Direction Prediction Based Resource Reservation in Mobile Communication Networks for Telematics (텔레매틱스를 위한 이동통신망에서 이동 방향 추정에 근거한 자원 예약)

  • IF handoff events are occurred during the transmission of multimedia traffic, the efficient resource allocation and handoff procedures are necessary to maintain the same QoS of transmitted multimedia traffic because the QoS may be defected by some delay and information loss, This paper proposes a handoff scheme to accommodate multimedia traffic based on the resource reservation procedure using direction estimation, This scheme uses a novel mobile tracking method based on Fuzzy Multi Criteria Decision Making, in which uncertain parameters such as PSS (Pilot Signal Strength), the distance between the mobile and the base station, the moving direction, and the previous location are used in the decision process using the aggregation function in fuzzy set theory, With the position information, the moving direction is determined, The handoff requests for real time sessions are handled based on the direction prediction and the resource reservation scheme, The resources in the estimated adjacent cells should be reserved and allocated to guarantee the continuity of the real time sessions, Through simulation results, we show that our proposed resource reservation method provides a better performance than that of the conventional method.

  • Spatial phenomena such as environment pollution, disease and the risk of spreading information need a rapid initial response to perceive spread event. Moving data perceive spread event through real-time processing and analysis. To process and analysis the event, spatial-temporal complex event processing is used. Previous spatialtemporal complex event processing is possible basis spatial operator but insufficient apply to design spatialtemporal complex event processing to perceive spatial phenomena of high complexity. This study proposed hierarchical spatio-temporal CEP design which will efficiently manage the fast growing incoming sensor data. The implementation of the proposed design is evaluated with GPS location data of moving vehicles which are used as the incoming data stream for identifying spatial events. The spatial component of existing CEP software engine has been extended during the implementation phase to broaden the capabilities of processing spatio-temporal events.

  • There are two major problems with current National GAP system. One was false in traceability record because it was written or inputted by farmers or distributers and no other measures to check the accuracy was valid. The other was incapability of tracking back and recalling the contaminated agricultural products. For solving these matters, IT convergence model which combined information technology with agricultural experience is elaborated. In IT convergence model, video analytic system classifies every activity depending on the pre-programmed farming process and create the traceability data automatically. Also real time trace system based on USN would solve the problem of tracking back. This system transmits the present location and monitors data of agricultural products from farm to table at all times.

  • This paper is based on the ubiquitous network of telematics technology, equipped with a black box to the car by a unique address given to IPv6. The driver's black box at startup and operation of certification, and the car's driving record handling video signals in real-time sensor signals handling to analyze the records. Through the recorded data is encrypted transmission, and the Ubiquitous network of base stations, roadside sensors through seamless mobility and location tracking data to be generated. This is a file of Transportation Traffic Operations Center as a unique address IPv6 records stored in the database. The car is equipped with a black box used on the road go to Criminal cases, the code automotive black boxes recovered from the addresses and IPv6, traffic records stored in a database to compare the data integrity verification and authentication via secure. This material liability in the courtroom and the judge Forensic data are evidence of the recognition as a highly secure. convenient and knowledge in the information society will contribute to human life.

  • Currently, a traffic monitoring service using a surveillance camera is provided through internet. In general, if the user points a certain location on a map, then this service shows the real-time image of the camera where it is mounted. In this paper, we proposed the intuitive surveillance monitoring system which displays a real-time camera image on the map by warping with bird's-eye view and with the top of image as the north. In order to robustly estimate the road plane using camera image, we used the motion vectors which can be detected to changes in brightness. We applied a re-adjustment process to have the same directivity with a map and presented a user-friendly interface that can be displayed on the map. In the experiment, the proposed method was presented as the result of warping image that the user can easily perceive like a map.

  • P-type fire control panel, currently in use, has a big hazard that can cause the large scaled human death tolls and property damage in the massive fire because it is difficult to identify in real time the location of fire outbreak and whether search-device are broken down or not. In this paper, I suggest that the integrated fire automation system on based p-type fire control panel should be used, which can detect in real time the signal that occur when whether search-device are broken down or not, and can detect the arisen circumstances information of p-type fire control panel on the fire signal in the far away. The devised systems have designed and embodied the analysis of circumstances information and module that can analyze the circumstances information from the p-type fire control panel and the part of internet access installment which can gather and deliver the circumstances information from the fire prevention facility receiver.

  • As the needs of real-time visual object tracking are increasing in various kinds of application fields such as surveillance, entertainment, etc., kernel-based mean-shift tracking has received more interests. One of major issues in kernel-based mean-shift tracking is to be robust under partial or full occlusion status. This paper presents a real-time mean-shift tracking which is robust in partial occlusion by applying multi-mode local kernel weight. In the proposed method, a kernel is divided into multiple sub-kernels and each sub-kernel has a kernel weight to be determined according to the location of the sub-kernel. The experimental results show that the proposed method is more stable than the previous methods with multi-mode kernels in partial occlusion circumstance.

  • This paper presents a multiple face detector based on a robust pupil detection technique. The pupil detector uses active illumination that exploits the retro­reflectivity property of eyes to facilitate detection. The detection range of this method is appropriate for interactive desktop and kiosk applications. Once the location of the pupil candidates are computed, the candidates are filtered and grouped into pairs that correspond to faces using heuristic rules. To demonstrate the robustness of the face detection technique, a dual mode face tracker was developed, which is initialized with the most salient detected face. Recursive estimators are used to guarantee the stability of the process and combine the measurements from the multi­face detector and a feature correlation tracker. The estimated position of the face is used to control a pan­tilt servo mechanism in real­time, that moves the camera to keep the tracked face always centered in the image.

  • Real Time Locating Systems (RTLS) are used to track and identify the location of objects in real time using simple, inexpensive tags attached to or embedded in objects and readers that receive the wireless signals from these tags to determine their locations. A tag is powered an internal source such as a battery. The blink frequency of a tag affects the energy efficiency and the locating accuracy of RTLS. The mobility of a tag also affects the locating accuracy. In this paper, we introduce a RTLS tag design which improves the locating accuracy and the power efficiency. We propose an adaptive transmission-rate control algorithm using a motion sensor. By analyzing the signal pattern of the motion sensor, we can build a model to estimate the speed of the motion. Using this model, our algorithm can achieve better locating accuracy and lower power consumption than those of the conventional method. In our experiments, the number of transmission reduced as 40%, keeping similar locating accuracy.

  • In this paper we propose three existing reflection removal algorithms and one proposed algorithm to estimate accurate targets in near field using IR-UWB (Impulse-Radio Ultra Wideband) radar. The received signal includes unnecessary reflected wave signals to the target signal. A reflective cancellation algorithm was used to remove unnecessary signals and estimate only the correct target signal. The location of the targets is estimated in real time with one transmitting antenna and one receiving antenna. In order to overcome the disadvantages of the existing three reflection removal algorithms, we propose a new reflection removal algorithm and estimate the most accurate target. Also we used DSP(Digital Signal Processor) to install the external mounting of vehicles. This paper will contribute to the study of the future reflections.
