A Study on Major Characteristic Analysis and Quality Evaluation Attributes of Artificial Intelligence Service (인공지능서비스의 특성분석과 품질평가속성에 대한 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to define various concepts, features, and scopes by examining various previous studies on AI services that are completely different from existing services. It also examines the limitations of existing service quality evaluation methods and studies the characteristics by combining them with various cases of new AI services. And this is to derive and propose quality evaluation attributes of AI service. Methods: The concept and characteristics of artificial intelligence were derived through research and analysis of various previous studies related to artificial intelligence. The key characteristics and quality evaluation items were derived through the KJ method and matching based on the keywords and characteristics derived from previous studies and various cases. Results: Based on the review of various previous studies on the quality of artificial intelligence services, this study presents the main characteristics and quality evaluation items of new artificial intelligence services, which are completely different from existing service quality evaluations. Conclusion: The quality measurement model of AI service is very useful when planning and developing AI-based new products or services because it can accurately evaluate the requirements of consumers using the services of the new AI era. In addition, consumers can be recommended a customized service according to the situation or taste, and can be provided with a customized service based on this.

  • As indoor air quality directly affects health and comforts of the residents, researchers from different countries have continued to explore criteria by which indoor air quality can be indicated in a scientific and quantitative manner over the past several decades. However, there are many possibilities that can deteriorate indoor air quality. Due to the uncertainty of influence factors, it is quite difficult to develop a correct evaluation model and quantitative method. Furthermore, the effects from the indoor air pollutants have different levels, leading to the difficulties to apply the regular standard. This study aims to propose evaluation criteria by using the FD-AHP analysis. Obtained findings will be beneficial to construct apartment buildings, commercial buildings and others health performance evaluation framework.

Correlation Analysis of PESQ and MOS Evaluation for HMM-based Synthetic Korean Speech (HMM 기반의 한국어 합성음에 대한 PESQ 및 MOS 평가의 상관도 분석)

  • The PESQ is an objective speech quality evaluation measure that is known to have a high correlation with a subjective speech quality measure such as MOS. To examine whether it could be useful as an objective quality measure of synthetic speech, we carried out both subjective evaluation tests with MOS and DMOS and an objective evaluation test with PESQ for HMM-based Korean synthetic speech signals and analyzed the correlation between them. Experimental results have shown that the PESQ has correlations of 0.87 with MOS and 0.92 with DMOS. It means that the PESQ holds much promise for evaluating the quality of synthetic Korean speech.

  • Nowadays, as the importance of SOA-based software is recognized, the market of SOA-based software is getting bigger. In response to this, the requirements about high reliability and quality SOA-based software is getting increased. In this research, we clearly suggested the evaluation method by giving a specific evaluation example to evaluate the quality of SOA-based software. It is expected to raise the objectivity and the utilization by inducing the quality improvement from this research.

  • It is possible to implement high quality system which coincided with embedded system purchaser's requirements by quality test. The concrete quality test system applicable within our country for embedded software was not constructed yet. Recently, various embedded systems are developed, but they have many problems such as recall by defect. In this paper, we developed evaluation modules and quality test fables which can implement duality test based on ISO/IEC 12119 for embedded software evaluation.

  • This paper studies flicker evaluation considering power quality disturbance. A flicker problem with light device irritates human's eyes. Also, the flicker problem has an influence on adverse effect such as rolling device and rotating device. However, a study of flicker evaluation is not complete. A flicker is measured and evaluated at monitoring point. But we consider power qualify disturbances such as voltage sag and transient that cause fault and inverter/breaker switching. Power quality disturbances affects flicker evaluation. A flicker evaluation index increases. Therefore, we consider power quality disturbances. We detect voltage sag and transient using wavelet and evaluate flicker without flicker index including power quality disturbances.

Development of a Quality Evaluation Standard for Educational Serious Games

  • Given the lack of suitable quality evaluation standards for educational serious games (designed for both entertainment and instruction), we designed a development framework for evaluation standards of educational serious games and proceeded to develop standards in accordance with our proposed procedure. Our standards were designed to evaluate the quality of both technical and non-technical elements of educational serious game software products. We conducted a survey on the need for individual elements of the standard. Participants rated the need for each element on a five-point Likert scale. We then performed a reliability analysis of the survey results. Based on the survey results, we established a final standard for quality evaluation composed of 9 main elements and 31 sub-elements. The results of our research will contribute useful information to users as well as to the developers of educational serious games.

  • We have developed three evaluation checklists of educational softwares for users such as, learners, teachers and parents, not for the software develops or designers. This study has especially focused on CD-ROM titles and softwares on the internet. The followings were selected as the essential attributes that the educational softwares of high quality should possess : ease of use, technical support and interest of learning for learners, educational value and smartness for teachers, packaging integrity, investment value and childproof for parents. The evaluation checklists were developed on the basis of evaluation criteria which were concretion of the essential attributes. The validity of the evaluation checklists was supported by a theoretical study for the development of ckecklists and the actual development process. The interrater reliability and the retest reliability were confirmed by statistical methods. Thus, the developed checklists can be a useful tool to evaluate educational softwares. This study will contribute to improvement of the software quality and help users in selecting educational softwares.

  • Purpose: Considering various measurements for healthcare service quality, the purpose of this study is to examine measurement items for healthcare service quality (HCSQ) based on previous study and service quality evaluation institutions in the international community. Methods: The proposed research model was tested using measurement analysis, based on data collected from 387 respondents in the selected hospital with more than 500 beds in South Korea. Results: The results of the study shed insights about the relative importance of quality items as degree of improvements of care services tangible, safety, efficiency, and empathy. Also, the study provides new measurement model for healthcare service quality. Conclusion: Healthcare organization thrives to find the key factors for improving quality of care and service that meet customers' needs and expectations.

An Dynamic Analysis of Quality Control in Korean Manufacturing Industry (한국제조기업 품질관리활동의 동적 분석)

  • The effectiveness of quality control is contingent to adaptability to the present circumstance. The objectives of this study are to provide empirical data to carry out qualify control effectively. To accomplish this purpose, an empirical study was made by questionaire (mailing survey method, Feb. to Mar. in 1987). The sample is the 167 companies in Korean manufacturing industry. The main findings out of the analysis are as follows the stage of quality control is concentrated in appraisal phase, the company standard is equiped gradually in non-KS marked company and the need of economic evaluation about quality control is increased gradually. With a view to analysing of relationship between quality control and it's effect factors (company standard, KS mark, computer based information system), the methods of $\chi$$^2$ test are used. The company standard have a significant difference in top manager's altitude to duality control, operation stage of quality control. operation scope of qualify control and quality budgeting system but is insignificant with economic evaluation about duality control. Otherwise, KS mark is insignificant with the equality control activity except for operation scope. The quality information system based in computer have a significant difference in operation stage, operation scope and economic evaluation. Therefor, for the purpose of attaining effectiveness of quality control through the economic evaluation about quality control, the company standard and computer based duality information system must be utilized in quality control activity.
