학습성찰일지 작성 경험에 관한 연구 : 성서교수법 수업사례를 중심으로 (A Study on the Experience of Writing a Learning Reflection Journal : Focusing on the case of Biblical Teaching Method Class)

  • 연구 목적 : 본 연구의 목적은 학습성찰일지 작성 경험을 분석하고, 효과를 파악하여 효과적인 학습성찰일지 활동 방안을 제안하고자 함이다. 연구 내용 및 방법 : 본 연구는 학습성찰일지의 개념과 교육적 효과를 교육학적 측면과 기독교교육학적 측면에서 문헌 연구를 통해 이론적 배경을 살펴보고, 성서교수법 수업을 수강한 학생들이 작성한 중간 및 기말 서술식 강의평가 자료, 교수자가 직접 만든 종강설문지 등의 자료, 12번의 학습성찰일지 작성 경험을 한 6명의 학생과의 면담을 통해 학습성찰일지 경험을 분석하였다. 이를 통해 학습성찰일지의 효과를 파악하고 전공 수업을 통해 아는 것을 실천하는 기독교교육자로서 성장할 수 있는 훈련에 적용할 수 있는 효과적인 학습성찰일지 활동 방안을 제안하였다. 결론 및 제언 : 효과적인 학습성찰일지 활동을 위해 복습과 성찰의 문항을 부담이 되지 않도록 줄이고, 균형있게 문항을 포함할 것과 학습자 측면에서 도움이 되는 방향으로 문항을 설정하고, 수업 태도 개선을 위한 실천적 효과를 얻을 수 있는 문항을 포함할 것을 제안하였다. 제출 기간과 작성 횟수에 대해 학생들과 학기 초에 합의하여 정할 것을 제안하였다.

수학적 상황 설정 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Method of Mathematical Situation Posing)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out what mathematical situation means, how to pose a meaningful situation and how situation-centered teaching could be done. The obtained informations will help learners to improve their math abilities. A survey was done to investigate teachers' perception on teaching-learning in mathematics by elementary teachers. The result showed that students had to find solutions of the textbook problems accurately in the math classes, calculated many problems for the class time and disliked mathematics. We define mathematical situation. It is artificially scene that emphasize the process of learners doing mathematizing from physical world to identical world. When teacher poses and expresses mathematical situation, learners know mathematical concepts through the process of mathematizing in the mathematical situation. Mathematical situation contains many concepts and happens in real life. Learners act with real things or models in the mathematical situation. Mathematical situation can be posed by 5 steps(learners' environment investigation step, mathematical knowledge investigation step, mathematical situation development step, adaption step and reflection step). Situation-centered teaching enhances mathematical connections, arises learners' interest and develops the ability of doing mathematics. Therefore teachers have to reform textbook based on connections of mathematics, other subject and real life, math curriculum, learners' level, learners' experience, learners' interest and so on.

Impact of Teachers’ Overcoming Experience of Threshold Concepts in Chemistry on Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) Development

  • As a follow-up study to identify references for threshold concepts in science, 20 high school chemistry teachers were interviewed. Seven concepts were identified as threshold concepts. The data revealed that teachers overcome the thresholds while they are teaching as well as learning during their school years. This explains that the mastery experience of threshold concepts involve not only the process of creating subject matter knowledge of a learner but also the reflection on or preparation for teaching. Hence, the current study proposes that a strong relationship exists between the mastery experience of threshold concepts and the development of teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge (PCK). In this regard, findings from this study will provide valuable information to understand the nature of threshold concepts and suggests the value of mastery experience of threshold concepts in terms of PCK development.

Reflection on the Educator Mindset for Teaching Mathematics to Diverse Students in the Constructivist Elementary Classroom

  • In this perspective paper, we present seven elements of the appropriate educator mindset for teaching in the constructivist elementary mathematics classroom. The elements include supporting students as they construct their own understanding, eliminating deficit view of slow learners, setting new understanding and growth as the learning objective, providing opportunities to co-construct meaning with peers, using student contributions as the source of curricular material, encouraging all students to participate in learning, and providing instruction not bounded by time. In our struggles to provide authentic, inclusive elementary classrooms, we hope that our discussion of the educator mindset can increase discourse on constructivism from philosophy to practice in the community of mathematics education and policy makers.

The Role of "Personal Knowledge" in Solid Geometry among Primary School Mathematics Teachers

  • Teachers' personal knowledge (PK) is an element in their pedagogic-practical knowledge. This study exposes the PK of primary school mathematics teachers regarding solid geometry through reflection. Students are exposed to solid geometry on various levels, from kindergarten age and above. Previous studies attested to the fact that students encounter difficulties-strong dislike and fear engendered by geometry. A good number of teachers have strong dislike to solid geometry, as well. Therefore, those engaged in teaching the subject must address the problem and try to overcome these difficulties. In this paper we have introduced the reflective process among teachers in primary school, including application of Van-Hiele's theory to solid geometry.

LNG 탱크의 주름진 내벽박판용 자동용접시스템의 개발에 관한 연구 (A study on development of automatic welding system for corrugated membranes of the LNG tank)

  • Development of an automatic TIG welding system incorporating a vision sensor and torch control mechanism leads to an improved welding quality and greater production efficiency. The automatic welding system should be greatly restricted in its size and weight for the LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas) storage tank and also provide a unique torch rotating mechanism which keeps the torch tip in the constant position while the angle is changed continuously to maintain the welding torch substantially perpendicular to the weld line. The developed system is driven by two translation axes X, Z and one rotational axis. A moving line window method is adopted to the image recognition of the corrugated membranes with specular reflection. This method decides original laser stripe patterns in image which is affected by multi-reflection. A self-teaching algorithm, which guides the automatic welding machine with the information provided by the CCD camera without any previous learning of a reference trajectory, was developed for tracking the corrugated membrane of the LNG tank along the weld line.

