수송력 향상을 위한 지능형 철도물류터미널 구축방안 (On the development of Intelligent Railway Logistics Terminal)

  • The government have plans to improve the railway transport capacity and transport hub for the sustainable national transport and logistics system. Specially, there are much efforts to improve transportation capacity such as high speed transportation of rail freight, enlargement of BT train, development of double stack train, etc. between railway transport hubs. If the transport capacity between railway logistics hubs is increased as planned, we must increase the handling capacity of railway hub terminals. But there are limits to enlarge the terminal infrastructure because of investment scale, location circumstances and urban development plans. To ensure the capacity, with the minimum required enlargement of infrastructure, it is necessary to extremely increase the efficiency of terminal operations. For improving the efficiency, we have to introduce the efficient terminal operation systems based on u-IT and operation optimize technologies. In this paper, we analyse the issues and problems of railway terminals(including ICD) and suggest the concept of intelligent railway terminal and the construction components of technology.

  • There are two methodologies to increase transport capacity of railway. One is to invest railroad equipment or vehicles, and the other is to improve operation efficiency through optimization. All of these is intended to increase transport capacity by improving the line capacity, So far, we treat the line capacity as the criteria for evaluating investment alternatives or for restricting train frequencies, and this criteria is calculated statical and experimental numerical formula. But, line capacity has special attribute that changes dynamically according to operational conditions, so there is a need of new line capacity estimation system. Korea Railroad Research Institute(KRRI) proposed a new line capacity estimation system based on the probability simulation method. In this research. we perform analysis of line capacity for the railway improvement alternatives, and to represent the results.

  • The Design manual for adjusting the capacity and LOS of facilities has been shared in urban railways and high-speed railway stations. However, the pattern of urban railways users and those of high-speed railway users are different from each other. For an example, the high-speed railway users tend to carry voluminous luggages and the transportation disadvantaged such as children and the elderlies. Accordingly, we see that the scale of facilities and the station itself should be constructed differently. The transfer facilities in the high-speed railway stations are classified widely into walking assisting facilities and convenient facilities. We invented the concept of PME(Pedestrian Moving Equivalent) and PWE(Pedestrian Waiting Equivalent)for the spatial calculation of those who are with wheeled luggages, back packs, and children to reflect the uniqueness of users in high-speed railway stations. These equivalents have been applied to the design of the facilities to asses the new Capacity and LOS that are users' favored.

  • 한국철도시스템은 일반열차(각종 여객열차, 화물열차), 고속열차(KTX), 광역전철 급행열차(EMU) 등 다양한 종류의 열차가 사용되는 대중교통시스템이다. 철도시스템의 특징은 공시된 시간표에 의하여 열차가 운행되며, 안전, 정확, 신속, 쾌적한 서비스를 제곱한다는 것이다. 본 연구의 목적은 기존 열차의 속도향상과 다양화를 반영하여 보다 현실적인 선로용량 산정방식을 제시하고 검증하는 것이다. 본 논문은 이론식에 근거한 선로용량과 철도운영기관의 실용용량과의 차이를 최소화 하는데 역점을 두었다. 이를 위해 노선선형에 대한 TPS 시행, 운전방식과 열차제어방식 및 신호시스템 등을 고려한 새로운 철도용량 개념을 도입하였다. 실용Dia예시를 통해 새로운 선로용량산정방식의 결과를 검증하였다.

  • It is very important that the calculation of railroad track capacity in infrastructure investment analysis and train operation planning. The dwelling time is one of the factors that influence in railroad track capacity. Current research in dwelling time has been focusing on theoretical investigation, the state of the research in effective variable (dwelling time etc) is insufficient. In this paper, we clearly draw the concept of railroad track capacity and the estimate on modeling of relationship railway demand and dwelling time. Also, we compare and analyze the variation of railroad track capacity according to transit railway demand in Gyeongin Line (Guro~Inchon). This paper is expected to contribute for improving on the in-using equations and methods in train operation planning as well as for improving level of service on railway user.

  • This paper have been dealt with the analysis for energy efficiency improvement effect of unity storage capacity as a part of the energy storage application study to improve energy efficiency in the electric railway systems. Especially, in order to estimate the amount of energy saving according to the variation of power capacity of each storage, the current limit module was mounted on an existing DC electric railway loadflow program which is based on the analysis model for railway system and storages, and combined optimization algorithm to determine optimal voltage boundary.

  • The structural analysis model for estimate of load carrying capacity of railway bridge on service line is important to determine safety of bridges in service, we need to take response of bridge exactly, applying analysis model similar to the real railway bridge most. Track structure which is to distribute loads and decrease vibrations occurred from running train is constructed on the railway bridges. And it is important factor which should be considered to understand exact dynamic and static responses of bridge. But track structure is currently classified as a none structural members in the structural analysis model for estimating load carrying capacity of railway bridge and not considered in analysis model. That's the reason it is difficult to understand exact behavior of bridges. Therefore, the major objective of this study is to develop an analytical track-bridge model which is similar to real railway bridges considering track structure for safety assessment of railway bridge on service line to be effectively done.

  • Load capacity varies according to a day of the week in traction power supply system, because time schedule in railway is changed as demand for passengers and freights. Therefore, Voltage drop also varies as load capacity. In Korea railway, Voltage collected from catenary in train is decreased, as load supplied traction power supply system is increased. Therefore, investigation about voltage drop should be performed, before development of countermeasure against voltage drop. The investigation can be performed by simulation or field test. Naturally, field test is more precise than simulation. In addition, field test should be carried out at peak load. This paper presents test and analysis about voltage drop in railway. The test is performed in both a day of the week and weekend. The analysis is figured out comparison load capacity between two days and voltage drop across terminal.
