwear on the perceptions of textures and sensible images of consumers and present basic data for textile designing by analyzing the relationship among the structural properties, mechanical properties, objective hand measurements and preferences. A total of 12 kinds of knit fabrics were prepared and investigated in terms of the differences in the subjective, mechanical properties and objective hand measurements according to the structural properties of knit fabrics. The data were analyzed by t-test. The subjective hand attributes of wool knits through factor analysis are categorized into 6 factors. In particular, the 'active/comfort' factor is a meaningful result that reflects the unique characteristics of knit fabrics compared to woven fabrics. Mechanical properties and objective hand measurements have a greater effect on textures than on sensible images; in addition, the structural properties, 'gauge' was the most important factor to influence the subjective evaluation.

  • This study is about division and right multiplication in matrices. The discussion of the properties of multiplication and division is examined. Some results between multiplication based on the row-column relationship and division based on the same relationship are discussed. The commonalities of these results between the processes are emphasized. Examples of unrealized properties are given. The algebraic properties of the newly defined right product and division are clarified in matrices. The properties of the known multiplication operation and new situations between right multiplication and division are investigated. Some results are declared between the transpositions of matrices and the obtained rules of operations. New results are discussed belong the equations ${\underleftarrow{XA}}=B$ and ${\underleftarrow{AX}}=B$. New ideas are proposed for solving these equations. The contribution The contribution is explained the equation $AB={\underleftarrow{BA}}$ to division operation. Many new properties, lemmas and theorems are presented on this subject.

  • The purposes of this study were to investigate relationship marketing in fashion retail setting through literatures and were to set up a relationship marketing model which is suitable for fashion stores. In order to achieve the purposes of this study, concepts and properties of relationship marketing were studied through the previous studies. Relationship marketing research tendency in retail setting was examined and relationship marketing strategies of fashion stores were examined. As a results, relationship marketing process model for fashion stores was developed. The variables influenced on long-term relationship intention of fashion consumers may be relationship benefits, satisfaction, trust, and commitment. Relationship benefits might have an influence on satisfaction, trust, and commitment. Finally commitment might have an influence on long-term relationship intention. Also, Consumer buying characteristics and consumer relationship disposition might have an influence on relationship marketing process model for fashion stores.

  • In this paper, the relationship between the material removal rate and the interfacial mechanical properties at particle-surface contact situation, which can be seen in an abrasive machining process using micro/nano-sized particles, was discussed. Friction and stiffnesses were measured experimentally on an atomic force microscope (AFM) by using colloidal probes which have a silica colloid particle in place of tip to simulate a particle-flat surface contact in an abrasive machining process. From the experimental investigation and theoretical contact analysis, the interfacial contact properties such as lateral stiffness of contact, friction, the material removal rate were presented with respect to some of material surfaces and the relationship between the properties as well.

  • The addition and subtraction relationship and the multiplication and division relationship are explicitly dealt with in second and third grade mathematics textbooks. However, these relationships are not discussed anymore in the problem situations and activities in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade mathematics textbooks. In this study, we investigate the calculation principles of subtraction and division in the elementary school mathematics textbooks. Based on our investigation, we justify the addition and subtraction relationship and the multiplication and division relationship at the level of children's understanding so that we discuss some problem situations and activities where the relationships can be applied to subtraction and division. In addition, we suggest educational implications that can be obtained from children's applying the relationships and the properties of equations to subtraction and division.

  • AIn this paper we introduce and study a multivariate notions of mean inactivity time (MIT) functions. Basic properties of these functions are derived and their relationship to the multivariate conditional reversed hazard rate functions is studied. A partial ordering, called MIT ordering, of non-negative random vectors is introduced and its basic properties are presented. Its relationship to reversed hazard rate ordering is pointed out. Finally, using the MIT ordering, a bivariate and multivariate notions of IMIT (increasing mean inactivity time) class is introduced and studied.
