In this paper, a novel control scheme of three-phase PWM rectifiers using only dc-side sensors is proposed. The phase currents are reconstructed from switching states of the rectifier and the dc output current. For effective current control, the currents are estimated by a predictive state observer. Also, both the phase angle and the magnitude of the source voltage are estimated by controlling the deviation between the model current and the system current to be zero. The validity of the proposed ac phase and current sensorless technique has been verified by experimental results.
The Pressure-based Unstructured-grid Navier-Stokes Solver PUNS-2/3D for incompressible steady and unsteady viscous flows has been developed. It is based on nonstaggered cell-centered finite volume method. Second-order upwind scheme with least-square reconstruction is used for convective fluxes. The SIMPLE method is implemented to couple the pressure and velocity fields. And the time derivatives in the momentum equations are discretised using a second-order Euler backward-differencing scheme. The discretised linear equations are solved by the preconditioned Biconjugate Gradient Stabilized method(Bi-CGSTAB). The developed solver is applied to validation problems using hybrid meshes.

Two-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equations have been solved by the node-centered finite volume method with the unstructured triangular meshes. The pressure-velocity coupling is handled by the artificial compressibility algorithm due to its computational efficiency associated with the hyperbolic nature of the resulting equations. The convective fluxes are obtained by the Roe's flux difference splitting scheme using edge-based connectivities and higher-order differences are achieved by a reconstruction procedure. The time integration is based on an explicit four-stage Runge-Kutta scheme. Numerical procedures with local time stepping and implicit residual smoothing have been implemented to accelerate the convergence for the steady-state solutions. Comparisons with experimental data and other numerical results have proven accuracy and efficiency of the present unstructured approach.
Ghost imaging offers great potential, with respect to standard imaging, for imaging objects in optically harsh or noisy environments. It can solve the problems that are difficult to solve by conventional imaging techniques. Recently, it has become a hot topic in quantum optics. In this paper, we propose a scheme for ghost imaging based on rosette scanning, named rosette ghost imaging. Sampling a small area sampling instead of the whole object, the instantaneous field of view of rosette scanning is used as the modulation light field in ghost imaging. This scheme reduces energy loss, the number of samples, and the sampling time, while improving the quality of the reconstructed image.

This paper proposes a control method for three-phase PWM rectifier with only single current sensor in DC link side. A PWM modulation strategy for reconstructing three phase currents from the DC link current is given. The states of the retifier switch are modified so that all phase currents can be reconstructed in a switching period although one or two of active vectors is applied only for a short time. Therefore, a new current control using an adjustment scheme of the modulation signal for three-phase PWM rectifier will be discussed, and verified the experimental results.
This paper presents an efficient data acquisition scheme to obtain a minimum CPU memory, optimized communication speed, and simplified program source code in a monitoring system. It is different in the number of utilized data from the conventional method which acquires every raw data. The proposed method uses only restrictive data required to reconstruct the original signal. The basic principle is to apply the FFT-IFFT method in data transferring process. To verify the high-performance of the proposed scheme, computer-aided simulation and experiments using a PV power monitoring system are carried out. It also presents the analyzed results the relationship between FFT's order and Gibb's Phenomenon.

Privacy-preserving collaborative filtering schemes take privacy concerns into its primary consideration without neglecting the prediction accuracy. Different schemes are proposed that are built upon different data partitioning scenarios such as a central server, two-, multi-party or peer-to-peer network. These data partitioning scenarios have been investigated in terms of claimed privacy promises, recently. However, to the best of our knowledge, any peer-to-peer privacy-preserving scheme lacks such study that scrutinizes privacy promises. In this paper, we apply three different attack techniques by utilizing auxiliary information to derive private ratings of peers and conduct experiments by varying privacy protection parameters to evaluate to what extent peers' data can be reconstructed.

In this paper, a multicast mechanism is proposed for intermittently disconnected networks where the nodes move forward in formation or within a limited area. The proposed scheme extends the well-known tree-based multicast routing mechanism called MAODV by modifying the tree construction and data delivery scheme. Especially, an algorithm is introduced which determines the flooding hop count k estimating the degree of the movement of children in the tree. The performance evaluation was done by the simulation and the proposed scheme was compared with MAODV and two multicast routing schemes for DTN (Disruption Tolerant Network) including the Epidemic routing and ST-multicast. The evaluation results show that our scheme improves the original MAODV from the aspect of tree reconstruction events and message delivery ratio. Compared with the Epidemic routing scheme, our scheme achieves 85% message delivery ratio with less than 50% message delivery overhead.

A multiple description coding (MDC) scheme for 3-D Data is presented. First, a plane-based 3-D data is split into two descriptions, each of which has identical contribution in 3-D surface reconstruction. In order to maximize the visual quality of reconstructed 3-D data, then, plane parameters are modified according to channel error condition. Finally, these descriptions are compressed and transmitted over distinct channels. In decoder, if two descriptions are available, we reconstruct a high quality 3-D data. If only one description is transmitted, however, 3-D surface recovery scheme reduces artifacts on erroneous 3-D surface, yielding a smooth 3-D surface. Therefore, the proposed algorithm guarantees acceptable quality reconstruction of 3-D data even though one channel is totally lost.
A new multiresolutional scheme that reconstructs a polygonal mesh from the set of contours is presented. In the first step, we apply a radial gradient method to extract the contours on the sampled slices from a volume data. After classifying the types of the edges on the contours, we represent the contour using the context-free grammar. The polygons between two neighboring contours are generated through the traversal of the derivation trees of the context-free grammar. The polygonal surface of the coarsest resolution is refined through the refinement of the contours, which is executed by casting more rays on the slices. The topologies between the polygonal surfaces of various resolutions are maintained from the fact that the radial gradient method preserves the topologies of the contours of various resolutions. The proposed scheme provides efficient computation and compression methods for the tiling procedure with the feature preservation.
