내부충전 콘크리트와 횡보강 및 축방향 철근으로 보강된 PHC 말뚝의 휨강도 (Flexural Strength of PHC Pile Reinforced with Infilled Concrete, Transverse and Longitudinal Reinforcements)

  • PHC 말뚝은 우수한 축하중 저항 능력에 비해 상대적으로 전단 및 휨 저항 성능이 낮은 단점을 가지고 있다. 이 연구의 목적은 기존 PHC 말뚝의 단점을 개선할 목적으로 개발된 중공부에 내부충전 콘크리트, 축방향 철근과 전단 철근으로 보강한 합성 PHC 말뚝(ICP 말뚝)의 휨성능을 평가하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 기존의 교대 설계사례로 부터 말뚝에 발생하는 축력과 휨모멘트를 조사한 후, ICP 말뚝 계산을 위하여 개발한 축력-휨모멘트 상관관계 프로그램을 이용하여 허용 축력과 휨모멘트가 발생하는 부재력을 만족하도록 ICP 말뚝을 설계하였다. 설계에 따라 ICP 말뚝을 제작하였으며, 휨실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과 ICP 말뚝은 PHC 말뚝에 비하여 약 45% 큰 휨내력을 나타내었다. 또한 계산에 의해 예측한 ICP 말뚝 휨강도의 25%를 허용 휨모멘트로 취할 경우, 약 4.5의 안전율을 갖는 것으로 평가되었다.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate bending performance of concrete filled soldier pile for temporary retaining wall. Structural performance tests were conducted on total number of four specimens. Each specimen had a unique characteristics with combination of the following variables, existence of reinforcing bar and locations of reinforcing steel plates. The results of this study were as follows; concrete filled steel tubes with being reinforced bar and flange rather than non-bar showed better performance. Higher yield, tensile strength and sufficient plastic strain were archived and maximum moment observed in experiments exceeded theoretical maximum moment in both allowable stress design and limit state design at all specimens.

  • Feasibility studies of a reinforced concrete (RC) deep pile foundation system with the compressed air energy storage (CAES) technology were conducted in previous studies. However, those studies showed some technical limitations in its serviceability and durability performances. To overcome such drawbacks of the conventional RC energy pile system, various steel-concrete composite pile foundations are addressed in this study to be utilized as a dual functional system for an energy storage medium and load-resistant foundation. This study conducts finite element analyses to examine the applicability of various composite energy pile foundation systems considering the combined effects of structural loading, soil boundary forces, and internal air pressures induced by the thermos-dynamic cycle of compressed air. On this basis, it was clearly confirmed that the role of inner and outer tubes is essential in terms of reliable storage tank and better constructability of pile, respectively, and the steel tubes in the composite pile foundation can also ensure improved serviceability and durability performances compared to the conventional RC pile system.

지반 반력 스프링 시스템을 이용한 강관 합성 말뚝의 수평 지지 특성 평가 (Estimation of the lateral behavior of steel-concrete composite piles using subgrade-reaction spring system)

  • Steel casing used to keep a borehole wall in the construction of drilled shaft increases the vertical and lateral stiffness and strength of pile, but it is usually pulled out or ignored due to the absence of standard or the problem of erosion of steel casing. In order to make use of steel casing as a permanent structure, this study carried out an experimental work for the steel-concrete composite pile. Four types of piles were used to estimate the lateral behavior of piles, which are reinforced concrete pile, steel pile and steel-concrete composite pile with and without reinforcing bar. The subgrade-reaction spring system was developed to simulate the lateral stiffness of soil in laboratory. Also, the composite loading system which can apply the axial and lateral load simultaneously was employed.

말뚝 재하시험을 이용한 강관합성 현장타설말뚝의 적용성 분석 (Applicability of Steel-Concrete Composite Drilled Shafts by Pile Loading Tests)

  • 강관합성 현장타설말뚝은 굴착시 공벽보호를 위해 사용되는 강관케이싱을 구조재로 보고 내부에 콘크리트를 채운 합성말뚝으로서 외부 강관이 내부 콘크리트의 변형을 억제하여 말뚝의 강도를 증가시키고 연성파괴를 유도하는 보강 효과를 발휘한다. 본 연구에서는 강관합성 현장타설말뚝의 현장 적용성을 분석하기 위하여 현장재하시험을 수행하였다. 시험결과 강관 선단부 즉, 강관합성-콘크리트 경계면이 구조적으로 취약하며 휨에 대한 저항력이 작기 때문에 내부 철근망을 설치하여 이 부분을 보강할 필요가 있었다. 또한 강관합성-콘크리트 경계면이 휨모멘트의 영향을 받지 않는 충분히 갚은 깊이에 위치하고 주변지반의 구속효과가 발휘되는 경우에는 강관합성 현장타설말뚝의 하부 콘크리트 재료에 대한 허용강도가 증가하므로 강관합성 현장타설말뚝의 설계하중을 증가시켜 경제적인 설계가 기능해질 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • In this paper flexure-compression characteristics of concrete filled glass fiber reinforced composite pile was studied. Confinement model of composite pile was derived from experimental data. Also numerical method to find P-M diagram of composite pile was developed. The flexure-compression test results were compared with analytical P-M diagram and it is demonstrated that they agree well each other. Utilizing these results, pilot composite pile was designed and fabricated.

