장시간 고온 환경 노출시 수분의 섭취가 프로골프선수들의 신체피로도 및 심박수에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Sport Drink Ingestion on the Physical Fatigue Level and Heart Rate during Prolonged Exposure in Hot Ambient Temperature in Professional Golfers)

  • We investigated the effects of prolonged exposure in hot environmental condition and ingestion of fluid on various physiological variables including plasma glucose, lactate, the rating of perceived exertion (RPE), and heart rate as well as golf putting performance. Six male professional golfers were voluntarily participated in three different putting trials which were separated by seven days of time interval period. Three different putting trials were conducted at either 20℃ or 32℃, or 32℃ + Fluid ingestion. Performing 32℃ + Fluid ingestion trial, all subject ingested sport drink as much as their body mass was decreased. For each experiment, all subjects were undertaken total 48 putting, which separated by four x 12 putting in four different time points (i.e., Rest, 1 hr, 2 hr, and 3 hr). Plasma glucose concentration was significantly decreased with hot ambient condition but it was almost fully recovered by fluid ingestion. Plasma lactate concentration was significantly higher when subjects were exposed in hot environmental condition, and it did not change with fluid ingestion. There was a no different in putting performance and psychological fatigue level (performed by GRID test) at any environmental conditions. The RPE, commonly used for evaluating of physical fatigue level, was significantly dropped by fluid ingestion which indicates lower physical fatigue level. In addition to this, heart rate (HR) was also significantly decreased after fluid ingestion. Based on these results, it was concluded that the ingestion of fluid during prolonged exposure in hot ambient condition decrease the degree of physical fatigue levels and heart rate, which will possibly improve the golf performance when exposed in extreme weather condition in summer.   • The purpose of this study was to identify critical parameters of a putting performance using jerk cost function. Jerk is the time rate of change of acceleration and it has been suggested that a skilled performance is characterized by decreased jerk magnitude. Four elite golfers($handicap{\leq}2$) and 4 novice golfers participated in this study for the comparison. The 3D kinematic data were collected for each subject performing 5 trials of putts for each of these distances (random order): 1m, 3m, 5m The putting stroke was divided into 3 phases such as back swing. down swing and follow-through. In this study, it was assumed that there exist smoothness difference between elite and novice golfers during putting. The distance and jerk-cost function of Putting stroke for each phase were analyzed Results showed that there was a significant difference in jerk cost function at putter toe (at media-lateral direction) and at the center of mass between two groups by increasing putting distance. From these it could be concluded that jerk can be used as a kinematic parameter for distinguishing elite and novice golfers.

골프스윙 방법에 따른 체중이동 패턴에 관한 연구:숙련자와 비숙련자의 케이스 스터디(I) (Weight Transfer Patterns Under the Different Golf Swing Types: a Case Study Involving a Low Handicap Player and a High Handicap Player (I))

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the weight transfer patterns under the different golf swing types which are full swing control swing and putting stroke. Two women golfers participated in this study, one(165cm, 94.3kg)being classified as a low-handicap(LH)player, the other(165cm, 54.5kg) being classified as a high-handicap(HH) player. Both players are right-handed. Two force plates(Kistler, 9286AA) were synchronized with a motion capture system(Qualisys ProReflex MCU240). Anteriorposterior, mediolateral, and vertical forces were used as an indicator of the pattern of swing. Four discrete positions which are address, top of backswing impact, and finish were identified as an event and three phases which are backswing downswing, and follow-through between he events were also identified. The results showed that, at impact, the total force was 1.24BW ring the full swing 1.17BW during the control stroke, 1.00BW during the putting stroke. Depending on the golf swing types, the differences are existed. At impact, the distribution of forces is different with a low-handicap(LH) player and a high-handicap(HH) player. A LH player has 26% in right foot and 74% in left foot during the full swing 49% in right foot and 51% in left foot during the control swing 49% in right foot and 51% in left foot during the putting stroke. A HH, on the other hand, has 74% in right foot and 26% in left foot during the full swing 62% in right foot and 38% in left foot during the control swing 54% in right foot and 46% in left foot during the putting stroke. From address to top of backswing the amount of vertical forces are changed 43:57(right foot: left foot) to 76:24 during the full swing 47:53(right foot: left foot) to 75:25 during the control swing 50:50(right foot: left foot) to 54:46 during the putting stroke. The biggest weight transfer pattern took place in full swing and the control swing is next, and the putting stroke is the final.

