해양자동관측용 해상 부이식 파고 시스템에 대한 연구 (A study on the Automatic ocean wave observation buoy system)

  • 태풍 및 해상 악천후에 견디며 무중단 운영, 실시간 관측할 수 있는 고급 사양의 부이식 파고 관측부이 시스템 개발 시급한 상황이다. 본 연구에서 부이식 파고관측 시스템을 국산화 개발하여 실시간 관측(풍속, 기온, 기압)를 부이에 추가하여 해양에 설치하고 해양의 자료를 실시간으로 전송하는 시스템 개발 하였다. 개발된 부이식 파고관측 시스템을 통하여 매년 해상에 투하하는 해양기상부이(표류형 파향파고계)의 수요를 충족할 것으로 기대된다.

  • Wave profiles coming with oblique angle to trapezoidal submerged breakwater on the porous seabed are computed numerically by using a boundary element method. The analysis method is based on the wave pressure function with the continuity in the analytical region including fluid and structure. When compared with the existing results on the oblique incident wave, the results of this study show good agreement. The fluctuation of wave profiles is increased in the rear of the submerged breakwater due to the increase of the transmission coefficient, as the incident angle increases. In addition, in the case of the wave profiles passing over the submerged breakwater on porous seabed, it is able to verify that the attenuation of wave height occurs more significantly due to the wave energy dissipation than that of passing over the submerged breakwater on the impermeable seabed. The results indicate that wave profile own high dependability regarding the change of oblique incident waves and porous seabed. Therefore, the results of this study are estimated to be applied as an accurate numerical analysis referring to oblique incident waves and porous seabed in real sea environment.

Experimental study on the method of estimating the vertical design wave force acting on a submerged dual horizontal plate

  • A steel-type breakwater that uses a submerged dual horizontal porous plate was originally proposed by Kweon et al. (2005), and its hydrodynamic characteristics and design methodology were investigated in a series of subsequent researches. In particular, Kweon et al. (2011) proposed a method of estimating the vertical uplift force that acts on the horizontal plate, applicable to the design of the pile uplift drag force. However, the difference between the method proposed by Kweon et al. (2011), and the wave force measured at a different time without a phase difference, have not yet been clearly analyzed. In this study, such difference according to the method of estimating the wave force was analyzed, by measuring the wave pressure acting on a breakwater model. The hydraulic model test was conducted in a two-dimensional wave flume of 60.0 m length, 1.5 m height and 1.0 m width. The steepness range of the selected waves is 0.01~0.03, with regular and random signals. 20 pressure gauges were used for the measurement. The analysis results showed that the wave force estimate in the method of Kweon et al. (2011) was smaller than the wave force calculated from the maximum pressure at individual points, under a random wave action. Meanwhile, the method of Goda (1974) that was applied to the horizontal plate produced a smaller wave force, than the method of Kweon et al. (2011). The method of Kweon (2011) was already verified in the real sea test of Kweon et al. (2012), where the safety factor of the pile uplift force was found to be greater than 2.0. Based on these results, it was concluded that the method of estimating the wave force by Kweon et al. (2011) can be satisfactorily used for estimating the uplift force of a pile.

저감속 회수장비에서 초음속 시험탄 속도에 대한 이론적 및 실험적 비교 연구 (Analytical and Experimental Comparison of the Velocity of a Supersonic Projectile in the Soft Recovery System)

  • In order to compare numerical analyses made by Song and Kim needed for predicting gas and water filling with experimental results we conducted an experiment to recover a test projectile (43.7 kg with a 155 mm diameter) at a velocity of 775 m/s in a soft recovery system with a length of 179 m using pressurized gas and filled water. The soft recovery system consisting of a series of pressure tubes had a diaphragm, piston, and water plug for filling the pressurized gas and water. We installed a continuous wave Doppler radar system for velocity measurements of the test projectile travelling in the pressure tubes and pressure transducers for measuring the pressure in the soft recovery system. Continuous wave Doppler radar has the advantage of achieving real-time measurements of the velocity of a test projectile. The velocity-time curve of the test projectile, measured using the continuous wave Doppler radar, and the pressure profile were compared with the numerical analysis results. The experiment results show good agreement with the numerical analysis results based on the one-dimensional Euler equation with an HLL Riemann solver.

