We should measure receiver tracking threshold and command threshold of the
satellite in Integrate System Test (IST) in order to check the normal received power
range of LEO(Low Earth Orbit) satellite S-band receiver. In this paper, the algorithm of
threshold measurement is examined and the result measured in Integrated System Test
is displayed. And than, the factor could have an effect on the result of threshold
measurement except the capability of receiver itself was analyzed and compensated as
many as distorted value according to that analysis.
In this paper, an input receiver with a hysteresis characteristic that can work at voltage levels between 0.9 V and 5 V is proposed. The input receiver can be used as a wide voltage range Schmitt trigger also. At the same time, reliable circuit operation is ensured. According to the research findings, this is the first time a wide voltage range Schmitt trigger is being reported. The proposed circuit is compared with previously reported input receivers, and it is shown that the circuit has better noise immunity. The proposed input receiver ends the need for a separate Schmitt trigger and input buffer. The frequency of operation is also higher than that of the previously reported receiver. The circuit is simulated using HSPICE at 0.35-${\mu}m$ standard thin oxide technology. Monte Carlo analysis is conducted at different process conditions, showing that the proposed circuit works well for different process conditions at different voltage levels of operation. A noise impulse of ($V_{CC}/2$) magnitude is added to the input voltage to show that the receiver receives the correct logic level even in the presence of noise. Here, $V_{CC}$ is the fixed voltage supply of 3.3 V.

This letter presents a compact 2.5 Gb/s burst-mode receiver using the first reported monolithic amplifier IC developed with 0.25 ${\mu}m$ SiGe BiCMOS technology. With optimum avalanche photodiode gain, the receiver module can obtain a fast response, high sensitivity and wide dynamic range, satisfying the overhead timing and various power specifications for a 2.5 Gb/s next-generation passive optical network (PON), as well as a legacy 1.25 Gb/s PON in the upstream.
In the future, it is necessary that using the Satellite-based radio navigation augmentation system such as Differential Global Positioning System(DGPS) to achieve a position accuracy of sub-meter level in port. Generally, the receiver for DGPS reference station should meet performance specifications of RSIM Ver. 1.1 presented by RTCM. This paper proposes a method to verify performance of the receiver for DGPS reference station according to the RSIM Ver. 1.1. And this paper presented that performance evaluation of the commercial receiver for DGPS reference station through the proposed method is satisfied with RSIM Ver. 1.1.

The heat transfer characteristics of a solar high-temperature receiver with heat pipes was investigated by numerical simulation. The concentration ratio of the solar receiver ranges 1000 and the concentrated heat is required to be transported to a certain distance for specific applications. This study deals with internal geometry variation of a solar receiver incorporating high-temperature heat pipe. The isothermal characteristics in the receiver section is of major concern. The diameter of the solar thermal receiver was 120 mm and the length was 400 mm. The angle of receiver end wall was varied between $0^{\circ}$ and $45^{\circ}$. The wall thickness of the heat pipe channel was 4mm and 48 axial channels of the same dimensions were attached to the outer wall of the receiver with even spacing in the circumferential direction. The channels are changed to high-temperature sodium heat pipes. Commercial softwares were employed to deal with the radiative heat transfer inside the receiver cavity and the conduction heat transfer along the channels. The numerical results are compared and analyzed from the view Point of high-temperature solar receiver.

The radiative heat loss from a receiver of a dish solar collector is numerically investigated. The dish solar collector considered in this paper consists of a receiver and multi-faceted mirrors. In order to investigate the performance comparison of dish solar collectors, six different mirror arrays and four different receivers are considered. A parabolic- shaped perfect mirror of which diameter is 1.40 m is considered as the reference for the mirror arrays. The other mirror arrays which consist of twelve identical parabolic-shaped mirror facets of which diameter are 0.405 m are suggested for comparison. Their reflecting areas, which are 1.545 $m^{2}$, are the same. Four different receiver shapes are a conical, a dome, a cylindrical, and a unicorn type. The radiative properties of the mirror surfaces and the receiver surfaces may vary the thermal performance of the dish solar collector so that various surface properties are considered. In order to calculate the radiative heat loss in the receiver, two kinds of methods are used. The Net Radiation Method that is based on the radiation heat balance on the surface is used to calculate the radiation heat transfer rate from the inside surface of the receiver to the environment. The Monte-Carlo Method that is the statistical approach is adopted to predict the radiation heat transfer rate from the reflector to the receiver. The collector efficiency is defined as the results of the optical efficiency and the receiver efficiency. Based on the calculation, the unicorn type has the best performance in receiver shapes and the STAR has the best performance in mirror arrays except the perfect mirror.
In this study, S-Band receiver for low orbit satellite is implemented. The developed receiver is double super-heterodyne type and STDN compatible. Input/output frequency of receiver is 2034.747MHz and 18.414MHz used for KOMPSAT 2 satellite. Overall gain(@AGC=0V) and image rejection were 92.4dB and 50.2dB respectively. It was verified that receiver has stable performance to the temperature limit, power supply voltage variation and input signal level range.

The thermal performance of the air receiver filled with porous material for 5kWt dish solar collector installed in Inha University, Korea, is experimentally investigated. The diameter of the parabolic dish is 3.2 m, and its focal length is 2 m. It consists of 10 small pieces of glasses which have their own curvatures, and the effective reflecting area is 5.9 m2. The reflectivity of the glass is 0.95, and the thermal capacity of the system is about 5 kW thermal. The aperture diameter of the cylindrical-shape receiver which is made of stainless steel is 100 mm, and the height is 210 mm. A quartz window is installed at the receiver aperture to minimize the convective heat loss and prevent air leakages. In order to increase the heat transfer area, porous material (nickel-alloy) is inserted into the receiver. Air flows into the upper part of the receiver, which is the opposite side of the aperture. After the air flows through the inside receiver, that goes out of the receiver through 3 exits which are located near the aperture. The volumetric flow rates of air are varied from 600 to 1200 L/min. The thermal efficiency of the receiver ranges from 82% - 92% depending upon the flow rate. The results show that the system efficiency and receiver efficiency increase as the volume flow rate increases as expected. These results from the experiment will be useful for the applications to air heating receivers and solar reactors.

In this paper, a 2-dimensional phase comparison direction finding receiver was designed and fabricated. For 2-D comparison direction finding, direction finding formulas were derived from a uniformly arranged of four antennas. Based on this, a direction finding receiver was designed using Matlab simulink, and the direction finding receiver was fabricated. To analyze the performance of the designed direction finding receiver, the injection direction finding accuracy and simulation results were compared. As a result of the test, the fabricated direction finding receiver showed a maximum of 3° RMS precision, and the result of both tests showed similar trends. Also, it was confirmed that the direction finding accuracy of elevation angle is about 2.7 times better than azimuth angle, and both models performed well within 0.7° RMS at the boresight.

At the present time the task of designing a highly integrated ZigBee radio frequency (RF) receiver with an excellent coexistence performance is still very demanding and challenging. This paper presents a number of system issues and design considerations for a ZigBee RF receiver, namely IEEE 802.15.4, for coexistence with wireless devices in the 2.4-GHz ISM-band. With regard to IEEE 802.15.4, the paper analyzes receiver performance requirements for; system noise figure (NF), system third-order intercept point (system-IIP3), local oscillator phase noise and selectivity. Based on some assumptions, the paper illustrates the relationship between minimum detectable signal (MDS) and various situations that involve the effects of electromagnetic interference generated by other wireless devices. We infer the necessity of much more stringent specification requirements than the published standard for various wireless communication field environments