  • Road or Railway construction over soft ground is needed to be considered on secondary consolidation which will be caused differential settlement, lack of transport serviceability, higher maintenance cost. Especially for the railway construction in the second phase of Gyung-Bu or Ho-Nam high speed railway, concrete slab track has been adapted as a safe and cost effective geotechnical solution. In this case controlling the total settlement under the tolerance is essential. And pile supported geogrid reinforced construction method is suggested as a solution for the problem of the traditional method on soft soil treatments. Pile supported geogrid reinforced construction method consists of piles that are designed to transfer the load of the embankment through the compressible soil layer to a firm foundation. The load from the embankment must be effectively transferred to the piles to prevent punching of the piles through the embankment fill creating differential settlement at the surface of the embankment. The arrangement of the piles can create soil arching to carry the load of embankment to the piles. In order to minimize the number of piles geogrid reinforced pile supported construction method is being used on a regular basis. This method consists of one or more layers of geogrid reinforcement placed between the top of the piles and the bottom of the embankment. This paper presents several methods of pile supported geogrid reinforced construction and calculation results from the several methods and comparison of them.

철근 콘크리트 충전 PHC말뚝의 휨 설계 및 성능 평가 (Flexural Design and Experiments on Reinforced Concrete Filled PHC Pile)

  • PHC말뚝을 보강한 CFP말뚝의 P-M 상관도를 통한 휨 모멘트 예측과 휨 실험 결과를 통해 P-M 계산법의 타당성과 CFP말뚝의 휨 성능을 평가한 실험 연구이다. 시험체는 PHC말뚝과 링형 합성 전단연결재 그리고 속채움 콘크리트를 기본으로 한 CFP말뚝과 1차 보강(말뚝 보강철근 H13-8ea), 2차 보강(내부 보강철근 H19-8ea)으로 제작된 시험체의 휨 실험 결과 CFP-N-N 시험체 대비 최고 하중이 46.4%, 103.9% 증대되었으며, 보강 철근량에 따른 연성능력 증대가 이루어졌다. 또한 CFP말뚝 설계법의 극한한계상태 예측값과 실험 결과값을 비교해 볼 때, 각 보강 단계별 1.23, 1.40배의 안전율을 확보하여 본 연구에서 제시한 설계법이 합리적인 것으로 판단된다.

  • The problems associated with constructing high-speed concrete track embankments over soft compressible soil has lead to the development and/or extensive use of many of the ground improvement techniques used today. Drains, surcharge loading, and geosynthetic reinforcement, have all been used to solve the settlement and embankment stability issues associated with construction on soft soils. Geosynthetic-reinforced embankment supporting piles method consist of vertical columns that are designed to transfer the load of the embankment through the soft compressible soil layer to a firm foundation and one or more layers of geosynthetic reinforcement placed between the top of the columns and the bottom of the embankment. In the paper, the evaluations of a seismic performance of geosynthetic-reinforced embankment piles for a ultra soft ground during earthquake were studied. the equivalent linear analysis was performed by SHAKE for soft ground. A seismic performance analysis of Piles was performed by GROUP PILE and PLAXIS for geosynthetic-reinforced embankment piles. Guidelines is required for pile displacement during earthquake. Conclusions of the studies come up with a idea for soil stiffness, conditions of pile cap, pile length and span.

  • 유리섬유복합관을 이용한 FRP-콘크리트 합성말뚝에 대하여 연직하중을 받는 FRP-콘크리트 합성말뚝의 지반의 변형과 말뚝의 복합적인 상호거동을 분석하여 현장에 적용할 수 있는 효과적인 말뚝의 적용성을 평가하고자 한다. 이 연구에서는 CFFT 감재-콘크리트 합성말뚝과 FRP를 원주방향으로 보강한 FRP-콘크리트 합성말뚝(CFFT)과 관련하여 발생하는 문제점들을 완하시키기 위해 새롭게 제안된 콘크리트 채움 원형 FRP 말뚝(HCFFT)의 구조적 거동에 대한 실내시험을 통한 FRP-콘크리트 합성말뚝의 재료의 역학적 성질을 규명하여 해석 및 설계에 필요한 역학적 성질을 제시하였다. 아울러 실내시험 결과를 유한차분 수치해석 기법을 적용하여 연직하중 작용 시 단일말뚝인 경우 강관말뚝과 FRP-콘크리트 합성말뚝에 거동을 비교분석하여 적용성을 확인해 보았다.
