Global(mega) event has increased throughout the 1990s, with the biggest surge occurring in the Asia-Pacific region. Along with this upward trend, competition for more desirable tourists is also surging, so destinations cannot be complacent (Getz, 1997). Event is appearing as the powerful method in the fierce competition around the industry. International events like 99 Hanam Environment Expo have been held annually in Korea since 1991 in which the local government system started. The main roles of event are to enhance the image of communities and attract tourists (Kotler and Haider and Rein, 1993), to strengthen destination attractiveness as drawing power (Mill and Morrison, 1985), and so on. Focused on the destination image, the research (Sirakaya and Sheppard and McLellan, 1997) about the effect of perceived safety at a potential vacation destination showed that destination marketers, travel agents, and hospitality industry members should be concerned with improving their images when such images are negative with regard to safety. Event industry in Korea does not seriously recognize the importance of the safety management against accidents known for tarnishing the destination images. Moreover few safety standards or studies for event industry can be found. This paper investigated the safety factors considered by visitors of 99 Hanam Environment Expo and analyzed the correlation between the safety factors and the demographic characteristics of the visitors.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of sociodemographic factors, BMI, self-esteem, body image, and external factors including parents, peers, and mass media on dieting behavior. The data were collected from 360 high school students in Gyeongbuk region. The respondents who have performed diet in the past or present were classified into the diet group. The students of diet group and non-diet group were 238 and 122, respectively. Frequencies, Cronbach's $\alpha$, t tests, and logistic regression analysis were carried out by SPSS Windows V.17.0. The results of this study were as follows. The diet group had higher level of BMI and concerns about diet than non-diet group. In addition, the diet group showed the more positive attitude about diet, and lower level of self-esteem and body image than the non-diet group. The diet group was more influenced by parents, peers, and mass media on body type than the non-diet group. Finally, according to the result of logistic regression analysis, BMI, attitude about diet, body image, effect of peers on body type, and effect of mass media on body type were significant factors to determine dieting behavior. These results imply that mass media should inform adolescents of proper body image and knowledge about diet. In addition, education for regular exercise also needs for healthy diet.

The purpose of this study is to present HACCP management method for improving customer satisfaction in bakery industry. As a study method, literature review on HACCP and customer satisfaction and developing questionnaires through model design were done. Then, a survey was done to 209 customers who had experiences of visiting small size bakeries in Seoul or the national capital region. It was then statistically analyzed and examined. In conclusion, even though the respondents showed positive expectation that the certification of HACCP will have an effect on the factors of customer satisfaction like brand image, quality of product and service, facility and physical environment and so on, but as we proved in the course of study model's hypothesis confirmation, actually, current promoting efforts and strategies of the government or related institutions to spread recognition of HACCP don't have an meaningful effect on the factors of customer satisfaction.
In this paper, we propose a novel motion field estimation algorithm for which a U-disparity map and forward-and-backward error removal are applied in a vehicular environment. Generally, a motion exists in an image obtained by a camera attached to a vehicle by vehicle movement; however, the obtained motion vector is inaccurate because of the surrounding environmental factors such as the illumination changes and vehicles shaking. It is, therefore, difficult to extract an accurate motion vector, especially on the road surface, due to the similarity of the adjacent-pixel values; therefore, the proposed algorithm first removes the road surface region in the obtained image by using a U-disparity map, and uses then the optical flow that represents the motion vector of the object in the remaining part of the image. The algorithm also uses a forward-backward error-removal technique to improve the motion-vector accuracy and a vehicle's movement is predicted through the application of the RANSAC (RANdom SAmple Consensus) to the previously obtained motion vectors, resulting in the generation of a motion field. Through experiment results, we show that the performance of the proposed algorithm is superior to that of an existing algorithm.

