  • In this paper, we present a frequency reassignment problem (FRP) that arises when we install new base stations or reconfigure radio networks to increase the capacity or to expand service area. For this problem, we develop an integer programming (IP) model, and develop cutting planes to enhance the mathematical representation of the model. Also, we devise an effective tabu search algorithm to obtain tight upper bounds within reasonable time bounds. Computational results exhibit that the developed cutting planes are effective for reducing the computing time as well as for increasing lower bounds. Also, the proposed tabu search algorithm finds a feasible solution of good quality within reasonable time bound.

온산 항만 시스템에서 조류와 수질 변화 시뮬레이션 (Simulation of Tidal Flow and Water Quality in Onsan Harbor System)

  • Tidal flow and water quality were simulated in this paper to assess environmental impact caused by pier construction projects in Onsan harbor system. The Surfacewater Modeling System (SMS) was applied to the Onsan harbor system, where coastal reclamation and dredging were planned to build the piers. A finite element mesh was constructed and refined to cover the complicated geometry of the Onsan harbor and the proposed reclamation area. The time variable change of tidal height at harbor inlet was given as an input condition to tidal simulation. The water quality simulation was based on the discharge rate of suspended solids at the reclamation area. The simulation results have shown reasonable agreements with real situations in both tidal flow and water quality. According to the proposed plan, tidal flow and water quality were predicted during and after the pier construction. The tidal simulation study showed that there would be no discernible change of tidal current in the harbor except for the dredged area. The water quality simulation, however, predicted that suspended solids would increase significantly near the reclaimed and dredged areas during construction.

추계학적 비선형 모형을 이용한 달천의 실시간 수질예측 (Real Time Water Quality Forecasting at Dalchun Using Nonlinear Stochastic Model)

  • Considering pollution source is transferred by discharge, it is very important to analyze the correlation between discharge and water quality. And temperature also influent to the water quality. In this paper, it is used water quality data that was measured DO (Dissolved Oxygen), TOC (Total Organic Carbon), TN (Total Nitrogen), TP (Total Phosphorus) at Dalchun real time monitoring stations in Namhan river. These characteristics were analyzed with the water quality of rainy and nonrainy periods. Input data of the water quality forecasting models that they were constructed by neural network and neuro-fuzzy was chosen as the reasonable data, and water quality forecasting models were applied. LMNN (Levenberg-Marquardt Neural Network), MDNN (MoDular Neural Network), and ANFIS (Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System) models have achieved the highest overall accuracy of TOC data. LMNN and MDNN model which are applied for DO, TN, TP forecasting shows better results than ANFIS. MDNN model shows the lowest estimation error when using daily time, which is qualitative data trained with quantitative data. If some data has periodical properties, it seems effective using qualitative data to forecast.

품(品)과 질(質)의 연원(淵源)을 통해 살펴본 현대품질경영의 의미 (A Study on the Meaning of Modern Quality Management from the Etymological Perspective of the word PumJil (品質))

  • Purpose: In order to use a word as academic terminology, we must first take a look at the meaning of that word as it is commonly used and then consider whether or not the connotation of that word is suitable to be used as academic terminology. Presently, the word Pumjil(品質) is being used as academic terminology occupying an important position in the field of business administration in Korea and is usually translated into English as 'quality'. The same is true in Japan. However, as is the case with many Korean words, the meaning that the word implies has a tendency to change gradually over time. This tendency can account for the changes or additions to the meaning a word connotes. Methods: This dissertation aims to escape from such biased ideas and study the meaning of 'Pum-Jil品質' from the view of humanities and exegetics. Then the natural definition of the word as far as business administration is concerned can be considered. Results: 'Pum-Jil品質' has been used amid changes in modern times(historic texts in both Korea and China. In Korea particularly, the word was used in the royal court until comparatively modern times.), and now it is also widely used in the field of business administration. In this process of change, a notable point is that 'Pum-Jil品質', which was originally used to mean 'nature or character of a man', took on a new meaning, 'a certain quality of a thing or a good'. Conclusion: 'Pum-Jil品質' should require basic functional 'quality' of goods or services as a prerequisite. And the functional quality should meet consumers' needs, as the pledge (trust; 信賴) for quality is between suppliers and consumers. Without consumer's trust for goods, the relationship between suppliers and consumers cannot be maintained. So goods must exchange with trust, not expenses. In conclusion, we believe it is reasonable to understand 'Pum-Jil品質' based on the meaning of 'evidence or similar rating for pledge (trust)' from the view of humanities and exegetics. 소형 시뮬레이터를 이용한 차량거동요소별 승차감 민감도 평가 (Evaluation of Ride Quality Sensitivity on Vehicle Dynamic Behavior Using a Small Scale Simulator)

