FORECASTING THE COST AND DURATION OF SCHOOL RECONSTRUCTION PROJECTS USING REGRESSION ANALYSIS

  • This paper collected 132 schools reconstruction projects in central Taiwan, which received the most serious damage from the Chi-Chi Earthquake. Regression analysis was implemented to build the prediction model of the cost and the duration for the collected projects. It is found that the cubic regression models are capable for predicting the cost and the duration of the projects contracted by the central agency of which the contracting awarding approach was based on the most advantageous tendering (MAT) approach. On the other hand, power regression models are capable for predicting the cost and the duration of the projects contracted through the low bid tendering (LBT) approach. It is also found that the performance of the regression prediction model differs in accordance with organizations that contracted the reconstruction projects.

  • In connection with the plan for improving the residential environment gradually by analyzing the present condition of the reconstruction and parcel form of the housing area in a inner area, the main objective of this research is to develop a cooperative urban housing model based on the neighborhood agreement. The parcel form has a structure that is inappropriate for individual reconstruction; thus, the substantial improvement only through the residential environment improvement project has its limitations. As an alternative plan to resolve such limitations, I proposed a system that enables step-by-step reconstruction within the small-scaled blocks through the annexation of the land based on the neighborhood agreement. Nonetheless, I realized that it is difficult to apply such reconstruction system to individual housing. Therefore, I presented a design concept on the cooperative urban housing project as a residential form for the reconstruction inside blocks. A model plan vouches for its effectiveness. To apply substantially the cooperative urban housing plan based on the neighborhood agreement, we need to supplement the sectional plan system.

  • A new law, the Urban and Living Environment Improvement Act, was established, promulgated, and entered into by the Ministry of Construction and Transportation as of 1st July 2003. This system under this law, which improves currently executed consulting process and upgrade its level, is to execute the legal process and procedures that are necessarily required for housing reconstruction/renewal project.. This system requires to be supplemented with addition of reasonable, logical, and systemized tools of system. Through concurrent application of professional management of renewal business(PMRB), more benefit will be provided to housing renewal associations that are constituted with residences concerned for execution of CM project.

  • 아파트 재건축사업은 신축사업과 달리 재건축조합의 설립 등, 사업시행의 절차가 복잡하고, 개발사업의 타당성을 조사할 능력이 없는 비전문가들로 구성된 조합이 사업주체가 되어 자율적으로 추진하는 민간사업으로 재건축사업의 타당성을 분석하고 검증하는 객관적인 절차가 없는 상태에서 설계사, 시공사 등 많은 주체들이 참여함에 따라 각 주체별 이해관계가 복잡하게 얽혀있고 오해와 불신 비리와 분쟁 등 주민마찰의 온상이 되어왔다. 본 연구는 아파트 재건축사업 타당성조사 분석모델 개발을 위한 기초적인 연구로서 아파트 재건축사업의 특성을 분석하여 타당성분석절차와 각 수익 비용항목에 대한 산정기준을 제시하였다.

It is designed and constructed to draw out various problem factors and to find solutions to these problems. In the management of the construction management centered on the safety management and quality control of the technical aspect design, supervision, construction phase through the cause of the accident and improvement measures based on the investigation report of the collapse of the construction site near Sangdo Kindergarten in Seoul. Supervisor. And constructors should be settled on the responsibility and responsibility of God. In order to achieve the purpose of the project, a system is established to link worker-centered occupational safety and health management with technology-based safety construction management, and analysis of how the quality control of the earthquake prevention affects safety construction management The purpose of this study is to prepare the optimum management plan of construction business.As a result of this study, it is aimed to accomplish the purpose of small scale redevelopment and reconstruction construction project by providing optimization method in the stage of construction project management in order to prevent collapse caused by differences in design,Is expected.

