라텍스개질 콘크리트 종류에 따른 표면 박리 저항 특성 (Surface Scaling Resistance of Latex-Modified Concretes)

  • This study focused on the investigation of durability of latex modified concrete in the points of surface scaling resistance as cement types variated and latex content variated such as 5%, 10%, 15%, and 20%. An increasing the amount of latex produced concrete with increased flexural strength, but with slightly lower compressive strength. The increase in flexural strength might be attributed to the latex films between the hydrated cement and aggregates, and the decrease in compressive strength to the flexibility of the latex component named by Butadiene. The surface scaling resistance test was used to evaluate the durability of latex-modified concretes and rapid setting latex-modified concretes. The surface scaling resistance of LMC was quite good comparing to conventional concrete. Further, surface scaling resistance of RSLMC was improved with increasing the latex content.

콘크리트 복개구조물용 보수재료의 성능 평가 (Evaluation of Performance on Repair Materials for Creek Concrete Structures)

  • The deterioration rate of concrete structures in urban area is accelerated due to rapid urbanization and environmental pollution. Repair materials and methods newly introduced in Korea should be investigated whether they are appropriate for the urban environment in Korea. The creek concrete structures are exposed in severe environmental condition than others. Based on these background in mind, the study is focused on evaluation of performance on repair materials used to rehabilitate creek concrete structures. To evaluate the performance of repair materials, four kinds of repair materials were selected based on polymer emulsion. This experimental study was conducted on fundamental performance such as setting time, compressive strength, bending strength, bonding strength, thermal expansion coefficient, and durability performance such as chloride diffusion, carbonation, chemical attack, and steel corrosion rate. On the basis of this study, the optimal repair material which is proper to the environment condition can be selected and service life of creek concrete structures can be extended. As a result, the life cycle cost can be reduced and the waste of material resources will be cut down.

전기로(電氣爐) 산화(酸化)슬래그 잔골재를 이용한 폴리머 속경성(速硬性) 시멘트 콘크리트 기초물성(基礎物性) 연구(硏究) (Study of Polymer Rapid Setting Cement Concrete Using Electric Arc Furnace Oxidizing Slag Aggregate)

  • 전기로 산화슬래그를 콘크리트용 잔골재로 사용하기 위해서는 제철소 제강과정에서 용융상태로 배출되는 제강슬래그를 에이징처리하여 안정된 구조로 변환시켜 이온이나 전자의 이동을 억제하여 슬래그의 화학적 물리적 저항성을 증대시켜 사용하여야 한다. 우리나라에서는 전기로 산화슬래그를 콘크리트용 잔골재로 활용하기 위한 제도적 기반으로서 KS F 4571이 제정되어 부산물의 자원화 시스템 기반이 마련되었다. 본 연구에서는, 전기로 산화슬래그 잔골재를 콘크리트포장 관련 보수재로 그 효과가 인정된 폴리머 속경성 시멘트 콘크리트(polymer rapid set cement concrete : PRCC)용 잔골재로 사용하기 위한 기초물성을 검토하였다. 본 연구에서는 콘크리트용 전기로 산화슬래그 잔골재를 100% 치환하였으며 기존 보수재 대비 단위시멘트 20%, 라텍스 혼입률 50%를 저감시킨 최적배합을 도출하였다. 도출된 최적 배합에 의한 콘크리트 성능 평가결과, 초기 압축강도 35 MPa 이상, 휨강도 7 MPa 이상 등 매우 고강도를 나타내었으며 내구성 평가에서 투수성, 동결융해저항성, 표면박리저항성 모두 기준값 이상의 결과를 나타내는 전기로 산화슬래그 잔골재를 이용한 새로운 폴리머 속경성 시멘트 콘크리트를 개발하였다.

시멘트 종류에 따른 SB 라텍스 개질 콘크리트의 강도 및 투수특성 (Strength and Permeability Properties of SB Latex Modified Concrete for Cement Types)

  • This study focused on the investigation of strength development and permeability of LMC(Latex Modified Concrete) and RSLMC(Rapid-Setting Cement Latex Modified Concrete) as the latex content, cement types and w/c ratio changed. The compressive strength of latex modified concrete decreased slightly and the flexural strength increased quitely at 15% of latex content. This may be due to the flexibility of latex filled in voids and interconnections of hydrated cement and aggregates by a film of latex particles, respectively. The permeability test results showed that the permeability of LMC was considerably lower than that of conventional concrete. Results of chloride permeability test, for RSLMC indicated very low at an early age caused by the early formation of needle-shape ettringites and latex film.

증점제를 이용한 분리저감형 유동화 콘크리트의 개발 및 그 특성분석 (Development and Property Analysis of Segregation-Reducing Type Flowing Concrete Using the Viscosity Agent)

  • When superplasticizer is added to manufacture flowing concrete, the base concrete usually needs the adjustment to assure the sufficient fines contained to obtain flowable consistency without excessive bleeding or segregation. However, this may not only increase the cost, but also cause inconvenience in producing the base concrete. In this paper, the experiments are performed on normal base concrete to achieve a segregation-reducing flowing concrete by adding superplasticizer mixed with viscosity agents and AE admixtures. Three kinds of superplasticizer and two kinds of viscosity agent are selected. According to the results, with regard to the performance and cost of the admixtures, melamine type superplasticizer combined with the PEO viscosity agent and AE admixtures at the ratio 1:0.28:0.001 can acquire good quality and reduce the cost in producing the flowing concrete. With proper addition of combined superplasticizer, even though water to cement ratios of the base concrete are different, the segregation-reducing flowing concrete could be also achieved without reproportioning of the base concrete. However, it would be more desirable if the superplasticizer could be adjusted, before it is put into the practical use in order not to cause some other problems, such as rapid rate of slump loss and retarding of setting time.