미기압파에 의한 터널 출구 소음 저감을 위한 고속철도 터널 형상 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on Tunnel Entry Design Considering the Booming Noise Resulting from Micro-Pressure Wave)

  • In general, the booming noise intensity at tunnel exit is strongly related to the gradient of the compression wave front created by high speed train entering the tunnel. This paper presents some results in relation with the compression wave front produced when the high speed train enters a tunnel. Four kinds of tunnel entrance shape with real dimensions were studied to investigate the formation of compression wave front inside tunnel by train entering tunnel. Computations were carried out using three-dimensional compressible Euler equation with vanishing viscosity and conductivity of fluid. According to the results, the flow disturbances occured at tunnel entrance were eliminated by tunnel hood with same cross sectional area. The compression wave front is formed completely at 30-40m from tunnel entrance. The maximum pressure gradient of compression wave front is reduced by 29.8% for the inclined tunnel hood and reduced by 21.5% for the tunnel hood with holes at the top face with tunnel without hood. The length of the inclined hood is 15m and the length of the hood with holes is 20m.

  • A projectile when passes through a moving shock wave, experiences drastic changes in the aerodynamic forces as it moves from a high-pressure region to a low pressure region. These sudden changes in the forces are attributed to the wave structures produced by the projectile-flow field interaction, and are responsible for destabilizing the trajectory of the projectile. These flow fields are usually encountered in the vicinity of the launch tube exit of a ballistic range facility, thrusters, retro-rocket firings, silo injections, missile firing ballistics, etc. In earlier works, projectile was assumed in a steady flow field when the computations start and the blast wave maintains a constant strength. However, in real situations, the projectile produces transient effects in the flow field which have a deterministic effect on the overtaking process. In the present work, the overtaking problem encountered in the near-field of muzzle guns is investigated for several projectile Mach numbers. Computations have been carried out using a chimera mesh scheme. The results show that, the unsteady wave structures are completely different from that of the steady flow field where the blast wave maintains a constant strength, and the supersonic and subsonic overtaking conditions cannot be distinguished by identifying the projectile bow shock wave only.

  • 전세계적으로 건강에 대한 관심이 증가되어 기존 의료 장비보다 편리하고 정밀한 비접촉, 실시간 헬스 모니터링 시스템 개발이 요구되고 있다. 그러므로 우리는 UWB(Ultra Wide Band) 레이더를 통해서 인체에 비접촉, 연속적으로 혈관의 운동 신호를 수집하고 이 수집된 데이터를 실시간적으로 신호처리해서 맥박, 수축기 혈압, 이완기 혈압을 측정할 수 있는 임베디드 기반의 전파를 이용한 혈압 모니터링 시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 임베디드 기반 GUI(Graphic User Interface)의 프로그램을 통해서 UWB 레이더 및 제어 시스템을 모니터링하면서 정확한 정보를 실시간으로 LCD(Liquid Crystal Display)에 표시한다. 임베디드 시스템은 소형화를 위해 제한된 자원을 사용해야 하기 때문에 기존의 PC GUI 설계 모드는 상대적으로 더 큰 메모리를 사용하므로 임베디드 시스템에 적합하지 않을 뿐 만 아니라 더 많은 CPU(Central Processing Unit) 처리시간을 요구한다.

  • Introducing the interfacial pressure jump terms based on the surface tension into the momentum equations of two-phase two-fluid model, the system of governing equations is turned mathematically into the hyperbolic system. The eigenvalues of the equation system become always real representing the void wave and the pressure wave propagation speeds as shown in the previous manuscript. To solve the interfacial pressure jump terms with void fraction gradients implicitly, the conventional semi-implicit method should be modified as an intermediate iteration method for void fraction at fractional time step. This advanced semi-implicit method (ASIM) then becomes stable without conventional additive terms. As a consequence, including the interfacial pressure jump terms with the advanced semi-implicit method, the numerical solutions of typical two-phase problems can be more stable and sound than those calculated exclusively by using any other terms like virtual mass, or artificial viscosity.

  • In this study, cyclic triaxial tests were performed with the samples which were anisotropically consolidated using irregular earthquake loading to consider in-situ condition and seismic wave. The consolidation pressure ratio(K) was changed from 0.5 to 1.0. The Ofunato and Hachinohe wave are applied as irregular earthquake loading and liquefaction resistance strength was estimated from excess pore water pressure(EPWP) ratio. As results of the cyclic triaxial tests, buildup of EPWP ratio increased as K value increased. It shows, that the isotropically consolidated sands is more susceptible to liquefaction than anisotropically consolidated sands under equal conditions such as confining pressure and dynamic loading.