경두개직류자극 유뮤에 따른 골프 퍼팅 수행력 비교 분석 (Comparison of Golf Putting Performance on Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 경두개직류자극(tDCS) 유무에 따른 골프 퍼팅 수행력을 비교 분석하는 것이었다. 본 연구에 참여한 대상자는 신체 건강한 대학 골프선수 10명이 참여하였다. 1대의 SAMPutt basic unit과 tDCS를 이용하여 퍼팅 시 발생하는 운동학적 자료 수집 및 분석을 실시하였다. 통계분석은 경두개직류자극 유무에 따른 퍼팅 수행력을 비교하기 위해 paired t-test를 실시하였으며, 통계적 유의수준은 .05로 설정하였다. 연구결과, 평지 퍼팅에서 FA와 BS가 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, 훅 2° 퍼팅에서 IS가 통계적으로 유의하게 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 추후 경두개직류자극이 퍼팅 시 신체 균형 유지와의 관련성을 규명하는 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

머신러닝 기반 골프 퍼팅 방향 예측 모델을 활용한 중요 변수 분석 방법론 (Method of Analyzing Important Variables using Machine Learning-based Golf Putting Direction Prediction Model)

  • Objective: This study proposes a methodology to analyze important variables that have a significant impact on the putting direction prediction using a machine learning-based putting direction prediction model trained with IMU sensor data. Method: Putting data were collected using an IMU sensor measuring 12 variables from 6 adult males in their 20s at K University who had no golf experience. The data was preprocessed so that it could be applied to machine learning, and a model was built using five machine learning algorithms. Finally, by comparing the performance of the built models, the model with the highest performance was selected as the proposed model, and then 12 variables of the IMU sensor were applied one by one to analyze important variables affecting the learning performance. Results: As a result of comparing the performance of five machine learning algorithms (K-NN, Naive Bayes, Decision Tree, Random Forest, and Light GBM), the prediction accuracy of the Light GBM-based prediction model was higher than that of other algorithms. Using the Light GBM algorithm, which had excellent performance, an experiment was performed to rank the importance of variables that affect the direction prediction of the model. Conclusion: Among the five machine learning algorithms, the algorithm that best predicts the putting direction was the Light GBM algorithm. When the model predicted the putting direction, the variable that had the greatest influence was the left-right inclination (Roll).

대전입자형 디스플레이 소자의 충전전압에 따른 구동특성 분석 (Analysis of Driving Characteristics by Putting Voltage of Charged Particle Type Display Device)

  • The charged particle type display device is a kind of the reflectivity type display and shows an image by absorption and reflection of external light source. The charged particle is important factor for driving of the display and quantity of charge per mass of the charged particle determines the driving voltage, contrast ratio, response time, etc. But it is easy for the charged particles to be damaged in the putting process of the display and the damages cause lumping phenomenon of the charged particles. Because the lumping phenomenon makes high driving voltage, low quality of optical properties, short life time, etc, so the charged particles must be filled by stable putting methods. In this paper, we filled the charged particles into the panels by electric fields to improve the electrical and optical characteristics of the display. Also, we analyzed the driving characteristics of the charged particles according to the applied putting voltages.

