  • This paper presents how to implement Markerless Augmented Reality and how to create and apply reference data sets. There are three parts related with implementation: setting camera, creation of reference data set, and tracking. To create effective reference data sets, we need a 3D model such as CAD model. It is also required to create reference data sets from various viewpoints. We extract the feature points from the mode1 image and then extract 3D positions corresponding to the feature points using ray tracking. These 2D/3D correspondence point sets constitute a reference data set of the model. Reference data sets are constructed for various viewpoints of the model. Fast tracking can be done using a reference data set the most frequently matched with feature points of the present frame and model data near the reference data set.

  • A new lightwave locking technique which can be used in tuning the wavelength of a local laser diode to the reference wavelength is presented in this paper. The optical frequency from the reference laser source and the optical frequency from the local slave VCO laser are heterodyned on a optical receiver, resulting in the 1.5GHz RF signal corresponding to the difference frequency between two input optical signals. The difference frequency is locked to the reference 1.5GHz oscillator source in off-set frequency locking loop. Using the commercialized microwave components, frequency difference detector can be easily established to lock the lightwave. The optical frequency of 1.55um laser diode which keeps the frequency off-set of 1.5GHz is locked to the input reference optical signal with the locking range of 320MHz.

  • Set-up reference values, used in determining the optimum downcoiling tension, we experimentally verified in this study. During the actual downcoiling, the strip suffers both tension and bending force through the rotation of mandrel. Therefore, simulative test which can measure both tension and bending resistance of strip was performed to estimate set-up reference value for strip tension during downcoiling operations. The values obtained from the simulative test were correlated with the yield stress which has conventionally been used as reference values for downcoiling tension. The correlative analysis showed that the yield stress of strip can be a good reference value for downcoiling tension. Furthermore, the bending load also shows strong correlation with simulated values due to the close relationship between yield stress and bending load.

  • ISO 15926 is an international standard for integration of lifecycle data for process plants including oil and gas facilities. From the viewpoint of information modeling, ISO 15926 Parts 2 provides the general data model that is designed to be used in conjunction with reference data. Reference data are standard instances that represent classes, objects, properties, and templates common to a number of users, process plants, or both. ISO 15926 Parts 4 and 7 provide the initial set of classes, objects, properties and the initial set of templates, respectively. User-defined reference data specific to companies or organizations are defined by inheriting from the initial reference data and the initial set of templates. In order to support the extension of reference data and templates, an editor that provides creation, deletion and modification functions of user-defined reference data is needed. In this study, an editor for reference data based on ISO 15926 was developed. Sample reference data were encoded in OWL (web ontology language) according to the specification of ISO 15926 Part 8. iRINGTools and dot15926Editor were benchmarked for the design of GUI (graphical user interface). Reference data search, creation, modification, and deletion functions were implemented with XML (extensible markup language) DOM (document object model), and SPARQL (SPARQL protocol and RDF query language).

  • A couple of previous studies have warned against the use of homogeneous choice models in assessing the effect of reference price since unaccounted for response heterogeneity may result in spurious reference price effects(Chang, Siddarth and Weinberg 1999; Bell and Lattin 2000). According to Meyer and Kahn(1991), not accounting for consideration set heterogeneity may also bias the effect parameters in the choice model. Therefore, failure to account for these two sources of bias, in fact, have cast doubt on the empirical support for reference price effects in general. In view of aforementioned potential sources of bias, the author investigates the robustness of loss aversion effect in the reference-dependent model after accounting for heterogeneity in response as well as consideration set. The proposed model defines individual household's consideration set based on the posterior distribution of preference obtained from the Empirical Bayes approach. In addition, the same posterior distribution is used to form household-specific reference prices. Response heterogeneity correction is carried out via the Latent Class approach. The proposed model outperforms the Reference-Dependent model that includes the reference price measure most often employed in the previous studies. This implies that as a way of simplifying decision task, consumers restrict their consideration set to a subset of available brands not only in making a brand choice but also in forming reference prices.

