Hewitt Realcompactification and Basically Disconnected Cover

  • We show that if the Stone-Cech compactification of $\textit{AX}$ and the minimal basically disconnected cove. of $\beta$Χ we homeomorphic and every real $\sigma$$Z(X)^#$-ultrafilter on X has the countable intersection property, then there is a covering map from $\nu$(ΛΧ) to $\nu$Χ and every real $\sigma$$Z(X)^#$-ultrafilter on Χ has the countable intersection property if and only if there is a homeomorphism from the Hewitt realcompactification of ΛΧ to the minimal basically disconnected space of $\nu$Χ.

  • The concept of pseudoLindelof spaces is introduced. It is shown that the followings are equivalent: (a) for any two disjoint zero-sets in X, at least one of them is Lindelof, (b) $\mid$vX{\;}-{\;}X$\mid${\leq}{\;}1$, and (c) for any space T with $X{\;}{\subseteq}{\;}T$, there is an embedding $f{\;}:{\;}vX{\;}{\rightarrow}{\;}vT$ such that f(x) = x for all $x{\;}{\in}{\;}X$ and that if $X{\;}{\times}{\;}Y$ is a z-embedded pseudoLindelof subspace of $vX{\;}{\times}{\;}vY,{\;}then{\;}v(X{\;}{\times}{\;}Y){\;}={\;}vX{\;}{\times}{\;}vY$.

  • Observing that a realcompactification Y of a space X is Wallman if and only if for any non-empty zero-set Z in Y, $Z{\cap}Y{\neq}{\emptyset}$, we will show that for any pseudo-Lindel$\ddot{o}$f space X, the minimal quasi-F $QF({\upsilon}X)$ of ${\upsilon}X$ is Wallman and that if X is weakly Lindel$\ddot{o}$, then $QF({\upsilon}X)={\upsilon}QF(X)$.

  • We show that if X is a space such that ${\beta}QF(X)=QF({\beta}X)$ and each stable $Z(X)^{\sharp}$-ultrafilter has the countable intersection property, then there is a homeomorphism $h_X:vQF(X){\rightarrow}QF(vX)$ with $r_X={\Phi}_{vX}{\circ}h_X$. Moreover, if ${\beta}QF(X)=QF({\beta}X)$ and $vE(X)=E(vX)$ or $v{\Lambda}(X)={\Lambda}(vX)$, then $vQF(X)=QF(vX)$.

  • In this paper, we construct an extension ($kX$, $k_X$) of a space X such that $kX$ is a weakly Lindel$\ddot{o}$ff space and for any continuous map $f:X{\rightarrow}Y$, there is a continuous map $g:kX{\rightarrow}kY$ such that $g|x=f$. Moreover, we show that ${\upsilon}X$ is Lindel$\ddot{o}$ff if and only if $kX={\upsilon}X$ and that for any P'-space X which is weakly Lindel$\ddot{o}$ff, $kX={\upsilon}X$.

  • ($\alpha$$_{x}$, $\alpha$X)와 ($\alpha$$_{Y}$ , $\alpha$Y)를 T$_2$ 공간 X와 Y의 Alexandroff base Compactification이라 할 때 $\alpha$fㆍ$\alpha$$_{x}$=$\alpha$$_{Y}$ f를 만족하는 open이고 연속인 함수 $\alpha$f:$\alpha$X$\longrightarrow$$\alpha$Y가 존재하는 연속함수 f:X$\longrightarrow$Y는 유일한 $\alpha$-extension $\alpha$f를 가지며 Category ABC를 T$_2$ 공간과 위와 같은 연속함수 f들의 Category라고 할 때 open이고 연속인 함수와 Compact space들의 Category는 Category ABC의 epireflective subcategory임을 밝혔다.