정전기 재해예방을 위한 제전복의 제전특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Antistatic characteristics of Antistatic Garments for the Prevention of Static Electricity Hazards)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate electrostatic charge condition and possibility of electrostatic hazards in case of putting on synthetic smocks and antistatic garments for the purpose of prevention of electrostatic hazards due to a human body electrical charge. It is shown in case of a synthetic smocks, electrostatic voltage by friction is about 2,900 (V), half life period is 12 second, and electrostatic charge is 1.4―1.8 ($\mu$ C). When putting on a synthetic smocks, electrostatic voltage is 2,500―2,800(V). When putting on a jumper of chemical fiber, electrostatic voltage is 8,000(V) . It is, therfore, possible to cause a electrostatic hazards. It is also shown in case of a antistatic garments, electrostatic voltage by friction is 87(V) ―280(V) (washing 90 times), half life period is 3―5 second, and electrostatic charge is 0.24―0.28($\mu$ C) which is much lower than 0.6($\mu$ C) limitation of fire and explosion occurance. When putting on a antistatic garments, electrostatic voltage is 10(V) ―125(V). In conclusion, it is shown when putting on a antistatic garments it is possible to prevent a electrostatic hazards such as fire or explosion due to human body, to prevent a destruction of semiconductor elements and capacity decline, and to prevent a misoperation of automation facilities and semiconductor electric and electronic products.

숏 퍼팅과 롱 퍼팅 시 퍼터헤드와 신체 정열의 운동학적 분석 (Kinematic Analysis of the Putter Head and Body Alignments during Short and Long Putts)

  • The purpose of this study was to kinematically analyze the differences between short(2.17 m) and long(10.94 m) putting stroke motions. Thirteen male professional golfers were participated in this study. Experiment was conducted on the artificial grass mat in the gymnasium. Kinematic data were collected by the 60 Hz Kwon3D motion analysis system. Differences were compared by SPSS paired t-test and one-way ANOVA. Duncan was used for post-hoc test and a=.05. The results were as follows: 1. Ground projected trajectory of the putter head were statistically straight during both short and long putts. 2. There was no consistent alignment tendency among shoulder, hip, and stance alignments. However stance alignment was consistent between short and long putts. Thus it is assumed that professional golfers align their body based on their stance alignment. 3. During putting, shoulder rotated not only up and down but also right and left. 4. Left and right elbow distance was maintained during all phases of the putts for both short and long putts. 5. Inter foot distance of long putting was longer than that of short putting.

그립악력과 각운동학을 이용한 골프 퍼팅 분석 (A Study on Grip Force and Angular Kinematics during Golf Putting Stroke)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the difference in grip force and angular kinematic variables between elite (handicap${\leq}2$) and novice golfers. Three-dimensional motion analysis system with synchronized grip force measurement system was used. The participants consisted of two groups based on their playing ability: 10 elite golfers and 10 novice golfers. Each subject performed 5 putting strokes at the distance of 1, 3, and 5m with randomly selected order. During entire putting phase, elite group showed relatively constant grip force but novice group showed continuously increasing grip force pattern. There existed a clear difference in the trajectory of shoulder line between two groups. As for novice group the rotational center did not converge into one point, for elite group the rotational center converged into precise single point. And there was a clear difference pattern in anterior-posterior directional movement at shoulder between two groups. These difference might be helpful for improving consistent putting skills.

  • The metal spikes evaluated in this study significantly affected more negative on the turf wear and ball speed of putting green than alternative plastic spikes. 1.The metal spikes caused the most amount of wear compared with plastic spikes, athletic shoes and mountain-climbing shoes. On the other hand, athletic shoes caused the least amount of wear. Plastic spikes caused wear more than athletic shoes, hut apparently wear less than metal spikes. The wear from metal spike repaired later than any other tread types. 2.The wear from all kinds of shoe treads in wetcondition green were higher than in dry-condition green and the wear from metal spikes was more severe compared with plastic spikes in both green condition. 3. Ball speed of heavy compaction area by metal spike was reduced about 9% compared with that of light compaction area, hecause metal spikes made many holes in the putting green surface. On the other hand, plastic spikes did not affect hall speed of heavy and light compaction area in the putting green. Key words: Metal spike, Plastic spike, Wear, Ball speed.
