  • Realistic containment analyses for large LOCA using a merged torsion of RELAP5/CONTEMPT4 are conducted. Analyzed are Generic LOCA with respect to the mass and energy releases from the RCS and containment pressure and temperature behaviors. The break locations considered are the double-ended guillotine breaks at the RCP discharge and hot legs for UCN 3&4 plants. For discharge leg break. the predicted containment pressure and temperature reach a peak during blowdown phase, thereafter the pressure and temperature decrease gradually without the second reflood peak. For the hot leg break it is found that the bypass break flow through the broken steam generator-during post-blowdown is negligibly small so that the containment atmosphere is not pressurized after the end of blowdown.

  • Injection molding process factors such as molding temperature, injection pressure, flow rate and flow velocity, must be controlled properly in filling and packing phases in the injection molding process. In this study, effects of these factors on the injection molding were investigated through the flow analysis for the filling and packing phases. Molding troubles like flow mark weld line, sink ma가 short shot and warpage car be caused by these injection molding process factors. Among them the short shot was caused by the fact that the packing pressure could not reach properly to the filling end part in the packing phase and hence the flow rate could not be supplied to the full. In addition as the flow rate for the volumetric shrinkage during the f개zen phase could not be supplied Properly by the packing pressure, the short shot appeared. Here, the volumetric shrinkage reduced with increasing the packing pressure and also the warpage of molded part increased with increasing the packing Pressure.

  • Stray light is the light except the light of the analytic wavelength and the source of measurement error of absorbance. Some experimental results showed that diffractive grating is the major factor of stray light in spectrophotometer. Through the ray tracing with the software tool, classified the paths of the diffractive light from grating and found the range of wavelength which reach the exit slit. The quantity of the stray light(0.025%) is more than the minimum limit of stray light(0.01%) of the single monochromator. A novel optical layout design method, which prevent the reflected rays entering the diffractive grating is proposed.

  • When X-radiation passes through the human body; some is transmitted some is truly absorbed, and some is scattered. In diagnostic radiography, scattered radiation can reach the film if no protective measures are taken. This scattered ray increased density which not necessary for image formation. We studied about absorbtion, scattered ray and the way of get rid of scatter ray according to the x-ray tube kilovoltage and obtained results as follow; 1. Absorbtion ray increased proportion to KVP. 2. Scattered ray increased at high KVP and thick object. 3. Secondary radiation of the primary increased at high KVP and thick object. 4. Remove .ate of scattered ray decreased at thick object and increase at low KVP make use of 6:1 grid ratio

  • Aircraft fires due to accident at an airport may be under a special situation. An outstanding characteristic of aircraft fires is their tendency to reach lethal intensity within a very short time. In domestic aviation act, there are regulations related to services coping with the aircraft accidents within an airport. To cope aircraft fires, it is necessary to define clearly the regulations and standards about the services and related activities of rescue and fire fighting, and to keep the regulations and standards. The study has been performed on the basis of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Airport Services Manual of rescue and fire fighting. The objective of study is to suggest improvement methods for standards applicable to actual service practices of rescue and fire fighting by analyzing through the comparison of domestic and international regulations and standards.

  • This study is focused on acquiring through understanding of the S&T level of Korea to serve as an important basis for the government policy-making and to make available basic information for promoting the National R&D Program effectively. the survey of S&T level is a comparison of the highest level in the world to that of korea in 3 digit of the technology tree table. And survey of technological gaps is determined by year which Korea is able to reach the current level of the advanced countries. The results of the surveys should be applied to strategic technology planning for solving or nar-rowing the technology gap and the major criteria for resources allocation in national R&D Pro-grams. The results of he surveys should be the fundamental information for establishing strategic S&T policy in government.

  • The coastal waters and the adjacent coastal lands strongly influenced by each other and includes islands, transitional and intertidal ares, salt marshes wetlands and beaches. We focus on the coastal zone because of its unique geographical characteristics, Its ecological and economic importance, and the increasing pressures on its integrity. Our coastal zone have been controlled individually about 50 of a different kind of laws, as a result, to reach an individual purpose of the laws, people have developed the coastal zone without considering environmental condition, which brought about ecological destruction, pollution and devastation of the coastal areas. Finally, In 1999, the Coastal Management Act and the Wetlands Conservation Act were established and hereafter the environmental concern has been increased. They will be an important role to preserve our environment of coastal zone. Here I will examine the Laws concerned with environmental management of coastal zone and indicate immanent problems of it. So, I expect that problems will be improved one by one through this paper.

  • In this paper, we propose the M-QDMR algorithm for improvement QoS in the wire/wireless integrated environment. Through simulations and comparing to another multicast algorithm, we reach a conclusion is that M-QDMR can simply and dynamically adjusts the construction of multicast tree with little delay and the most reducible bandwidth resources.

  • The seismic performance of six types of weak-axis steel moment connections was investigated through cyclic testing of six full-scale specimens. These weak-axis moment connections were the column-tree type, WUF-B type, FF-W type, WFP type, BFP-B type and DST type weak-axis connections. The testing results showed that each of these weak-axis connection types achieved excellent seismic performance, except the WFP and the WUF-B types. The WFP and WUF-B connections displayed poor seismic performance because a fracture appeared prematurely at the weld joint due to stress concentrations. The column-tree type connection showed the best seismic behavior such that the story drift ratio could reach 5%.

  • The hand is a very specialized organ that functions to obtain information and to execute motor acts essential to human interaction with the environment. Loss of hand function through infections affects the mechanical tasks that the hand performs and psychological adjustments to their disability. Infection is a disastrous complication of hand injuries and adequacy of circulation is of greatest importance to prevention of infection. Careful debridement, incision, and adequate drainage and antibacterial treatment are of great importance. Optimal care of the infected hand demands that carefully surgical care, early postoperative exercises and other therapy. Hand rehabilitation has grown as a specialty area of both physical and occupational therapy. It is essential that the surgeon and therapist work together, and communicate freely-all of which generally require daily contact. Treating the psychological loss suffered by the patient with a hand infections is an integral part of the rehabilitation therapy as well. Treatment techniques, Whether thermal modalities or specifically designed exercises, are used as a bridge to reach a further goal of returning to functional performance.
