Noise reduction effect of a pine tree which was used to reinforce a noise barrier was studied by using reduced scale model test. The result show that the pine tree itself was less effective but the combination of pine tree and noise barrier was good for reducing the noise and sight.

Recently, a technology based on the proportional integral (PI) control have grown rapidly owing to the needs for the robust capacity of the controllers from industrial building sectors. However, PI controller generally requires tuning of gains for optimal control when the outside weather condition changes. The present study presents the possibility of reinforcement learning (RL) control algorithm with PI controller adapted in the HVAC system. The optimal design criteria of RL controller was proposed in the environment chamber experiment and a theoretical analysis was also conducted using TRNSYS program.

The object of this thesis is an study on detailing for concrete reinforcement and analytical study for seismic behavior of underground reinforced concrete box structures using the established seismic analytical method. Using the established seismic analytical method that has been presented in various documents seismic behavior of buried reinforce concrete box structures is compared. From the comparsion, it is shown that feasibility and detailing detailng for concrete reinforcement and seismic method for seismic analysis of buried reinforced concrete box structures.

During excavation in seocheon tunnel, sudden groundwater inundation occurred in complex hydro-geological environments prevailing in underground tunnel. Large volumes of groundwater flowed into tunnel at STA 54km600. The authors have provided a comprehensive background to hydro-mechanics of groundwater with a geological analysis, ground investigation, hydro- mechanical modelling etc. To reinforce tunnel, we have applied the TAS grouting and the steel multi-layer grouting, and comfirmed the effects of reinforcement.

In this study, we propose a new logarithmic barrier approach to solve linear programming problem using the projective method of Karmarkar. We are interested in computation of the direction by Newton's method and of the step-size using minorant functions instead of line search methods in order to reduce the computation cost. Our new approach is even more beneficial than classical line search methods. We reinforce our purpose by many interesting numerical simulations proved the effectiveness of the algorithm developed in this work.

The World Health Organization and its member states, in 1978, declared that primary health care is a key to attain the goal of Health for All by the goal of Health for All by the yeas 2000. As a member state of WHO, the Republic of Korea has participated in the declaration of ALMA-ATA and committed to put national efforts for devedoping and implementing primary health care approach with the spirit and content of this Declaration. Since 1978, to translate the spirit of the Declaration into realization, Korean goverment has developed a new category of health manpower such as Community Health Practitioners serving people living in remote rural areas and Village Health Workers serving voluntarily their own village, strengthened the function of Health Centers and Health Subcenters through their reorientation and improved the infrastructure by their new construction or renovation. While primary health care is viewed as an essential health care in Korea, there are some circles who follow a narrow definition in referring to the health care at the periphey of a health system, which is erroneous. Considering the PHC is accepted as the best alternative approach to health care to solve problems that modern health systems are facing, we propose the followings as desirable health policy directions that modern health systems are facing, we propose the followings as desirable health policy directions which might translate the persopective into action at the national level after reviewing past and current PHC approach in Korea : 1. To improve the equity through the reduction of gaps between those who have access to health care and those who have not. 2. To reinforce multisectoral approach and intersectoral coordination through the re- establishment of the National Health Council or establishment of equivalent organization at the central level. 3. To stengthen community participation through lacal people's empowerment by leadership training, changing planning process from the top-down approach to bottom-up and giving the priority to human resources rater than technology, 4. To reinforce the Ministries of Health and Social Affairs through upgrading its role and function to Coordinate Ministries which involve human welfare policies, and creating a Division which is in charge of PHC in the Ministry.

The purpose of this study is to reinforce the relationship of high-school, university and industries. In order to achieve the object of this study, we sampled and specified the core competencies. We investigated, analyzed the cognition of high school teacher to the current curriculum of high school related to the core competencies and the cognition of industries to the current curriculum of university related to the core competencies. For the study, the literature researches was conducted about the need to university education of industry, various curriculum of high-school and university. 15 items of the core competencies were sampled. The survey was conducted, based on 15 items of the core competencies.