  • PURPOSES: This study aims to evaluate the effects of vehicle dynamic behaviors on ride quality. METHODS : Simulation and field test were conducted to analyze the behavior of a driving vehicle. The simulation program CarSIM was applied and an INS (Inertial Navigation System) was used for field experiments. A small simulator was developed to simulate vehicle behavior such as roll, pitch, and bounce. The panels evaluated the ride quality in five stages from "very satisfied"to "very dissatisfied."Experiments were conducted on a total of 144 cases of vehicle behavior combinations. RESULTS :In both simulation and field tests, pitch is the largest and yaw the smallest. Especially in the field test, the amount of yaw is very low, about 7% of pitch and 18% of roll. The sensitive and extensive analysis conducted related ride quality with changing the frequency and amplitude. It was found that the most sensitive frequency range is 8 Hz across all amplitudes. Moreover, the combination of the roll and bounce was most sensitive to the ride quality at the low-frequency range. CONCLUSIONS : This result show that the vertical vehicle behavior (bounce) as well as the rotational behavior (roll and pitch) are highly correlated with ride quality. Therefore, it is expected that a more reasonable roughness index can be developed through a combination of vertical and rotational vehicle behavior.

승용차 디젤 엔진 소음에 대한 음질 평가 기법 연구 (Study on the Sound Quality Evaluation Method for the Vehicle Diesel Engine Noise)

  • The brand sound of vehicle diesel engine is recently one of the important advantage strategies in the automotive company. Because various noise components masked under high frequency level can be audible in quieter driving situation. Many researches have been carried out for subjective and objective assessments on vehicle sounds and noises. In particular, the interior sound quality has been one of research fields that can give high quality feature to vehicle products. Vehicle interior noise above 500 Hz is usually controlled by sound package parts. The materials and geometries of sound package parts directly affect on this high frequency noise. This paper describes the sound quality evaluation method for the vehicle diesel engine noise to establish objective criteria for sound quality assessment. Considering the sensitivity of human hearing to impulsive sounds such as diesel noise, the human auditory mechanism was simulated by introducing temporal masking in the time domain. Furthermore, each of the human auditory organs was simulated by computer codes, providing reasonable analytical explanations of typical human hearing responses to diesel noise. This method finally provides the sound quality index of vehicle diesel engine noise that includes high frequency intermittent offensive sounds caused by impacting excitations of combustion and piston slap.

비행안전을 고려한 조종사 개인별 자질관리(IPQC)제도의 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on Improvement of the Individual Pilot Quality Control System for Flight Safety)

  • IPQC system was introduced for the flight safety at the age of scientific safety management in the 1980s. In spite of performing this system, aircraft accidents caused by human factors, which were above 70% among all flight accident factors, have not been reduced. Accordingly, throughout this paper I analyzed the aircraft accident factors by means of a literature study and a pilot survey. Then, based on the notion of TQC(Total Quality Control), I hierarchically classified Individual Quality into Capacity Management, Safety Management, and General Management and did the low-ranked management factors as well. AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process), one of the scientific management methods, was used for estimating the relative importance of Individual Quality Control factors and the heavy aircraft accident causes over the last 20 years were analyzed according to the flight ranks. Based on the comparative analysis of results derived above, an IPQC model as flight ranks is established. In short, according to this newly suggested model we can obtain the maximum flight safety with the preventive actions against aircraft accidents caused by human factors and by improving the operation effect under the reasonable pilot management.

