Parallel Running of Induction Motor using Anti-slip Controller (Anti-slip 제어기를 이용한 유도전동기 병렬운전)

  • In electric motor coaches, the rolling stocks move by the adhesive effort between rail and driving wheel. Generally, the adhesive effort is defined by the function of both the weight of electric motor coach and the adhesive effort between rails and driving wheel. The characteristics of adhesive effort is strongly affected by the conditions between rails and driving wheel. When the adhesive effort decreases suddenly, the electric motor coach has slip phenomena. This paper proposes a anti-slip control algorithm which uses the maximum adhesive effort by instantaneous estimation of adhesion force using load torque disturbance observer. Based on this estimated adhesive effort, the anti-slip control is performed to obtain the maximum transfer of the tractive effort.

  • In this paper, thermite and gas pressure weldings have been used to join rails in-track and analyzed as functions of hardness and wear characteristics. The wear rate of thermite welded rail is low compared with that of gas pressure welded rail, which is tested in a pin-on-disk wear tester. The hardness of thermite welded materials is relatively high and narrowly distributed between three zones; welded part, thermally affected zone, and base matrix. Wear of a welded rail may be a major factor in railroad maintenance costs and failures at the rail-rail huh joint.

  • In this paper, a simple 2 D.O.F. planar motion model is proposed in order to analyze the snake motion of a machining center cross head assembly, that is travelling on linear guide rails. In the proposed mathematical model, the friction between head and guide ways is neglected, and also the support structures including guide rails, rear- and side-panels of the machining center are assumed to be rigid. The equations of motion of the proposed model are derived and successfully solved to determine vibration responses of the head assembly due to some applied traction forces.

  • In this study, the crashworthiness analysis was carried out for the hat type section side rails which had an important role of absorbing the impact energy during frontal crash. In case of a tapered hat type section model, numerical simulation models and test models were designed with varing design variables; welding pitch, taper angle, initiator shape, initiator location. The effect of variation of the design variables was investigated by quasi-static and dynamic test and numerical simulation.

  • Current of DC traction systems flows from the positive busbar of the substation, through the overhead contact system, to the vehicle, and returns through the running rails. Because the rails are not very effectively insulated from the earth a certain amount of current flows into the earth, especially in the area near the load and depots. At the place where the stray current leaves the rail and pipe, corrosion may take place. In this paper we introduce the electrolytic corrosion protection methods of depots using silicon rectifier for the rail.

  • In trains driven by electric motor, when the adhesion force between rail and driving wheel decreases suddenly, the electric motor coach has slip phenomena. The characteristics of adhesion force coefficient are strongly affected by the conditions between rails and driving wheels, such as moisture, dust, and oil on the rails and so on. This paper proposes the vector control structure for the improved re-adhesion control with paralleled control of induction motors under the sudden variation of the adhesion force.

The characteristics of adhesion force coefficient is strongly affected by the conditions between rails and driving wheels, such as moisture, dust, and oil on the rails and so on. This paper proposes the simulation system for slip & slide test using virtual train. We can easily research the adhesion characteristics and adhesion control method with this equipment under the sudden variation of the adhesion force coefficient.