빛의 반사 및 굴절 시뮬레이션 코스웨어 설계 및 구현 (Simulated Courseware Design and Materialization of Light Reflection and Refraction)

  • 본 논문은 새로운 교육환경에 부응하는 학습자 중심의 시뮬레이션 코스웨어를 설계 구현하였다. 그 소재는 고등학교 물리과목의 빛의 반사와 굴절로 한다. 이 논문에서는 코스웨어의 유형과 학생 중심 학습 신념이나 대체 개념을 교수-학습에 고려한 구성주의 학습 개념을 정의하고 이론적 배경을 소개한다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션의 교수-이론 구조 절차를 살펴보았으며. 빛의 반사와 굴절에 대한 기본적인 개념을 다루고, 구면거을의 상과 렌즈의 상을 간단한 원리와 관계식 모형으로 설명한다. 구성주의 학습이론에 근간한 컴퓨터시뮬레이션 코스웨어 설계절차를 제시하고 구현함으로써 빛의 반사와 굴절시 물체의 거리와 초점거리의 변화에 따라 상의 종류 상의 형태상의 거리가 변화함을 보여주고 있다.

빛의 반사 개념 이해를 위한 상호작용적 실험이 포함된 동료교수법 교수·학습 자료의 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of Peer Instruction Including Interactive Experiments Focused on Reflection of Light)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 평면거울에 의한 빛의 반사 개념을 이해하도록 돕기 위해서 상호작용을 강조한 실험이 포함된 동료교수법 기반 교수 학습 자료를 개발하는데 있다. 선행연구에서 밝힌 학생들의 오개념을 바탕으로 Hands-on 실험이 포함된 강의와 개념검사문항을 개발하였고 숙제를 통해 개념의 정착을 유도하였다. 29명의 대학생을 대상으로 적용한 결과를 사전 사후검사, 토론 전 후 개념검사문항, 숙제의 정답률 비교와 Hake gain을 통해 분석한 결과, 학생들은 상호작용적인 실험과 동료토론을 통해 평면거울에서의 상의 위치와 빛의 진행에 대한 이해도가 높아졌음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 RTOP을 통해 수업에 대한 학생들의 인식을 조사한 결과, 학생들은 이 수업이 인지적으로 개념의 이해를 돕도록 구성되어 있고 교수자와 학습자 간 상호작용이 활발하게 일어난다고 평가하고 있었다. 이 연구를 통해 실험과 토론 등 상호작용을 강조하는 수업 방법이 기초적인 개념 이해를 도왔음을 확인할 수 있었다.

국민학교 환경교육의 효율적 지도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effective Teaching Method for the Environmental Education in Korean Primary School)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the concern of the primary school teachers and the teaching situation about the environmental education through questionnaire survey on the effective environmental education. The results of questionnaire were analysed and discussed to provide the effective teaching method for the environmental education. The result of this study is as follows. 1. It was found that teachers want to teach environmental lessons as a special subject, and the content of the environmental lessons in textbook was not enough in quantity, the living waste was the most serious ploblem. Owing to the lacking in materials for the lectures on environmental education, most teachers collect the material depending on the mass communication. Also they were more interested in the environmental lessons rather than the other lessons in textbook. But because of the lacking in administrative assistance, they have difficulty in conducting the effective environmental education. 2. The teaching method of the environmental education in most primary schools was a all together-type lecture in classroom. Owing to conducting the environmental education for the knowledge than the action through the extra activity, it was difficult to expect the effect of the environmental education. Also the rate of using the reflection materials which can be improved the studying effect was very low. 3. For the effective environmental education most teachers wanted the spot learnings and the case studies and teacher education and training to get an special knowledge for environmental education. The effective evaluation method for children's environmental education is to present the results by environmental experiences and practices and to formulate a system education is organized for the effective management and activation of environmental education. 4. By practising the seasonal spot learnings, students need to change of learning method and to realize the importance of environment through own self-experiences. 5. In the future, it is desirable that researching of an environmental education is offered the effective practising teaching method which is improving the development of customs and functions, cultivation of the sense of value, ability to solve the problem, to determine the intention as well as the survey on the real situation and the consciousness about environmental education.

타 교과와 연결된 상황 설정을 통한 함수적 사고 지도 방안 (Teaching Method for Functional Thinking by Situation Posing Connected with Other Subjects)

  • 함수적 사고는 학교 수학에서 가장 중요한 주제이고 함수적 사고 지도의 목적은 학생들의 함수적 사고를 향상시키는 것이라고 할 때 초등학교에서 함수적 사고를 지도한다는 것은 함수적 사고의 속성인 지정과 종속의 연관이 내재된 현상을 의미하는 함수적 사고이다. 함수적 사고를 습득했는지에 대한 평가 방법은 함수적 사고의 지도를 통해 학생들이 함수적 사고를 한다고 판단할 수 있는 학생들의 활동이다. 이를 위해서 교사는 함수적 속성을 갖는 타 교과의 내용과 관련된 함수적 상황의 형태의 전형적인 예(paradigm)을 제공하고, 적절한 발문을 통해 안내해야 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 타 교과와 연결된 상황 설정을 통한 함수적 사고의 지도 방안을 구안하고 적용하여 보다 발전된 지도 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서 제안하는 지도 방안은 함수적 상황의 준비단계, 적용단계, 반성단계의 3단계로 구성되며, 각 단계에서 지도해야 할 방안들을 제안하고자 한다.