Factors Affecting Quality of Internal Control: A Case Study of Listed Banks in Vietnam

  • Internal control is important for monitoring operations of organizations. In order to achieve the quality of internal control, organizations need to recognize different perspectives in which the components of internal control play a decisive role. Internal control is a process designed by the manager and it is applied within the organization to provide reasonable assurance of the reliability of financial information and to comply with policies, procedures, rules, regulations and laws. The article uses the ordinary least squares method and the seven-point Likert scale to test the variables affecting the quality of internal control in 18 Vietnamese listed banks. The article surveyed 179 leaders of listed banks. The results show that there are three variables out of a total of five variables that positively affect the quality of internal control, including the control environment, control activities, and monitoring. Accordingly, the managers of Vietnamese listed banks need to pay attention to building a corporate culture environment, improve the quality of control activities, and periodically and regularly conduct the monitoring. It contributes to improving the quality of internal control and is also an opportunity to increase economic benefits for Vietnamese listed banks in the context of international economic integration.

콘크리트 도로 포장의 품질 관리 및 보증을 위한 지불규정 개발 기법 (Methodologies to Develop Payment Adjustment Regulations for Quality Control and Assurance of Concrete Pavements)

  • 본 연구는 콘크리트 도로 포장의 고품질을 확보하기 위한 방안으로 지불규정을 개발하는 과정의 일환으로 수행되었으며 지불규정 적용을 위한 합리적인 품질측정방법의 개발 방안을 모색하고 품질에 따라 지불계수를 결정하는 기법을 개발하는 것이 목적이다. 우선 콘크리트 포장의 지불규정 인자인 슬래브 두께에 대하여 통계적인 기법을 이용하여 측정 자료를 분석함으로써 측정자에 따른 읽음오차를 감안하여 지불규정의 기준에 대한 허용오차를 결정하는 방법을 제시하였으며 두께 측정 시 측정 간격 및 위치 등의 측정빈도를 결정하는 방법도 제시하였다. 또한 지불계수를 합리적으로 결정하는 방법을 제시하기 위하여 슬래브 두께와 콘크리트 철강도 등의 지불규정 인자에 대하여 미국에서 사용하고 있는 PWL 방법을 이용한 지불계수를 산정하여 정규분포와 t분포를 이용하여 구한 지불계수와 비교분석함으로써 국내에 적용하기 적절한 지불계수를 산정하는 방안을 제시하였다.

외식프랜차이즈의 서비스 가치가 인지적 태도, 정서적 태도, 그리고 충성도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Service Value on Attitude, and Loyalty in Food-Service Franchise)

  • Purpose - The recent franchise industry is rapidly developing. Some franchisees have a low barriers to entry and competition among companies is intensifying. In this dynamic competitive environment, companies need to focus on customer preferences, quality, and technical interfaces to gain competitive advantage. As a result, companies are required to measure the performance of service values in order to provide differentiated services from competitors. In the franchise industry, customer experience marketing of service values will enable companies to create new businesses. Franchise firms should explore a variety of services to increase service value and reduce failures. Research design, data, methodology - The questionnaire of this study was based on the previous research. Surveys were conducted on panels of online surveys. Surveys were conducted on the panel who had visited the restaurant franchise within the past month. The survey was conducted for about 7 days from February 13, 2019 to February 19, 2019. Total 300 samples, 293 were used in the analysis except for seven unfair questionnaires. Results - The findings of this study are as follows: Emotional, monetary, and reputation values have positive effects on cognitive and affective attitudes. Quality value and behavioral value did not effect cognitive attitude and affective attitude significantly. In addition, affective attitude has positive effect on loyalty, but cognitive attitude did not significant effect on loyalty. Conclusions - First, food-service franchise company should develop a service that enables customers to use the store conveniently. We need to develop a comfortable environment for our customers and provide intangible services. Second, food-service franchise company should provide a reasonable price service. Food-service franchise company needs to sell a high quality menu at a reasonable price to generate profits. Third, food-service franchise companies need to strategically respond to their reputation. In other words, food-service franchise company needs to constantly monitor the reputation of its customers and respond appropriately to market conditions. Fourth, food-service franchise company needs to develop a service method capable of emotional interaction with customers. Food-service franchise firms need to develop ongoing service methods and educate their staff.
