초창기 과학학회의 설립 및 활동에 관한 연구 (On the Study of Foundation and Activity in the Early Scientific Societies)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 초기 대표적인 과학학회의 설립과정과 그들의 활동에 대해서 살펴보는데 있다. 이를 위하여 대학 도서관 자료, 온라인 데이터베이스, 구글 학술 검색, 위키피디아 등에서 자료 검색을 실시하여 연구 대상 과학학회 설립 및 활동과 관련한 문헌들을 수집하였다. 이들 학회의 설립과 활동 분석을 위해 32편의 수집된 문헌, 선행연구 및 과학사 서적 등을 대상으로 내용 분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과를 정리하면 다음과 같다. 과학적인 방법을 수행하기 위한 과정에서 실험의 중요성의 부각은 필연적으로 실험기기의 제작 또는 구입에 대한 비용의 증대로 귀결되었다. 따라서 과학자들은 독자적인 연구를 넘어, 공동체를 구성함으로써 최신의 정보를 교환하고, 상호 협력에 의해서 과학실험을 수행할 필요성에 직면하게 되었다. 이러한 필요성은 과학학회의 창립을 유발시키게 되었다. 초기 과학학회의 설립은 부유한 후원자가 전적으로 학회운영을 부담하는 경우, 학회 회원들이 회비를 거두어 운영하는 경우, 국가가 정부기관으로 설립하는 경우 등으로 구분할 수 있었다. 이 연구의 결과는 미래의 과학학회에 대해 시사점을 제공할 것이다.

과학 교수 학습 방법에 관한 국내 연구 동향 및 이슈 (The Trend and The Issues of Domestic Studies in Relation to Science Teaching-Learning Methods)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 과학 교수 학습 방법에 관한 국내 연구 동향을 분석하기 위한 것이다. 국내 학회의 학술지 6종에 게재된 논문들을 연도 방법 대상 주제에 따라 분석했다. 분석대상은 과학교육 분야 문헌들에서 공통적으로 제시하고 있는 방법들을 추출되었다. 분석 결과 과학 교수 학습 방법에 관한 연구들은 2000년 이후 지속적인 증가세를 보였다. 교수 학습 방법 중 실험, 협동학습, 토의가 많이 연구되었다. 이 세 가지 방법에 관한 연구들에서 가장 많이 채택하고 있는 연구방법은 실험연구로 나타났다. 다음으로는 내용분석, 조사연구, 사례연구 등의 순으로 나타났다. 세 가지 방법에 관한 실험연구는 중학생을 대상으로 한 것이 가장 많았다. 특히 실험연구를 통해 과학 성취도, 태도, 탐구능력, 자기효능감과 관련한 과학 교수 학습방법의 효과를 알아보는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구의 결과를 근거로 볼 때 향후 과학 교수 학습 방법에 관한 연구는 다양한 방법들에 대한 적용 개발 연구 등이 이루어져야 할 것이다. 또한 질적 연구방법을 통해 교수 학습 방법이 실제 교육현장에 적용되는 맥락을 분석하도록 연구 방향이 확대될 필요가 있다고 생각된다. 그리고 다양한 학습자 집단을 대상으로 한 연구를 통해 교수 학습 방법의 효과를 종단적 횡단적으로 접근하려는 시도가 필요할 것이다.

임상 간호교육 평가의 문제점과 개선방안 (Problems and Solving Strategies on Student Evaluation of Clinical Nursing Education)

  • The purpose of this descriptive study was to identify problems and solving strategies on student evaluation of clinical nursing education. Subjects were 239 nurses in 18 hospitals from February to July, 1999. Content analysis using qualitative research method was used to analyze data taking into account the semi-structured questionnaire. The results of this study were as follows: Four categories about problems and solving strategies on the evaluation of clinical nursing education were identified: 'The environment of the clinical nursing education'; 'contents and items of evaluation tool'; 'criteria of evaluation tool'; and 'problems with evaluators in clinical settings'. The problems of the environment of the clinical nursing education were due to the lack of co-ordination between nursing schools and hospitals. In order to solve these problems, the following strategies were suggested: 'initiate a joint meeting between nursing schools and hospitals'; 'do not change the clinical settings frequently'; 'evaluate students after being familiar with them'; and 'evaluate them immediately after clinical practice was ended'. In the problems of contents and items of the evaluation tool, the contents of the tool were very abstract and general. The strategies for treating these problems were to evaluate student using the concrete evaluation items'; refrain from evaluation of nursing knowledge', develop the evaluation tools that are fit for a specific clinical setting'; develop the evaluation tools in line with students' knowledge level; and 'carry out evaluation using the proper contents of tool. The problems of criteria of the evaluation tools were the results of the lack of the clear criteria. The strategies for treating these problems were 'develop the criteria of the evaluation tool'; simplify the range of the cores or evaluate students using check-list'; to evaluate students in objective manner'. The problem of evaluators in clinical settings was due to the failure by evaluators who were not prepared for the task. The strategies were 'to educate and prepare the evaluators before evaluation'.

