이중화 무선호출 지구국 변조부 시스템의 수/자동 복합 이중화 제어 방법 구현 (Implementation of manual/automatic complex redundancy control method for modulation system of a paging earth station in reduntancy structure)

  • This paper describes implementation contents contents of manual/automatic complex redundancy control mothod for control of a modulation system of a Paging earth station in redundancy stracture. The existed redundancy control method usually is a automatic local control method in which the redundancy switching, including display or alarm beeping through operation of display devices or audio devices, is performed by the co-action of components or modules when the abnormal status is occurred in a modulation system. However, this method introduced in here is designed to enable use of three control modes;1) Manual mode by an operator, 2) Auto-remote mode by the Network Maagement System, through implementation of the redundancy control system composed of the redundancy control board and the redundancy switching circuit.

  • 본 논문에서는 게이트레벨회로 최적화를 위한, 논리적 redundancy를 제거하는 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 본 방법은 회로내의 모든 신호선에 대한 redundancy 조사를 피하여 일부의 신호선-fanout branch 신호선에 한정하여 조사를 행한다. 또 조사한 신호선이 nonredundant 할 경우에는, 그 신호선에 대한 조사 과정에 생성된 정보만을 이용하여, 다른 nonrodundant한 신호선을 유효하는 효율적인 procedure을 사용한다. 그리고, 한 신호선에 대한 redundancy 재조사를 피하기 위해, 신호선의 조사순서를 결정하는 휴리스틱한 방법을 제안한다. 본 방법은 기존의 테스팅이론을 응용한 휴리스틱한 방법으로, 각 신호선에 대한 redundancy 재조사를 행하지 않기 때문에 기존의 방법에 비해 실행시간이 매우 빠르다.

  • In the case of redundancy control performed by a netowrk management system, it can not be ignored some delay of control time and break of control by failure of the system. This paper proposed a new method to improve the performacne of a redundancy control system interfaced to the network management system. At first, it produced the modelling of the total system and analyzed the functional relation of reliability and failure rate for a transmission system having an one-to-one active redundancy structure controlled by itself. After describing the loss rate of transmission data and the time required for the redundancy control process of the network management system when a failure is occurred, it proposed the new redundancy method of complex system control mode as an effective redundancy control method to improve reliability of a redundancy control system. Finally, it proved the effect by comparing the new result to the previous result.

  • 본 논문에서는 wide data-width DRAM을 위한 flexible column redundancy scheme을 제안하였다. 구현된 redundancy scheme은 DB line shift method를 사용하여 wide data-width를 갖는 고집적 DRAM에 적용할 때 기존 redundancy scheme보다 더 작은 redundancy cell 면적과 fuse개수를 가지면서 더 큰 flexibility를 가지게 되었다.

  • 교량의 여유도는 주부재의 손상시 하중을 지탱할 수 있는 능력으로서 거더 개수, 지간, 형고, 내부지점, 부부재 등의 다양한 인자가 영향을 미치게 된다. 그러나, AASHTO 및 국내 도로교설계기준과 같은 현행 규정에서는 교량의 여유도를 단지 주거더의 개수로만 정의하고 있고, 그 평가 방법 및 요구 수준은 아직 제시되지 않고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 플레이트거더교를 대상으로 심각한 피로손상이 발생한 경우 주요 인자들을 고려하고 신뢰도 기법에 기반하여 교량의 여유도 평가 기법을 제안하였다. 또한, LRFD법 기반의 기준 교량에 대해 손상 시 내하력 해석과 신뢰성 해석을 수행하여 여유도의 요구 수준을 목표 시스템 신뢰도 지수 형태로 제안하였다. 마지막으로 현행 ASD법으로 설계된 단순 및 연속 플레이트거더교의 거더 수에 따른 여유도 수준을 평가 제시하였다.

  • As many systems depend on electronics, concern for fault tolerance is growing rapidly in the safety critical system such as intelligent vehicle. In order to make system fault tolerant, there has been a body of research mainly from aerospace field including predictive hybrid redundancy by Lee. Although the predictive hybrid redundancy has the fault tolerant mechanism to satisfy the fault tolerant requirement of safety crucial system such as x-by-wire system, it suffers form the variability of prediction performance according to the input feature of system. As an alternative to the prediction method of predictive hybrid redundancy for robust fault tolerant, Kalman prediction has attracted some attention because of its well-known and often-used with its structure called Kalman hybrid redundancy. In addition, several numerical simulation results are given where the Kalman hybrid redundancy outperforms with predictive smoothing voter.

  • Built-in redundancy analysis (BIRA) is widely used to enhance the yield of embedded memories. In this letter, a new BIRA method for both high repair efficiency and small hardware overhead is presented. The proposed method performs redundancy analysis operations using the spare mapping registers with a covered fault list. Experimental results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method compared to previous works.

  • Critical systems with high reliability feature fault tolerant redundancy. Conventional analytical reliability analysis methods that use the Reliability Block Diagram do not adequately reflect characteristics of the redundancy management system and are not suitable for this applications. This paper uses Monte-Carlo method to calculate the reliability of complicated redundant systems. The method was first validated for cases with analytical solutions. Then, the tool was successfully applied to analyze reliability of the flight control systems with a voter as redundancy management system.

  • The dependence of numerous systems on electronic devices is causing rapidly increasing concern over fault tolerance because of safety issues of safety critical system. As an example, a vehicle with electronics-controlled system such as x-by-wire systems, which are replacing rigid mechanical components with dynamically configurable electronic elements, should be fault¬tolerant because a devastating failure could arise without warning. Fault-tolerant systems have been studied in detail, mainly in the field of aeronautics. As an alternative to solve these problems, this paper presents the fuzzy hybrid redundancy system that can remove most erroneous faults with fuzzy fault detection algorithm. In addition, several numerical simulation results are given where the fuzzy hybrid redundancy outperforms with general voting method.

최대 시스템 신뢰도를 위한 최적 중복 설계: 유전알고리즘에 의한 접근 (Optimum redundancy design for maximum system reliability: A genetic algorithm approach)

  • Generally, parallel redundancy is used to improve reliability in many systems. However, redundancy increases system cost, weight, volume, power, etc. Due to limited availability of these resources, the system designer has to maximize reliability subject to various constraints or minimize resources while satisfying the minimum requirement of system reliability. This paper presents GAs (Genetic Algorithms) to solve redundancy allocation in series-parallel systems. To apply the GAs to this problem, we propose a genetic representation, the method for initial population construction, evaluation and genetic operators. Especially, to improve the performance of GAs, we develop heuristic operators (heuristic crossover, heuristic mutation) using the reliability-resource information of the chromosome. Experiments are carried out to evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm. The performance comparison between the proposed algorithm and a pervious method shows that our approach is more efficient.
