Studying language by the quantitative linguistic method is not a recent development. Lately however, the interest in the quantitative linguistics has increased according to the demand on communication between human and human or between human and machine. We are required to transfer the system of the natural language onto machine. This requires the study of quantitative linguistics because we are unable to seize the characters of the tiny linguistic units and their structure in an intuitive way. In fact, the quantitative linguistics treats the internal structure of the language by the relation between the linguitic units and their quantitative characters. It is natural then that there is this growing interest in quantitative linguistics. In addition, Korean linguists take interest in the quantitative linguistics, although quantitative linguistics in Korea is not advanced by the level of the statistical analysis. Therefore, this present study shows how statistics can be applied in the field of linguistics through the two texts written in French: Lovers of the Subway and Our life's A. B. C.

Association rule mining is an exploratory learning task to discover some hidden dependency relationships among items in transaction data. Quantitative association rules denote association rules with both categorical and quantitative attributes. There have been several works on quantitative association rule mining such as the application of fuzzy techniques to quantitative association rule mining, the generalized association rule mining for quantitative association rules, and importance weight incorporation into association rule mining fer taking into account the users interest. This paper introduces a new method for generalized fuzzy quantitative association rule mining with importance weights. The method uses fuzzy concept hierarchies fer categorical attributes and generalization hierarchies of fuzzy linguistic terms fur quantitative attributes. It enables the users to flexibly perform the association rule mining by controlling the generalization levels for attributes and the importance weights f3r attributes.
Bone is so crucial anatomy for human body. Many researchers study deep into a subject about bone regeneration. There is no standard analysis for quantitative Neo-bone regeneration on calvarial defected model. Micro CT is so useful method to quantitative analysis of Neo-bone regeneration. This study was show that how to quantitative analysis of Neo-bone regeneration with ${\mu}-CT$ Micro CT was possible to quantitative analysis for Neo-bone regeneration on Calvarial defected model. futhermore Not only was Micro CT possible for qualitative analysis but quantitative analysis on the mouse calvarial model. This study will provide bone biology researchers with accurate quantitative analysis.
Genetic markers engendered by genome projects drew enormous interest in quantitative genetics, but knowledge on genetic architecture of complex traits is limited. Complexities in genetics will not allow us to easily clarify relationship between genotypes and phenotypes for quantitative traits. Quantitative genetics guides an important way in facing such challenges. It is our exciting task to find genes that affect complex traits. In this paper, landmark research and future prospects are discussed on genetic parameter estimation and quantitative trait locus (QTL) mapping as major subjects of interest.
In this paper, we introduce a digital cross-polarization and fluorescent color imaging system for quantitative evaluation of skin lesions. We describe the characterization of the imaging systems and the quantitative image analysis methods to show the feasibility for quantitative evaluation of skin lesions. The polarization color image was used to compute erythema and melanin index image which are useful for quantitative evaluation of pigmentation and vascular skin lesions, respectively. The fluorescent color image was used to quantitatively evaluate "sebum" and "vitiligo". In quantitative evaluation of various skin lesions, we confirmed the clinical efficacy of the imaging systems for dermatological applications. Finally, we sure that the imaging systems can be utilized as important assistant tools for the evaluation of skin lesions by providing reproducible quantitative result for widely distributed skin lesions.
The paper proposes a quantitative causal ordering map (QCOM) to combine qualitative and quantitative methods in a framework. The procedures for developing QCOM consist of three phases. The first phase is to collect partially known causal dependencies from experts and to convert them into relations and causal nodes of a model graph. The second phase is to find the global causal structure by tracing causality among relation and causal nodes and to represent it in causal ordering graph with signed coefficient. Causal ordering graph is converted into QCOM by assigning regression coefficient estimated from path analysis in the third phase. Experiments with the prediction model of Korea stock price show results as following; First, the QCOM can support the design of qualitative and quantitative model by finding the global causal structure from partially known causal dependencies. Second, the QCOM can be used as an integration tool of qualitative and quantitative model to offerhigher explanatory capability and quantitative measurability. The QCOM with static and dynamic analysis is applied to investigate the changes in factors involved in the model at present as well discrete times in the future.

Coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) has emerged as a pivotal tool for diagnosing and risk-stratifying patients with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD). Recent advancements in image analysis and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques have enabled the comprehensive quantitative analysis of coronary atherosclerosis. Fully quantitative assessments of coronary stenosis and lumen attenuation have improved the accuracy of assessing stenosis severity and predicting hemodynamically significant lesions. In addition to stenosis evaluation, quantitative plaque analysis plays a crucial role in predicting and monitoring CAD progression. Studies have demonstrated that the quantitative assessment of plaque subtypes based on CT attenuation provides a nuanced understanding of plaque characteristics and their association with cardiovascular events. Quantitative analysis of serial CCTA scans offers a unique perspective on the impact of medical therapies on plaque modification. However, challenges such as time-intensive analyses and variability in software platforms still need to be addressed for broader clinical implementation. The paradigm of CCTA has shifted towards comprehensive quantitative plaque analysis facilitated by technological advancements. As these methods continue to evolve, their integration into routine clinical practice has the potential to enhance risk assessment and guide individualized patient management. This article reviews the evolving landscape of quantitative plaque analysis in CCTA and explores its applications and limitations.
Radioactive corrosion product specimens were analyzed using an electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA) and X-ray image mapping. It is difficult to analyze the composition of radioactive corrosion products using an EPMA due to the size and rough shape of the surfaces. It is particularly challenging to analyze the composition of radioactive corrosion products in the form of piled up, small grains. However, useful results can be derived by applying a semi-quantitative analysis method using an EPMA with X-ray images. A standard-less, semi-quantitative method for wavelength dispersive spectrometry. EPMA analysis was developed with the objective of simplifying the analytical procedure required. In this study, we verified the reasonable theory of semi-quantitative analysis and observed the semi-quantitative results using a sample with a good surface condition. Based on the validated results, we analyzed highly rough-surface radioactive corrosion products and assessed their composition. Finally, the usefulness of the semi-quantitative analysis was reviewed by verifying the results of the analysis of radioactive corrosion products collected from spent nuclear fuel rods.
This paper evaluates the whole impact of quantitative easing on inflation in Korea implemented by the central banks in four major advanced economies, the U.S., Euro Area, U.K. and Japan. According to the analysis employing a VAR-X model with the security holdings of those central banks an exogenous variable, quantitative easing is estimated to exert downward pressures on inflation in Korea. Considering the impulse responses of Korean macroeconomic variables to a quantitative easing shock, the spillover effect is transmitted through exchange rate channel while trade channel turns out to be ineffective. In an additional analysis assessing the impact of each quantitative easing program of the central banks, only those of the Fed and European Central Bank are estimated to be significant. The empirical results prove to be robust even if using long-term interest rates as an alternative indicator of quantitative easing.

In this paper, we propose a randomized response model with discrete quantitative attribute by three-stage cluster sampling for obtaining discrete quantitative data by using the Liu & Chow model(1976), when the population was made up of sensitive discrete quantitative clusters. We obtain the minimum variance by calculating the optimum number of fsu, ssu, tsu under the some given constant cost. And we obtain the minimum cost under the some given accuracy.
