저전도율 유체 측정에서 소형 전자기유량계의 신호 특성 (Flow Signal Characteristics of Small Scale Electromagnetic Flowmeter in Low Conductivity Fluid Measurement)

  • 유체의 전도율(conductivity)이 전자기유량계의 특성에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위해 소형 전자기 유량계를 설계 제작하였다. 유량계의 측정관(measuring tube)은 $4mm{\times}3mm$의 직사각형 단면을 가지며 길이는 9 mm이다. 전극은 직경이 1.5 mm인 점전극과 단면이 $2mm{\times}3mm$인 면전극으로 설계하였다. 코일의 열 발생에 영향을 미치는 자화주파수, 회전수 및 굵기를 변화시키면서 최적값을 찾았다. 최적화된 측정관은 자속밀도(magnetic flux density) 0.04 T (400 gauss)를 발생시키며 안정되고, 선형적인 유량신호를 얻을 수 있었다. 유량계를 특성을 평가하기 위해 중량식 유량계 교정 장치를 제작하였다. 유동율 범위는 최대 $1.17{\times}10^{-5}m^3/s$(700 cc/min)이며 ISO규격에 따라 유동량 결정의 불확도를 평가하였으며 크기는 0.06 % 이내이었다. 유체의 전도율은 $3-11{\mu}S/cm$ 사이에서 조절하였다.

  • In this paper, $3^{rd}$ overtone mode energy-trapped filter using modified $PbTiO_3$ system ceramics was manufactured to apply for intermediate frequency SMD-type filter with the variations of splitted electrode size. To investigate the effects of splitted electrode size on filter characteristics of $3^{rd}$ overtone mode energy-trapped filter, ceramic wafers were fabricated by etching splitted rectangular electrode size($b{\times}d$) of b=0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1mm, d=0.3, 0.4, 0.5mm, respectively. And then, SMD-type ceramic filter were fabricated with the size of $3.7{\times}3.1mm$.   • 외부자계가 가해진 냉프라즈마에서의 마이크로파 전파 특성을 측정하였다. 직류방전프라즈마는 두 전극판을 구형도파관에 삽입한것과, 또한 유리시설관을 구형도파관에 삽입한 것에서 이루어졌다. 마이크로파 전파방향, 방전관축, 외부자계는 각각 수직이고, 자속밀도, 방전유기, 기체압등이 증가할때 프라즈마를 전파하는 마이크로파의 감쇠 및 흡수는 증가함을 보았다.

Magneto-transport properties of CVD grown MoS2 lateral spin valves

  • We have investigated magneto-transport properties in a MoS2 lateral spin-valve structures for different ferromagnetic CoFe electrode shapes and MoS2 channel lengths. For these devices, high quality and large-scale MoS2 thin films were synthesized through sulfurization of epitaxial MoO3 films and these sulfurized-MoO3 thin films properties are in good agreements with measurements on exfoliated MoS2 film. Magneto-transport measurements show a clear rectangular magnetoresistance signal of 0.16% and a spin polarization of 0.00012%. By using the one-dimensional spin diffusion equation, we extracted the spin diffusion length and coefficient, finding them to be 12 nm and $1.44{\times}10-3cm2/s$, respectively. These small values of magnetoresistance and spin polarization could be enhanced by appeasement of conductivity mismatch between the ferromagnet and semiconductor interface.

압전섬유작동기를 이용한 형상적응날개 (Morphing wing using Macro Fiber Composite actuator)

  • Recently, research on the morphing wing is an interesting issue to develop the capability of the wing such as improving the lift and reduction of drag during the operation of an aircraft by changing the wing shape from one configuration to another. A more efficient weight reduction of the wing using smart or morphing wing concept can be achieved in comparison with the conventional flaps. In this study, it is investigated the behaviors of the morphing wing using Macro Fiber Composite (MFC) actuators. Generally, MFC is the piezocomposite actuator with the rectangular PZT fiber and epoxy matrix, and uses the interdigitated electrode to produce more powerful actuation in the in-plane direction. Furthermore, it can produce the twisting actuation as compared with the traditional PZT actuators. In the formulation, the first-order shear deformation plate theory is used, and finite element method is adopted in the numerical analysis of the model. Results show the characteristics of the static behavior of the morphing wing according to the change of the actuation voltage.

  • Optimization of the luminance, luminous efficiency, and address voltage margin characteristics has been made on the delta color array PDP with various hexagonal shape subpixels. The optimal subpixel and electrode designs are obtained for the 42-inch high-definition PDP ($1,366{\times}768$) with the fine pixel pitch less than 0.7 mm. The hexagonal delta array structure shows more improved characteristics than that of the normal delta array structure with rectangular shape subpixels.

  • 본 논문에서는 공동모델을 이용하여 직사각형의 패치를 가지는 마이크로 스트립형 유전체 세라믹 안테나의 최적구조를 설계하고, 그 결과를 바탕으로 900 MHz대 중심주파수를 가지는 시작품을 제작하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 기존의 헬리컬 안테나보다 성능과 무지향성이 우수한 유전체 세라믹 안테나를 개발하는 것 뿐만아니라, 안테나의 다양화에 유용한 도구로 사용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • To syudy the change of prtential in the mortar-embedded precorroded rebar, a half cell method was adapted. The rebar was corroded by the salt spray and then the rebar embedded in the mortar. A saturated copper sulfate feference electrode was used. The corrosion potential of the rebar in the mortar specimen cured in air was increased, whereas that of the rebar cured in water was decreased with aging. The corrosion potential of the rebar in the mortar was decreased with corroded time by the salt spray. As the mortar thickness covered the rebar was increased, the corrosion potential of the rebar in the mortar was increased.

  • Electrical impedance tomography (EIT) is a technique for determining the electrical conductivity and permittivity distribution within the interior of a body from measurements made on its surface. One recent application area of the EIT is the detection of breast cancer by imaging the conductivity and permittivity distribution inside the breast. The present "gold standard" for breast cancer detection is X-ray mammography, and it is desirable that EIT and X-ray mammography use the same geometry. This paper presents a forward model of a simplified mammography geometry for EIT imaging. The mammography geometry is modeled as a rectangular box with electrode arrays on the top and bottom planes. A forward model for the electrical impedance imaging problem is derived for a homogeneous conductivity distribution and Validated by experiment using a phantom tank.

  • In this paper, we investigate the characteristics of luminous efficacy as a function of Xe partial pressure in AC PDP. SDR structure has shown much larger increment of luminous efficacy compared with the conventional one especially below 10% Xe contents. The luminous efficacy around 4.0 lm/W is achieved with Ne-Xe10%, 400Torr in Monochrome green phosphor test panel under 10kHz continuous sustaining frequency.