환아의 죽음을 경험한 중환자실 간호사를 위한 자기성찰 프로그램의 개발 및 평가 (Development and Evaluation of a Self-Reflection Program for Intensive Care Unit Nurses Who Have Experienced the Death of Pediatric Patients)

  • Purpose: This study aims to develop a self-reflection program for nurses who have experienced the death of pediatric patients in the intensive care unit and to evaluate its effectiveness. Methods: The self-reflection program was developed by means of the following four steps: establishment of the goal through investigation of an initial request, drawing up the program, preliminary research, and implementation and improvement of the program. The study employed a methodological triangulation to evaluate the effectiveness of the program. Participants were 38 nurses who had experienced the death of pediatric patients (experimental group=15, control group=23); they were recruited using convenience sampling. The self-reflection program was provided over 6 weeks (6 sessions). Data were collected from April to August, 2014 and analyzed using t-tests and content analysis. Results: The quantitative results showed that changes in personal growth (t=-6.33, p<.001) and burnout scores (z=-2.76, p=.005) were better in the experimental group compared to the control group. The qualitative results exhibited two themes, namely "personal growth" and "professional growth", and ten sub-themes. Conclusion: The self-reflection program developed by this study was effective in helping nurses who had experienced the death of pediatric patients to achieve personal growth through self-reflection, and it was confirmed that the program can be applied in a realistic clinical nursing setting. Furthermore, it can be recommended as an intervention program for clinical nurses.

Virus에 감염된 대추나무의 병엽과 건전엽에 있어서의 유이 amino산의 정성적 비교 (A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF FREE AMINO ACIDS IN HEALTHY AND VIRUS DISEASED CHINESE DATE TREE)

  • A comparative investigation of free amino acids content in healthy check and virus diseased leaves of Chinese date tree, Zyzyphus jujuqa Mill var. inermis Rhed, was carried out by authors throughout the growing season of 1959 and 1960 from June to October. The methods of qualitative analysis of free amino acids aplied in this experiment is followed by Moore and Stein. Free amino acids determined in this experiment are shown in Fig. 1 and Table 1. As the figure and the table are shown, three more amino acids such as glutamine, asparagine and histidine are detected in the diseased material. The additional amino acids which are known as diamines in diseased leaves are conspicuous. It is presumed that the diamine might be incresed by the self-reproduction of the virus in cooporation with certain enzymes which are carrying out the protein metabolism in the host protoplast in contrast with the healthy checks which is carrying out normal protein metabolism. From the histological poing of view, the facts of phloem degeneration or necrosis in diseased leaves, it seems to interrupt to move free amino acids from roots to leaves and it possibly takes place an excessive production of NH3 which is diaminated by the metabolism of nitrogen compounds in such conditioned leaves. Therefore, it is also presumed that additional diamino acids are accumulated in diseased leaves. There are no change of amino acids are accumulated in diseased leaves. There are no change of amino acids in both materials of this plant throughout the growing season qualitatively, and this result agress with the paper of Knight.

한국산 오미자로부터 디벤조사이클로옥타디엔 계열 리그난 화합물 정성 및 정량 분석 (Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis of Dibenzocyclooctadiene Lignans for the Fruits of Korean "Omija" (Schisandra chinensis))

  • Background : Dibenzocyclooctadiene lignans are secondary metabolites present abundantly in the fruits belonging to the genus Schisandra. According to previous studies, Schisandra lignans exhibit anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer and anti-diabetic properties, as well as an inhibitory effect on platelet aggregation. Therefore, establishing the Korean "Omija" (Schisandra chinensis) as a lignan-rich source, in addition to identifying and quantifying the lignans, is extremely valuable. Methods and Results : Dibenzocyclooctadiene lignans were analyzed with liquid chromatography using diode array detection/mass spectrometry, from methanol extracts subsequently identified by a constructed chemical library of 50 lignans. A total of 27 components of lignan including gomisin S were identified, of which schisandrin, gomisin A, gomisin N, deoxyschisandrin, ${\gamma}$-schisandrin, and schisandrin C were identified as the major components in the Korean Omija, Schisandra chinensis. These compounds were divided into two groups, S-biphenyl and R-biphenyl based on the configurations of the stereoisomers structures with contents of 661.7 and 1350.1mg per 100 g dry weight, respectively. The total lignan content averaged 2011.4mg per 100 g dry weight, of which schisandrin and gomisin N comprised the majority (771.8 and 420.5mg per 100 g dry weight respectively). Conclusions : Lignans which are present in high quantities in the ripe fruit of Schisandra chinensis are important functional compounds that play a major role in the prevention and treatment of human diseases.

