This research is the study of raindrop rendering. In case of rendering for raindrop in existing games, it is used on sprites images or roughly raindrops images using texture rendering. These methods are similar to the shape and size of all rendered raindrop. That's why players are limitations to provide a sense of reality. To overcome this limitation, this paper proposes a method for generating raindrop considering surface tension and contac angle, the amount of water, implements the raindrop using Unity3D engine. To demonstrate the usefulness of this paper, this paper shows the generated raindrop in accordance with the change in the area and pulling force in surface tension formula. This paper can help to provide the actuality in game in case of rendering the raindrop.
This paper presents the results of spectral analysis about waveforms and leakage current waveforms on contaminated silicon insulators under various environment conditions.(salt fog, clean fog, rain). The larger the leakage current during 200ms, the higher the power spectrum at 60Hz. If contaminated insulators suffers from high salt density fog, the leakage current occurs with high crest value intermittently, results in the low spectrum. Analysis of leakage current data showed that this electrical activity was characterized by transient arcing behavior contaminants are deposited on the insulator surface during salt fog tests. This provides a path for the leakage current to flow along the surface of the insulator. It is important to have an indication of the pollution accumulation in order to evaluate the test performance of a particular insulator. If the drop in surface resistivity is severe enough, then the leakage current may escalate into service interrupting flashover that degrade power quality.

In this paper the water sensor using a coaxial cavity resonator is designed and manufactured. The water sensor which can sense water drop linearly has been constructed with voltage controlled oscillator(VCO), coaxial cavity resonator, RF switch, RF detector, A/D converter, DAC and micro controller. The operating frequency range of the designed water sensor is from 2.5GHz to 3.2GHz and the input voltage and current source are 24[V/DC] and 1[A]. The designed sensor circuit includes VCO, RF switch, RF detector which varies the frequency characteristics of the devices in the high frequency of 3GHz. And so we should correct the error of the frequency characteristics of those devices in the sensor circuit. To do this, we make the reference path which switches the signals to the RF detector directly without sending it to the resonator. According to the result of simulation and measurement, we can see that there is 0-50MHz difference between simulated resonator frequency and manufactured resonator frequency.

Rainfall is one of the most active forces that cause soil erosion. The action of rain on the soil exerts an erosive power caused by the impact of the drops, which fall with variable speed and kinetic energy, depending directly on the diameter of the drop. The objective of this study is to determine algorithms capable of estimating rainfall erosivity for the region of Maceió-AL. For this purpose, erosion rains were collected between 2003 and 2006 using a RD-69 disdrometer, which continuously and automatically measures rainfall distribution in a range of 1 min. The determination of algorithms in the form of power equation to estimate was adjusted with one and two independent variables (amount of rainfall, duration and maximum intensity).

Piles and pile foundations have been in common use since very early times. Usually function of piles is to carry load to a depth at which adequate support is available. Another important use of piles is to furnish lateral support and nowadays it is getting highlighted due to the wind load, lateral action of earthquake, and so on. After Broms (1964), many researchers have been suggested methods for estimating lateral capacity of pile. But each method assumes different earth pressure distribution and lateral earth pressure coefficient and it gives confusion to pile designers. Lateral earth pressure, essential in lateral capacity estimation, influenced by pile's behavior under lateral load. Prasad and Chari (1999) assumed the rotation point of pile and suggested an equation of ultimate lateral load capacity. In this study, we investigate the depth of rotation point in both homogeneous soil and multi layered soil, and compare to the estimation value by previous research. To model the pile set up in the sand, we use the chamber and small scale steel pile, and rain drop method. Test results show the rotation point is formed where the Prasad and Chari's estimation value, and they also show multi layered condition affects to location of rotation point to be scattered.