Thailand has a rapidly growing pharmaceutical sector, which is the eighth largest in the Asia-Pacific region and one of the largest and most developed among the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries. This study examines how to provide the most appropriate approach to enhance Thailand's pharmaceutical services to dispense medicine to end consumers. The main objective is to determine the most appropriate corporate image for Thai Pharmacy Retail Stores (PRSs) for entering the ASEAN market community. An exploratory mixed-method design characterized by qualitative and quantitative phases of data collection and analysis and the linking of data from these two separate data strands was adopted to conduct an in-depth interview with pharmacists and the owner of pharmacy retail stores as well as 405 respondents who had visited a pharmacy retail store and interacted with pharmacists during the previous year. The multiple linear regression (MLR) was applied to analyze the relative influences of perceived service quality and the cultural dimension on the corporate image. Findings reveal that the perceived service quality and cultural dimension contribute 50% towards the corporate image, and the perceived service quality had more effect than cultural dimension. This study mainly focuses on PRSs in Thailand, while the findings show other analyses concerning how to successfully create and promote an effective PRS image for ASEAN markets.
The Brightness, color and texture included in a multispectral satellite data are used as important factors to analyze and to apply the image data for a proper use. One of the most significant process in the satellite data analysis using texture or color information is to extract features effectively expressing the information of original image. It was described in this paper that six features were introduced to extract useful features from the analysis of the satellite data, and also a classification network using the back-propagation neural network was constructed to evaluate the classification ability of each vector feature in SPOT imagery. The vector features were adopted from the training set selection for the interesting region, and applied to the classification process. The classification results showed that each vector feature contained many merits and demerits depending on each vector's characteristics, and each vector had compatible classification ability. Therefore, it is expected that the color and texture features are effectively used not only in the classification process of satellite imagery, but in various image classification and application fields.
As various types of regional festivals are contributing to the growth of local economy, promoting the culture, and enhancing the region's images, representative festivals are getting more important for local governments. This study analyzed the correlation between satisfaction on festivals' attractiveness and images of the region, based on an actual field study taken with respondants who visited 2012 Anseong World's Folkloriada Festivals. Among various facets that affect festivals' attractiveness, 4 factors such as services aside from transportation and promotional guides, programs, convenient facilities, and food significantly affected tourists' satisfaction level. Tourists' satisfaction level was found to have significant impact on the enhancement of local images. Based on these findings, this paper suggests implications and limitation of the research as well as future directions for the study.
Background: All clinicians are aware of the difficulty of installing a dental implant in posterior maxilla because of proximate position of maxillary sinus, insufficient bone width, and lower bone density. This study is to examine which factors will make the implantation in the posterior maxilla more difficult, and which factors will affect the postoperative implant stability in this region. Methods: Five hundred seventy-three fixtures on the maxilla posterior were included for this study from all the patients who underwent an installation of the dental implant fixture from January 2010 to December 2014 at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Pusan National University Dental Hospital (Yangsan, Korea). The postoperative implant stability quotient (ISQ) value, fixture diameter and length, presence of either bone graft or sinus lift, and graft material were included in the reviewed factors. The width and height of the bone bed was assessed via preoperative cone beam CT image analysis. The postoperative ISQ value was taken just before loading by using the OsstellTM $mentor^{(R)}$ (Integration Diagnostics AB, Gothenburg, Sweden). The t test and ANOVA methods were used in the statistical analysis of the data. Results: Mean ISQ of all the included data was 79.22. Higher initial bone height, larger fixture diameter, and longer fixture length were factors that influence the implant stability on the posterior edentulous maxilla. On the other hand, the initial bone width, bone graft and sinus elevation procedure, graft material, and approach method for sinus elevation showed no significant impact associated with the implant stability on the posterior edentulous maxilla. Conclusions: It is recommended to install the fixtures accurately in a larger diameter and longer length by performing bone graft and sinus elevation.

In the realm of dental prosthesis fabrication, obtaining accurate impressions has historically been a challenging and inefficient process, often hindered by hygiene concerns and patient discomfort. Addressing these limitations, Company D recently introduced a cutting-edge solution by harnessing the potential of intraoral scan images to create 3D dental models. However, the complexity of these scan images, encompassing not only teeth and gums but also the palate, tongue, and other structures, posed a new set of challenges. In response, we propose a sophisticated real-time image segmentation algorithm that selectively extracts pertinent data, specifically focusing on teeth and gums, from oral scan images obtained through Company D's oral scanner for 3D model generation. A key challenge we tackled was the detection of the intricate molar regions, common in dental imaging, which we effectively addressed through intelligent data augmentation for enhanced training. By placing significant emphasis on both accuracy and speed, critical factors for real-time intraoral scanning, our proposed algorithm demonstrated exceptional performance, boasting an impressive accuracy rate of 0.91 and an unrivaled FPS of 92.4. Compared to existing algorithms, our solution exhibited superior outcomes when integrated into Company D's oral scanner. This algorithm is scheduled for deployment and commercialization within Company D's intraoral scanner.
The glomerular filtration rate (GFR) has been the subject of much research as a key indicator for diagnosing, treating, and monitoring kidney function. The gamma camera method (Gates method) is simple and allows simultaneous acquisition of GFR and renal scintigraphy for each kidney, however its accuracy is inferior. This study aimed to investigate changes in GFR depending on how region of interest (ROI) are set up, which is one of many factors influencing accuracy. GFR was calculated by setting the ROI for each phase of the image acquisition time (Gates-1: 0~1 minutes, Gates-2: 1~3 minutes, Gates-3: 3~27 minutes), and statistical significance was verified based on probability value 0.05 through ANOVA analysis. While there was no statistically significant difference among results from Gates-1, 2, 3 (p=0.481>0.05), overall results from the Gates method tended to overestimate compared to those from the multiple blood sampling-dual exponential (MBSDE) method. When comparing averages between phases, results from Gates-2 were most similar to those from the MBSDE method. Moreover, paired t-test p-values between MBSDE method and phases were as follows Gates-1: 0.021 (p<0.05), Gates-2: 0.280 (p>0.05), and Gates-3: 0.164 (p>0.05) indicating that only Gates-1 had statistically significant differences compared with MBSDE method. Thus, setting ROI around 2~3 minutes is calculated can aid in accurately determining GFR when Gates Method.