1960년대 광화문 중건과정의 특성 (The Characteristics of Gwanghwamun reconstruction in the 1960's)

  • After the Korean war, two major attempts were made to reconstruct Gwanghwamun Gate as an important part of Korea's lost cultural heritage. In December 2006, the Korean government replaced the concrete gate with a wooden one, yet traces of the attempts made in the 1960s to transform Gwanghwamun Gate and the main road remain to this day. At the time, the Third Republic of Korea, sought to legitimize itself in the name of modernity, and went on to modernize the architecture and urban landscape of Seoul. The location and design selected for the rebuilt Gwanghwamun illustrated the symbolic relationship between historic heritage and urban development. The reconstruction of the gate began as part of the Third Republic's project to restore the Central Administration Building and culminated in the transformation of the main road in front of the gate. By reconstructing the traditional gate using concrete, the military government intended to convey the message that we could inherit our proud tradition using modern materials, and that we should actively adopt the new technologies of the modern era. This study begins with the premise that the Gwanghwamun reconstruction project of 1968 represents the application of new technological thinking to Korea's architectural style, and has two objectives. The first is to summarize the reconstruction process and method using the records and drawings from the 1968 project, which was then under the leadership of architect Kang Bong-jin. The second is to analyze the characteristics of the architectural style and structure of the reconstructed Gwanghwamun so as to reinterpret the relationship between Korean tradition and modern technology.

Automated Data Analysis of Floor Plans for the Remodeling of Apartment Housing

  • In 2020, it was estimated that more than 2.4 million households in South Korea are over 30 years old. That is, more than 40% of all houses in Korea are old and that they require proper rehabilitation. The two options to improve poor living conditions are reconstruction and remodeling. Compared to reconstruction, remodeling has advantages in terms of the construction period, cost, and environmental impact. As such, the current Korean regulations are more favorable for remodeling than reconstruction. Typically, several candidate floor plans are presented in the early stages of an apartment remodeling project. Extracting information about bearing walls and other structural elements from the multiple plans to compare those plans quantitatively is one of the essential tasks during the early stage of a project. To cope with this task, an automated data extraction method for walls and slabs from before and after remodeling plans is developed. Through the developed program, load-bearing walls, non-bearing walls, slabs, and weight changes after remodeling can be analyzed and visualized in a fast and automated manner.

  • 정비사업은 노후한 주택 단지를 철거하고 그 대지위에 새로운 주택을 건설하는 사업으로 대도시의 신규주택을 공급하는 주요 역할을 수행하여 왔으며 도시의 효율적인 재 창조의 필요성이 대두되면서 정비사업에 있어 새로운 패러다임이 요구되고 있다. 정비사업은 각 단계별로 전문지식을 요하는 절차로 이루어져 있으나 조합의 전문성 부족 및 주체간의 의견 대립으로 사업추진과정에서 많은 어려움을 직면하고 있다. 특히 부도덕한 조합의 각종 비리와 연관된 사고 및 시공사 위주의 사업진행으로 정비사업을 바라보는 외부의 시각은 매우 부정적인 것이 현실이다. 이에 도정법의 개념 및 정비사업의 현황을 살펴보고 건설사업관리를 적용하는 방안을 모색하여 본다. 본 연구를 통해 건설사업관리가 정비사업의 효율성을 제고하는데 일조하기를 기대한다.

Quantitative Measurements of 3-D Imaging with Computed Tomography using Human Skull Phantom

  • As an advancement of medical imaging modalities and analyzing software with multi-function, active researches to acquire high contrast and high resolution image being done. In recently, development of medical imaging modalities like as Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is aiming to display anatomical structure more accuracy and faster. Thus, one of the important areas in CT today is the use of CT scanner for the quantitative evaluation of 3-D reconstruction images from 2-D tomographic images. In CT system, the effective slice thickness and the quality of 3-D reconstructed image will be influenced by imaging acquisition parameters (e.g. pitch and scan mode). In diagnosis and surgical planning, the accurate distance measurements of 3-D anatomical structures play an important role and the accuracy of distance measurements will depend on the acquisition parameters such as slice thickness, pitch, and scan mode. The skull phantom was scanned with SDCT for various acquisition parameters and acquisition slice thicknesses were 3 and 5 mm, and reconstruction intervals were 1, 2, and 3 mm to each pitch. 3-D visualizations and distance measurements were performed with PC based 3-D rendering and analyzing software. Results showed that the image quality and the measurement accuracy of 3-D SDCT images are independent to the reconstruction intervals and pitches.