사례기반학습법을 적용한 수업이 간호대학생의 학습동기와 학습만족도에 미치는 효과 - 인체생리학 수업을 중심으로 (The Effects of Case-Based Learning (CBL) on Learning Motivation and Learning Satisfaction of Nursing Students in a Human Physiology Course)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of case-based learning (CBL) on learning motivation and learning satisfaction of nursing students in a human physiology course. Methods: The development and application of CBL scenarios was conducted from February to June, 2013. Nursing students (n=142) who registered for a human physiology course were assigned into either a control or CLB group. The control group received traditional lectures for 14 weeks. The CBL group received the same 14-week lectures and an additional 5 CBL sessions. The learning motivation and satisfaction were measured by questionnaires at the beginning and the end of the semester. Seven students in the CBL group were randomly selected for a focus-group interview. Quantitative data were analyzed by ${\chi}^2$-test and t-test, and qualitative data were analyzed by content analysis. Results: The learning motivation and learning satisfaction were not significantly different between the two groups. However, 59% of the CBL group answered with a positive impression on the CBL approach as it helped them to feel a sense of achievement, excitement, to form their identity as nursing students, and so on. Conclusion: These findings suggest that the CBL could be a challenging but useful learning method in a physiology course for nursing students. Further studies with guidance, such as instructors' questions and feedback design are needed to utilize CBL more effectively.

포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 이용한 환자안전전담자의 환자 및 보호자 대상 환자 안전 교육 경험 분석 (Experiences in Patient Safety Education of Patient Safety Officer Using Focus Group Interview)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for the development of the most appropriate and effective educational materials for patients and their caregivers through the educational experiences of patient safety officer. Methods: This study is a qualitative analysis that involves using the focus group interview to understand the patient safety education experience of the patient safety officer. Results: The patient safety education experience of the patient safety officer is divided into four topics: (1) patient safety education content (2) patient safety education method (3) patient safety education status (4) activation and improvement of patient safety education. Additionally, the study incorporated twelve subtopics: (a) falls (b) speak up (c) patient safety campaign (d) patient safety rounding and a one on one training (e) education through medical staff (f) education using broadcast, video, post, among others (g) a lot of education in patient (h) patients not interested in patient safety education (i) patient safety education is less effective (j) human and medical expenses support (k) provision of standardized educational materials (l) patient safety culture for patient participation. Conclusions: This study indicate that education for patients and the caregivers should be inclusive and protective of stakeholders from the risks involved in patient safety events. The experience of patient safety officer is necessary for patient safety education for both patients and the caregivers since it is the source of basic data for the future development of patient safety education.

나물콩 품종별 콩나물의 물리화학적 및 관능적 특성 비교 (Comparison of Physicochemical and Sensory Characteristics of Soybean Sprouts from Different Cultivars)

  • 국내 외산 나물콩 품종별 콩나물의 물리화학적 및 관능적 특성을 비교하였다. 백립중은 국내산이 캐나다산보다 월등히 켰으며, 장려품종이 재래품종에 비해 높게 나타났다. 또한 각 품종별 생장 수율은 백립중의 순서와 일치하였다. 수분흡수율은 초기 6시간까지 수분흡수가 급격히 일어나 종자 중량의 약 2.2배에 달하였으며 이후에는 거의 변화가 없었다. 아미노산 조성은 모든 품종에서 16종의 아미노산이 관찰되었으며, Asp, Glu, Lys 및 Arg의 함량이 총 아미노산의 50% 이상을 차지하였다. 지방산 조성은 품종에 따른 차이가 나타나지 않았으며 모든 품종에서 linoleic acid의 함량이 가장 높게 나타났다 무기질은 모든 품종에서 K와 P의 함량이 높고 Fe와 Zn의 함량이 낮게 나타났다 재배직후 배축의 압착강도는 은하가 가장 크고 준저리가 가장 작은 것으로, 자엽의 압착강도는 단엽이 가장 크고 캐나다산이 가장 작은 것으로 나타났다. 삶은 콩나물과 물에 대해 정량묘사분석한 결과 자엽의 노란정도, 자엽의 크기 등 6가지 특성에서 유의적인 차이를 나타내었다.

Fuzzy Linguistic Recommender Systems for the Selective Diffusion of Information in Digital Libraries

  • The significant advances in information and communication technologies are changing the process of how information is accessed. The internet is a very important source of information and it influences the development of other media. Furthermore, the growth of digital content is a big problem for academic digital libraries, so that similar tools can be applied in this scope to provide users with access to the information. Given the importance of this, we have reviewed and analyzed several proposals that improve the processes of disseminating information in these university digital libraries and that promote access to information of interest. These proposals manage to adapt a user's access to information according to his or her needs and preferences. As seen in the literature one of the techniques with the best results, is the application of recommender systems. These are tools whose objective is to evaluate and filter the vast amount of digital information that is accessible online in order to help users in their processes of accessing information. In particular, we are focused on the analysis of the fuzzy linguistic recommender systems (i.e., recommender systems that use fuzzy linguistic modeling tools to manage the user's preferences and the uncertainty of the system in a qualitative way). Thus, in this work, we analyzed some proposals based on fuzzy linguistic recommender systems to help researchers, students, and teachers access resources of interest and thus, improve and complement the services provided by academic digital libraries.
