  • We analyze IS0 9001 audit data and add-on requirements data collected by leader assessors from three leading Korean furniture companies for around three years. We plot a Pareto chart and test the homogeneities for the number of non-compliances and improvement notes across companies. We also fit the data to a loglinear model. Some recommendations with regard to add-on requirements are suggested. The recommendations should be added to IS0 9001 requirements to specifically implement an efficient QMS in Korean furniture industry.

  • The Korean government has constructed the national competency standards (NCS) rapidly since the year 2013. Also, it has pushed 2-year colleges to adopt NCS-based educational programs and public institutions to hire new employees by using NCS. It expects that NCS will deplete the mismatch between the requirements of employers and the abilities of employees. The purpose of this paper is to find correct accelerating policies for universities to adopt NCS-based educational programs. In order to achieve the purpose, primarily the government policies for NCS were analyzed by using causal map. And then, three accelerating policy recommendations for universities to adopt NCS were drawn by using the results of causal map analysis. The three recommendations are as follows. First, the quality of NCS should be kept highly. Secondly, the NCS-based hiring system of public institutions should also be standardized. Finally, the authorities of universities should be guaranted whenever they make educational programs.

  • This study focuses on making recommendations for the improvement of poor emergency medical services or EMS in Korea. Problems of the current EMS system is widely reviewed. As an alternative of the current system, a franchises system is introduced to EMS. A feasibility study of the new system is carried out as follows. 1) The current EMS system shows such problem as; - Inadequacy of emergency medical fee schedule, - Shortage of emergency medical resources, - Concentration of emergency medical facilities in metropolitan area, - Unestablishment of training program for emergency personnel, - Inappropriateness of patients' behvaviro pattern in emergency care system. 2) Recommendations for the improvement of EMS are as follows: - Well organized communication and transportation system needs to be established by utilizing all the availabl EMS is to be devised for the provision of appropriate emergency care. - A franchises system can be widly adopted so that private organizations are willing to establish a free standing emergency center. - Emergency care fee schedule of the franchises system needs to be appropriate for the system to provide high standard medical services.

  • Turkey has been hosted various civilizations throughout centuries and it has become one of the oldest settlements all over the world due to the geographical location. Therefore, it has accommodated innumerable historical structures remain from the past civilizations. Protection and conservation of these historical constructions should be the major points for continuity of history. Crooked minaret is one of between these historical invaluable structures. It is located at the city of Aksaray and it dates back approximately 800 years. The minaret has lost its vertical position in time and bends on the North-West direction. In this study, general information is given about minarets and some restoration recommendations are given for crooked minaret based on performed some finite element structural analyses. These analyses are considered into three cases; 1-Dead loading, 2-Wind loading, and 3-Earthquake loadings. Results from the analyses are discussed detailed and some useful recommendations are given in the end of the study.

  • Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) based precise positioning using Real Time Kinematic (RTK) technique has been proposed as an enabler of the formation operation of moving vehicles. In RTK methods, the integer ambiguity of GNSS carrier phase measurements must be resolved. Although there have been many proposed algorithms for the integer ambiguity resolution, the widelane combination of carrier phase measurements and LAMBDA methods have gained the most popularity in literatures when dual frequency GNSS measurements were used. In this paper, we evaluated five alternative methods to determine relative positions of moving base and rover receivers; the round-off scheme of widelane carrier phase, instant least-squares and Kalman filter-based LAMBDA with widelane carrier phase, instant least-squares and Kalman filter-based LAMBDA with dual frequency measurements. The paper presented the performance of each method using flight test data, which showed their strength and weakness in the aspects of time-to-first-fix, ambiguity resolution success ratio, and relative position errors. Based on that, we provided practical recommendations of RTK operations for moving vehicles.

  • Cybersecurity has been vital for decades and will remain vital with upcoming ages with new technological developments. Every new day brings advancement in technology, which leads to new horizons, and at the same time, it brings new security challenges. Numerous researchers around the globe are continuously striving hard to provide better solutions for the daily basis of new arising security issues. However, the challenges are always there. These challenges become new norms during the current Covid pandemic, where most industries, small industrial enterprises, education, finance, public sectors, etc. were under several attacks and threats globally. The hacker has more opportunities during the pandemic period by shifting most of the operations live. This research enlightened the several cybersecurity attacks and threats during this pandemic time globally. It provided the best possible recommendations to avoid them using the cyber awareness and with appropriately linked training. This research can provide a guideline to the above stated sector by identifying the related attacks.

  • The Institute of Medicine in its report "Clinical Practice Guidelines we can trust" defined standards for clinical practice guidelines. However, many guidelines continue to rely on expert opinion and lack a formal framework for moving from evidence to recommendations. These guidelines may or may not be labeled as "consensus statements" and do not meet contemporary standards for guideline documents we would refer to as "evidence-based". Therefore, the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation working group developed a novel, rigorous and transparent approach to grading certainty (quality) of evidence. In addition, it created a system for "moving from evidence to decisions", for example for the development of evidence-based guidelines. In this article, we aim to introduce this approach to appraising the certainty of relevant evidence and estimate the benefits and detriments of health care interventions within the larger context of evidence-based medicine.

  • The article formulates the key characteristics and features of country models of corporate governance. It was revealed that all countries are characterized by a fairly high concentration of ownership, insider control; Key gaps in the implementation of corporate governance principles were found: transparency and disclosure of information, protection of shareholders' rights, gender diversity of boards of directors, implementation of recommendations on the share of independent directors; The criterion of countries' efficiency (total investments) was identified and recommendations for their improvement were developed.

  • Psoriasis is a chronic disease that has no definitive cure. In this review study, the main sources of Persian Medicine (PM) such as the Canon of Medicine (by Avicenna) and Al-Havi (by Rhazes) were assessed to identify non-pharmacological treatments for psoriasis. Several treatments that are recommended for this disease include nutritional advice, lifestyle modifications, and manipulation therapy such as wet cupping (Hijamah), leech therapy, and phlebotomy (Fasd). These recommendations may help to prevent recurrence and be useful in improving psoriasis. The efficacy of PM recommendations to improve psoriasis should be evaluated in future studies.
