  • The safety of staff customers and of general Public in general viewed as one of the most important requirements in the urban transit. The maintenance CALS system for car of urban transit is a part of standardization and development of urban transit system, and We have been performed the establishment of maintenance CALS system from 2001 to 2005. The RAMS for management computerization system are utilized in a variety of CALS system for user's convenience and safety in maintenance. Ever since its inception though, the urban transit has searched for ways to improve reliability, availability, maintainability and safety of the railway subsystem. In this paper, This system include RAMS(reliability, availability, maintainability and safety) of the vehicles shall be enhanced in the future.

  • From the moment that electricity is applied to a relay, a wheel turned, or a valve opened, the process leading to the need for maintenance begins, The uninitiated will tell you that the Maintenance man is someone who repairs something when it has gone wrong. Unfortunately, in any large engineering concern, such as a railway, it is not possible to work on the principle that only when something breaks down should it get any attention. The failure of one contact, diode or bearing could well stop not only the assembly of which it is a part, but the flow line or process, with loss of revenue, and clientele, and often with effects on the safety of both staff and the traveling public. So, we have to establish the reliable and cost-effective maintenance system to resolve these problems.

  • This paper is concerned with the reliability centered maintenance (RCM) of the Automated Guideway Transit (AGT) vehicle system. Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI) has developed the AGT vehicle system from 1999 to 2004. The provisions for a specific maintenance system including RAMS (reliability, availability, maintainability & safety) of AGT vehicle system is necessary for maintaining good operation conditions. RCM is a process used to determine what must be done to ensure that any system continues to do whatever its users want it to do in its present operating conditions. Therefore, we introduce RCM in details and describe how RCM should be applied to AGT vehicle system on Gyeong-San test line. Analyses to approach RCM to AGT vehicle system are demonstrated in the seven steps that contain each main task and detailed operating conditions.

  • In this paper, to increase the maintenance efficiency of the urban railway train control system and to build a standard data system, we collect as much as possible structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data, and collect data by sensing and monitoring the system status and system status and monitoring. pre-process function data(Identification, purification, integration, transformation) through effective data classification and maintenance activities business classification system was studied. The purpose of this is to define the data matrix model by considering the relationship with the data generated and managed in the O&M stage of the train control system operated by the urban railway together with the WBS model, and to reflect and utilize it in practice.

  • Maintenance and repair devices used for the inspection of the main parts of domestic railway vehicles have been imported from abroad. Especially, one of the representative domestic devices, the 'Wheel Profile Inspector System (WPIS)', was made by benchmarking foreign devices; this vehicle has been operated in the field. However, problems such as the reliability and performance of the WPIS in operation have appeared. In this study, in order to improve the precision and reliability of the WPIS for maintenance and inspection of railway vehicle wheels, the researchers improved the railway vehicle's WPIS by applying high-speed vision camera technology and an optimized image algorithm. The test results show that the reliability of the developed WPIS improved by approximately 10.4% compared to that of the conventional system.

  • The EMU of maintenance technique or system is changing on a large scale. To subway operation beginning the breakdown was born and every that time after the fact repaired. But, recently before the breakdown of the subway occurs, repairs in advance with the preventive maintenance concept which was exchanged. However, the preventive maintenance is to readjust, cleaning, tighten and the oil the repetition by the worker simple experience. This study on introduces the EMU of maintenance method which applies a automatic inspection equipment from the study contributing which develops the preventive maintenance system.
