유비쿼터스 서비스 모델 분류 (The Classification of Ubiquitous Service Model)

  • Ubiquitous computing which is providing various convenient services to user will prevail in future. To realize ubiquitous service, analyzing technical and information factors for service implementation is necessary. This paper defines ubiquitous service model to satisfy user demands and we analyze technical and information factors in order to realize services. Based on the factors, we extracts and classifies common compositions of ubiquitous services to suggest guidelines of service design.

  • 유비쿼터스 이동통신의 실현을 위해서는 사용자가 의식하지 않고도 통신 서비스를 제공받는 환경의 구축이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 이를 위한 이동통신 환경 구축 알고리즘을 제안한다. LBS(Location Based Service) 기술을 이용 이동통신 단말기의 서비스 기능 환경을 자동적으로 인지하고, 이동통신 환경에 따른 다양한 사용자의 요청 및 환경에 대한 지속적인 상호 연동을 통한 서비스 제공으로 사용자의 편의를 극대화 하는데 그 목적이 있다. 알고리즘 구현을 위하여 MSC에 이동통신 환경 구축 파라메터에 따라 이동통신 환경을 결정하는 알고리즘을 제안하였으며 이를 C코드로 구현하였다.

  • This article introduces developing trends of an 'Ubiquitous Interface' as an access method for use of various network resources, such as public wireless networks and un-licensed wireless networks in ubiquitous sensor network environments, without troublesome settings or operations by users. 'Ubiquitous Interface' is a relatively wide sense meaning not only physical interface of specified device or between processors, but anything method for access USN. These 'Ubiquitous Interface' able to provide seamless services that adapt autonomously to the user's movements and changes in the state of wireless resources. Recently, strongly recommended current technologies are RFID, NFC, Multi-mode mobile terminal, UMA mobile terminal and Wearable computer as a future ubiquitous interface. These technologies are have to have flexibility and multiple physical communication channels for seamless service hand over and serve easy connection at huge USN to user. Also, they have to must have flexible software structure. Finally, through the 'Ubiquitous Interface', we will be experience of seamless communication and realize a real liberty of communication.

  • The business in the Ubiquitous era has to be developed by combing a traditional marketing concept with a new concept system on Chip. The objective of this paper is researching on the attention or interest, understanding, positive effects, etc., for Ubiquitous Computing to realize u-Korea and u-Business. The paper result which is the stepwise developing scheme of u-Business could be useful in the policy, publicity and education, strategic implementation of the Ubiquitous Computing. And the proposed new services for u-Commerce can be applied to new business model of future IT industry. Actually, the awareness and understanding about Ubiquitous are low, But, We can't overemphasize the value of Ubiquitous. First of all, The publicity and education about It's may have to be emphasized.

  • With the advancement of the industry such as information technology, residential facilities has been consistently achieved high standard. Ubiquitous system has been introduced in apartments nowadays, and it will be general facilities in the near future. However elderly people is not generally accustomed to ubiquitous or internet environment, so degree of ubiquitous system usage is able to be less than young people. This study aims to grasp the relative importance of ubiquitous environment, and offer materials to realize residential environment's improvement of silver towns under investigation through a questionnaire survey. Skin recognition system was most preferred among various functions. Energy management system, protection system of solitude elderly person and security system by CCTV was also preferred at a high rate. Housework part such as cooking aid, height control of sink and basin etc., was not less important system relatively.

M2M Architecture: Can It Realize Ubiquitous Computing in Daily life?

  • Ubiquitous computing called pervasive one is based on the thought of pervading ability of computation in daily life applications. In other words, it aims to include computation in devices such as electronic equipment and automobiles. This has led to disengagement of computers from desktop form. Accordingly, the notice in ubiquitous computing being taken of a world steeped in remote and wireless computer-based-services. Handheld and wearable programmed devices such as sense and control appliances are such devices. This advancement is rapidly moving domestic tasks and life from device-and-human communication to the device-and-device model. This model called Machine to Machine (M2M) has led to acceleration of developments in sciences such as nano-science, bio-science, and information science. As a result, M2M led to appearance of applications in various fields such as, environment monitoring, agricultural, health care, logistics, and business. Since it is envisaged that M2M communications will play a big role in the future in all wireless applications and will be emerged as a progressive linkage for next-generation communications, this paper aims to consider how much M2M architectures can realize ubiquitous computing in daily life applications. This is carried out after acquainting and initiating readers with M2M architectures and arguments for M2M. Some of the applications was not achievable before but are becoming viable owing to emergence of M2M communications.

패션으로 만나는 컴퓨터 (Wearable Computer)

  • The concept of wearable computer says to be able to connect to network freely without restrict of place and time through the garment that contain the wire and circuit. Thereby we can realize the ubiquitous circumstances. Wearable computer plays a role of center in controlling the electronic equipments under the ubiquitous circumstances and also it will become the main stream of the future computer development. The current wearable computer displays ugly appearance by attaching the parts of computer on the garment instead of installing them in the box. However, as size of computer components are minimized and it's speed is getting faster, it is certain that wearable computer will evolve as fashionable computer, still retaining garment's original purpose such as fitting and fasion even though the computer is being installed to the clothing. This study reviewed about components, future market share, developed goods, human-being becoming cyborg, application area, restrict and on-going research of wearable computer.

  • 본 논문에서는 21세기 지식기반의 정보화사회를 구현하기위한 한가지 방방에 대해 논의하였다. 제안한 방법은 디지털정보를 멀티미디어 형식의 정보로 내장시키고 이를 RFID/USN과 연동하여 유비쿼터스 시스템을 구현함을 보였다. 제안한 방법이 구현된다면 지금까지와는 다른 새로운 인간생활의 패러다임을 가져올 것으로 기대된다.

  • 본 논문에서는 송탄이 미래 u-City로서의 모습을 갖추기 위해 현 시점에서 가장 시급히 수행하여야 할 네 가지 비즈니스 모델(u-Tour, u-ITS, u-유통, B2B(business to business))을 제안한다. 이를 위하여 유비쿼터스 도시에서의 주요 비즈니스를 분석하고 송탄에서의 주요 산업인 관광산업, 산업단지 및 재래시장의 비즈니스 현황을 분석하며 문제점을 진단하고 이로부터 관광특구 지역 및 상가/재래시장 활성화, 수입증대, 고부가가치 산업 창출, 자급 자족의 도시 구현 등의 효과를 이룰 수 있는 주요 비즈니스 개발 전략과 함께 송탄 도시 구성원들, 즉 지자체, 시민, 산학연 협의체의 u-City 추진 방안을 제안한다.