  • Government has recently restricted heating and cooling set temperatures for the commercial and public buildings due to increasing national energy consumption. The goal of this paper is to visualize a future two way indoor set temperature control impact on building energy consumption by using TRNSYS simulation modeling. The building was modelled based on the twin test cell with the same dimension. Air source ground coupled heat pump performance data has been used for modeling by TRNSYS 17. Daejeon weather data has been used from Korea Solar Energy Society. The heating set temperature in the reference room is $24^{\circ}C$ as well as the target room set temperature are $23^{\circ}C$, $22^{\circ}C$, $21^{\circ}C$ and $20^{\circ}C$. The cooling set temperature of the reference room is also $24^{\circ}C$ as well as the target room set temperature of $25^{\circ}C$, $26^{\circ}C$, $27^{\circ}C$ and $28^{\circ}C$. For the air source heat pump system, heating season energy consumption is $35.52kWh/m^2y$ in the reference room. But the heating energy consumption in the target room is reduced to 7.5% whenever the set temperature decreased every $1^{\circ}C$. The cooling energy consumption in the reference room is $4.57kWh/m^2y$. On the other hand, the energy consumption in the target room is reduced to 22% whenever the set temperature increased every $1^{\circ}C$ by two way controller. For the geothermal heat pump system, heating energy consumption in the reference room is reduced to 20.7%. The target room heating energy consumption is reduced to 32.6% when the set temperature is $22^{\circ}C$. The energy consumption in the target room is reduced to 59.5% when the set temperature is $26^{\circ}C$.

  • Choline is a water-soluble organic compound that is important for the normal functioning of the body. It is an essential dietary component as de novo synthesis by the human body is insufficient. Since the United States set the Adequate Intakes (AIs) for total choline as dietary reference values in 1998, Australia, China, and the European Union have also established the choline AIs. Although choline is clearly essential to life, the 2020 Dietary Reference Intakes for Koreans (KDRIs) has not established the values because very few studies have been done on choline intake in Koreans. Since choline intake levels differ by race and country, human studies on Koreans are essential to set KDRIs. Therefore, the present study was undertaken to provide basic data for developing choline KDRIs in the future by analyzing data on choline intake in Koreans to date and reference values of choline intake and dietary choline intake status by country and race.

  • The Ministry of Environment is determining reference flows and goal water qualities in many stations over all around riverbasin to control TMDL. Reference flow is now defined to 10 years averaged 275th minimum flow$(Q_{275})$. Dam operation takes direct effect on flows downstream. The Yongdam mutipurposed dam was constructed in 2002 and TMDL managing stations between the Daecheong dam and the Yongdam dam are the Geumbon B, C, D, E, and F in main stream of the Geum river. Geumbon F is the Daecheong dam site. Observed flows are ideal to be used to set reference flows, but simulated flows are more practical to be used to set reference flows from the cause of the Yongdam dam's operation. A system for simulating daily storages of the Yongdam dam was constructed and the DAWAST model was selected to simulate daily streamflows. Analysis period was selected for 10 years from 1996 to 2005. Scenario was set as follows; Firstly, observed outflows from the Yongdam dam are used from 2002 to 2005 and the Yongdam dam does not exist from 1995 to 2001. Secondly, the Yongdam dam existed also from 1995 to 2001 and simulated outflows from the Yongdam dam are used from 1996 to 2005 with provision of constant outflow of $7.0m^3/s$ and water supply to the Jeonju region outsided watershed of $900,000m^3/day$. In case of scenario 1 reference flows at the Geumbon B, C, D, E, F are 4.52, 6.69, 7.96, 11.17, and $13.21m^3/s$, respectively. And in case of scenario 2 reference flows at the Geumbon B, C, D, E, F are 6.27, 8.48, 9.58, 12.73, and $15.12m^3/s$, respectively.

  • Recently, Pepe et al. (2003) employed the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) approach to rank candidate genes from a microarray experiment that can be used for the biomarker development with the ultimate purpose of the population screening of a cancer, In the cancer microarray experiment based on n patients the researcher often wants to compare the tumor tissue with the normal tissue within the same individual using a common reference RNA. This design is referred to as a reference design or an indirect design. Ideally, this experiment produces n pairs of microarray data, where each pair consists of two sets of microarray data resulting from reference versus normal tissue and reference versus tumor tissue hybridizations. However, for certain individuals either normal tissue or tumor tissue is not large enough for the experimenter to extract enough RNA for conducting the microarray experiment, hence there are missing values either in the normal or tumor tissue data. Practically, we have $n_1$ pairs of complete observations, $n_2$ 'normal only' and $n_3$ 'tumor only' data for the microarray experiment with n patients, where n=$n_1$+$n_2$+$n_3$. We refer to this data set as a mixed data set, as it contains a mix of fully observed and partially observed pair data. This mixed data set was actually observed in the microarray experiment based on human tissues, where human tissues were obtained during the surgical operations of cancer patients. Pepe et al. (2003) provide the rationale of using ROC approach based on two independent samples for ranking candidate gene instead of using t or Mann -Whitney statistics. We first modify ROC approach of ranking genes to a paired data set and further extend it to a mixed data set by taking a weighted average of two ROC values obtained by the paired data set and two independent data sets.