Knowledge of the degree of yield reduction due to water stress at different crop growth stages in rice production is important for rational scheduling of irrigation during periods of insufficient water supply. Previous studies to determine the degree of yield reduction duo to water stress suffered from interruptions by rain during experiment. Also the findings did rot relate the degree of water stress to the soil water potential and water deficit status of rice plants. In this study, two years experiments were conducted using the high yielding rice varieties, an Indica x Japonica (Nampoong) and a Japonica variety(Choochung). These were grown in 1/200$^{\circ}$ plastic pots placed under a rainfall autosensing, sliding clear plastic roof facility to control rainfall interruptions. The results obtained were as follows. 1.The two varieties differed in the growth stage most sensitive to water stress as well as the degree of yield reductions. When rice plants were stressed to the leaf rolling score 4 and soil water potential of about - 20 bar at major crop growth stages which included heading, booting, non-effective tillering, panicle initiation and early tillering stages, the yield reductions in the Indica x Japonica variety were 58%, 34%, 27%, 22%, and 21%, respectively, whereas in the Japonica vairety they were 23%, 36%, 1%, 13% and 22%, respectively. This result show that the recommended drainage during non-effective tillering is valid only for the Japonica variety. Sufficient irrigation at booting, heading and early tillering stages are necessary for both varieties. 2.The two varieties showed visible wilting symptoms when the soil water potential dropped to about - 3.0 bar. The Japonica variety showed more leaf rolling than the Indica X Japonica. However, it had a higher retention of leaf water content and greater stomatal diffusive resistance. When the soil water potential dropped, the Japonica variety showed leaf rolling score (LRS) 1 at 0 soil-5. 0 bar and LRS 2 at 0 soil -6.0 bar while the Indica X Japonica showed LRS 1 at 0 soil - 5.5 bar and LRS 2at 0 Soil - 9.0 bar. The stomatal diffusive resistance was maximum at the second top leaf blade in both varieties at intermediate water stress of 0 soil - 4.5 bar. 3.The number of days that was required for the soil water potential to drop to-3. 0 bar and to - 20.0 bar after drainage of irrigation water from the 20cm deep silty clay loam soil in the pots were 6 and 13 days, respectively for booting stage, and 7 and 11 days, respectively for heading stage, 9 and 12 days, respectively for panicle initiation stage, and 12 and 19 days, respectively for early tillering stage. 4.Water stress during the early tillering stage recorded the longest delay in beading time, the largest reduction in panicle numbers and a substantial yield decrease of 20%. This calls for better water management to ensure the availability of water at this stage, particularly during drought periods. In addition, a reexamination of the conventional inter-drainage practice during the non-effective tillering stage is necessary for the high yielding Indica X Japonica varieties.
Early detection and proper management of kidney rejection are crucial for the long-term health of a transplant recipient. Recipients are normally monitored by serum creatinine measurement and sometimes with graft biopsies. Donor-derived cell-free deoxyribonucleic acid (cfDNA) in the recipient's plasma and/or urine may be a better indicator of acute rejection. We evaluated digital PCR (dPCR) as a system for monitoring graft status using single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP)-based detection of donor DNA in plasma or urine. We compared the detection abilities of the QX200, RainDrop, and QuantStudio 3D dPCR systems. The QX200 was the most accurate and sensitive. Plasma and/or urine samples were isolated from 34 kidney recipients at multiple time points after transplantation, and analyzed by dPCR using the QX200. We found that donor DNA was almost undetectable in plasma DNA samples, whereas a high percentage of donor DNA was measured in urine DNA samples, indicating that urine is a good source of cfDNA for patient monitoring. We found that at least 24% of the highly polymorphic SNPs used to identify individuals could also identify donor cfDNA in transplant patient samples. Our results further showed that autosomal, sex-specific, and mitochondrial SNPs were suitable markers for identifying donor cfDNA. Finally, we found that donor-derived cfDNA measurement by dPCR was not sufficient to predict a patient's clinical condition. Our results indicate that donor-derived cfDNA is not an accurate predictor of kidney status in kidney transplant patients.
The characteristics of rapid development of the low pressure system over the East Sea from 06 to 08 Nov., 1995 has been analyzed in detail by the synoptic numerical products and satellite observations. The Low system was initially triggered the development of the baroclinic leaf cloud over the border of the northern part of Korea and China and moved eastward and then developed explosively com-ma or lambda type cloud system over the East Sea. To forecast well the general development and movement of the coastal winter cyclone over the East Sea popularly in a numerical simulation by several scientists, the large baroclinicity, continuous support of water vapor, and sequential cold outbreak over the warm sea surface have been more commonly concerned about. The cyclone which the central surface pressure was dropped 40hPa within 24 hours has often accompanied strong wind and heavy snow- or rain-fall in the winter season. In all successive observations with 12-hourly satellite imagery and analyzed meteorological variables in this period, the centers of the sea-level pressure and 500hPa geopotential height associated with this cyclone were typically illustrated by moving farther eastward using GMS combined enhanced IR images. The maxi-mum wind sustained by this system with the intensity and central pressure of tropical storm was about 60 knots with the center pressure drop of 44hPa/day similar to the North American cyclonic bomb and Atlantic storm.
Economic damage is occurring due to landslides and debris flows that occur when the ground artificially created for roads or photovoltaic power generation facilities is weakened by rainfall such as torrential rain. In order to understand the stability of the artificially created ground, it is very important to check the ground information such as the compositional state and mechanical characteristics of the stratum. However, since most of the investigation sites are steep slopes or there are no access roads, it is not easy to enter the drilling equipment commonly used to check ground information and perform standard penetration tests. In this study, a dynamic cone penetration test (DCP) device using a miniaturized auger drilling equipment and an automatic drop device was developed to check the cone resistance value and the dynamic cone penetration test value and analyze the correlation with the standard penetration test value to confirm its applicability at the mountain solar power generation site. As a result, the cone resistance value is qd = 0.46 N and the dynamic cone penetration test value is Nd = 1.58 N, confirming a value similar to the results of existing researchers to secure its reliability.

Time-series CTDT (Conductivity/Temperature/Depth/Transmissivity) were obtained at one point near tidewater glacier of Marian Cove (King George Islands, Antarctica) to present water column properties and SPM (suspended particulate matter) dispersal pattern in relation with tide, current, meteorological data, and SPM concentration. Four layers were divided from the water column characteristics measured in the interval of an hour for about 2 days: 1) cold, fresh, and turbid surface mixed layer between 0-20 m in water depth, 2) warm, saline, and relatively clean Maxwell Bay inflow between 20-40 m in water depth, 3) turbid/cold tongue of subglacial discharges compared with the ambient waters between 40-70 m in water depth, and 4) cold, saline, and clean bottom water beneath 70 m in water depth. Surface plume, turbid freshwater at coastal/cliff area in late summer (early February), had the characteristic temperature and SPM concentration according to morphology, glacial condition, and composition of sediments. The restrict dispersion only over the input source of meltwater discharges was due to calm wether condition. Due to strong wind-induced surface turbulence, fresh and turbid surface plume, englacial upwelling cold water, glacier-contact meltwater, and Maxwell Bay inflow was mixing at ice-proximal zone and the consequent mixed layer deepened at the surface. Large amount of precipitation, the major controlling factor for increasing short-term glacial discharges, was accompanied by the apparent development of subglacial discharge that resulted in the rapid drop of salinity below the mid depth. Although amount of subglacial discharge and englacial upwelling may be large, however, their low SPM concentration would have small influence on bottom deposition of terrigenous sediments.