유지 보수를 위한 RSLMC의 산성 저항성 (Acid Resistance Properties of RSLMC for Maintenance and Repair)

  • Latex modified concrete is governed by both cement hydration and polymer film formation processes in its binder phase. Such the reactions are expected to improve the polymer-cement co-matrixes themselves and the bond between the cement hydrates and aggregates, and to improve the properties of hardened latex-modified concrete. The purpose of this study was to study the strength and chemical resistance of Rapid-setting latex modified concrete(RSLMC) with the main experimental variables such as latex content(0, 5, 10, 15, 20%) and water-cement ratio(36, 38, 40%) at latex content 15%. Water absorption test was earned out to estimate water permeability resistance. Chemical resistance test was carried out to measure the weight change and to observe the appearance of RSLMC immersion in hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, and calcium choloride.

LMC와 RSLMC의 열팽창 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Thermal Expansion of LMC and RSLMC)

  • Latex modification of concrete provides the material with higher flexural strength, as well as high bond strength and reduced water permeability. However, If the thermal expansion properties of overlay concrete (latex-modified concretes) are big different from that of substrate (ordinary portland cement concrete), these would cause a big interfacial stresses and result in premature failure. Therefore, the purposes of this study were to investigate thermal expansion characteristics of latex-modified concrete with cement types. The result of thermal expansion showed the coefficient of thermal expansion of concretes increased with latex inclusion. The coefficient of thermal expansion of RSLMC was a little smaller than that of LMC, which might be due to the finer cement grain, compacter internal, and stiffer properties of concrete. However, the coefficients of LMC and RSLMC were quite similar to that of ordinary cement concrete. Thus, this would not cause an interfacial stresses and will enable to ensure long-term performance of concrete bridge deck overlays.

  • According to demand the increase of the rate of strength development for rapid constructions and repairs, many efforts have progressed to improve on performance of concrete. The use of regulated set cement helps make it possible to increase the rate of strength development. However it has some problems as like increasing its permeability and accelerate its long-term deterioration caused by internal and external factors. The purpose of this study is to improve the performance of regulated set cement, which mixed with the mineral admixtures. In this paper, setting time, compressive/flexural strength and chloride permeability of mortar according to the substitute ratio of SF, FA and BS in the range of $5\~20\%$ were conducted. Based on the test results, 5% substitute of silica fume for binder was showed good performance.

타블렛 형태 급결제가 콘크리트의 응결시간 및 조기강도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on Setting Time and Early Strength of Tablet-Shaped Accelerators)

  • 한중 콘크리트 타설시 발생되는 초기 동해로 인한 피해를 방지하고 조강성을 향상시키기 위해 열풍기 사용을 통한 보양, 결합수와 골재의 가열 및 시멘트 사용량을 늘리는 방법, 급결제 및 촉진제를 사용하는 등 다양한 방법이 사용되고 있다. 하지만 이러한 방법은 사용상의 어려움과 에너지 소비 및 생산비의 증가에 따른 경제성 감소 등의 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이중 급결제 및 촉진제의 사용은 경제적 이지만 수화 초기부터 급격하게 반응하여 급결하는 특성 때문에 작업성의 확보가 어렵다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이에 이 논문에서는 기존 의약 분야에서 주로 이용되는 약물의 고형 투여 형태인 정제(Tablet)화 방법을 이용하여 급결제와의 응결 시간을 비교하였고, 이 결과를 토대로 콘크리트의 물리적 특성 및 역학적 특성 시험을 실시하여 일정 시간 동안 작업이 가능하고 초기동해 방지 및 조강성이 향상 되는지 확인 하였다. 그 결과 급결제 및 타블렛의 경우 사용량이 증가 할수록 응결 시간이 줄어드는 것을 확인하였고, 콘크리트의 물리적 역학적 시험에서는 경시 변화에 대하여 Control과 비교 타블렛0.5%, 1.0%가 일정 시간 동안 작업 시간 확보가 가능함을 확인하였을 뿐만 아니라 조기 강도에서도 급결제 0.5%와 타블렛 0.5%, 1.0%가 뛰어난 조기 강도 발현 특성을 보여주었다.

액체 밀도계 및 pH meter기를 이용한 감수제의 신속품질평가 가능성 분석 (Analysis of the Possibility of Rapid Quality Appraisal of Water-Reducing Agents Using the Liquid Densimeter and pH Meter)

  • According to KS F 2560, water-reducing agents used when mixing concrete are to undergo quality evaluation testing slump, air contents, setting time, etc., when delivered from the admixture factory to the ready mixed concrete site. Yet in actual acceptance testing this could be substituted by the score report of the admixture company, in which a possibility of low reliability lies. Therefore this study sought to analyze whether by artificially changing the solid content rate of lignin- and naphthalene-based water-reducing agents and using a liquid densimeter evaluate the quality of the admixture. The results showed that the Type B liquid densimeter was most appropriate and 50cc the most appropriate capacity for the mass cylinder. Also, judging from the changes in density and pH according to the changes in solid content rate, it concludes that a rapid appraisal of the quality of lignin- and naphthalene-based water-reducing agents would be possible using a Type B liquid densimeter.
