XML is standard of web document, and is used in language for document data exchange. XML document is used as example that change existing document to XML or makes new document by XML increases and XML search system to search XML document efficiently accordingly is requiring. This paper describes design and implementation of query processing system for translating XML elements and data between XML documents and relational database and consist of XML to DB processor, DB to XML processor and XML document management processor. Through this, described for design and embodiment of efficient XML document search system of JAVA base using XQL that is proposed in language of quality of XML document.

This paper presents a research on the development of a system which manages be tool data for the factory using NC machines. The tool information concerning each production stages of the industry is studied in the CIM(Computer Integrated Manufacturing) view point. The system gives the characteristics of the easy and reliable processing of the tool data by the help of menu and graphic functions. The DBMS(Data Base Management System) having relational model is used for the system build-up and is interfaced with CAD system for display of the tool geometry.

The Data quality management system(DQMS) organizes and helps manage and process time sequence data usually collected in monitoring networks and programs. DQMS places particular emphasis on data qualify while maintaining a highly organized and convenient structure for data. It operates with in a flexible and powerful commercial relational data base environment which can readily link to other software platforms from local spreadsheets to network server. The Korea Institute of Energy Research(KIER) has been solar radiation data since May, 1991 for 16 different locations. KIER's new data is expected to be extensively used by designer and researchers of solar systems in lieu of unreliable old ones. Unfortunately, the quality of the data has not always been properly mentioned. The purpose of this study is to systematically identify errors in such data set using DQMS in an effort to rehabilitate error-ridden old data. DET successfully uncovered solar radiation data that had questionable quality.

현재 생물학 연구실에서 시퀀싱 실험을 통해 생성되거나 또는 공개용 생물 데이터베이스로부터 획득된 유전체 및 단백질 정보는 각각 이질적인 데이터형식을 사용하고 있다. 이 때문에, 생물정보를 분석하여 상호간의 정보를 효율적으로 사용하기 위해서는 공통된 형식의 데이터 표준화작업이 필수적이다. 그리고 이러한 이질적 데이터 형식에 대한 표준화 연구의 미비로 인하여 플랫 파일간의 정보공유에 어려움을 겪고 있다. 따라서, 이 논문에서는 다양한 유전체 및 단백질 정보를 관리.공유하기 위해 이질적인 포맷간의 맵핑 과정을 통하여 BSML(Bioinformatic Sequence Markup Language) 형태로 변환하고, 이를 객체관계형 데이터베이스(Object Relational DataBase)에 저장하는 시스템을 개발하였다. 그리고, 개발된 시스템은 생물정보 데이터의 표준화를 위해 개발된 XML(Extend Markup Language) 기반의 BSML을 이용함으로써 효율적으로 생물학 데이터들 간의 정보를 공유할 수 있으며, 개인 생물학 데이터베이스 구축이나 다양한 생물학적 데이터를 통합 관리하는 시스템에서 유용하게 쓰일 수 있다.

For the electric power system operation, the information to monitor the operation status of power plants and transmission lines is very important factor in the view point of system security and economic operation. This paper presents the logical and physical structures of database used by KEPCO's EMS. The adopted DataBase Management System (DBMS) of a relational model type offers many advantages such as easy maintenance of database. In addition, this paper briefly introduces the data exchange system between application programs and database.

This paper presents a database approach to integrating the structural analysis and design processes for a typical shear wall apartment building design. Our initial efforts have focused on extracting various graphic information from CAD(AutoCAD™) systems. But now, we concentrate our research efforts on organizing specific information generated during the structural analysis and design processes. The proposed overall system consists of a conventional structural analysis package, a conventional CAD system, and different application interface programs. This system is based on an engineering database which is developed by using an object-oriented data modelling approach. The system is actually implemented on an ORACLE™-based relational database management system.

A multiprocessor microprocessor named SMPC(scaleable multiprocessor chip) that contains tow IU (integer unit) is presented in this paper. It can execute multiple instructions from several tasks exploiting task-level parallelism that is free from instruction dependencies, and provide high performance and throughput on both single program and multiprogramming environments. the IU is a 32-bit scalar processor expecially designed to boost up the performance of string manipulations which are frequently used in RDBMS(relational data base management system) applications. A memory management unit and a data cache shared by two IUs improve the performance and reduce the chip area required. ETH SMPC is implemented in VLSI circuit by custom design and automated design tools.

There have been several research efforts to support interoperability among multiple databases. In integrating multiple databases, we must resolve schema conflicts due to the heterogeneity in databases. To resolve these conflicts, not only meta-data for database schemas but also general knowledge expressing the real world meanings associated with the database schemas are required. This paper presents a uniform representation method for relational schema and general knowledge base that is composed, among other things, of concept hierarchy and thematic roles in relationship, using the knowledge representation language Lk. This representation method has a flexible descriptive power which facilitates concepts to be expressed at different levels of granularity and can describe knowledge expressed in Lk are used for input of the next step, such as conflict resolution and query processing of multiple database.

A concept of fuzzy wavelets is proposed by a fuzzification of morphological wavelets. In the proposed fuzzy wavelets, analysis and synthesis schemes can be formulated as the operations of fuzzy relational calculus. In order to perform an efficient compression and reconstruction, an alphaband is also proposed as a soft thresholding of the wavelets. In the image compression/reconstruction experiment using test images extracted Standard Image DataBAse (SIDBA), it is confirmed that the root mean square error (RMSE) of the proposed soft thresholding is decreased to 87.3％ of the conventional hard thresholding.

When machining of a free-form surface with a ball endmill it is very important to select proper cutting conditions considering the geometrical shape of a workpiece to make the production more effective and reduce the machining time. Even though the same cutting conditions and materials are used, the cutting system of different geometry part machining shows the different static/dynamic characteristics. In this study, through various cutting experiments, we can construct the data base of stable cutting conditions for the machining of a Zine Alloy. We can get some relational plots between the optimal feedrates and classified shape features and parameters. On the basis of these results, we can develop the feedrate optimization program OptiCode. The developed program make it possible to reduce the cutting time and increase the machining accuracies.
