A Study on the Menu-Selection Behavior in Family Restaurant (패밀리 레스토랑 이용고객의 메뉴선택요인에 관한 연구 - 서울시내 4개 F/R을 중심으로-)

  • As the life style of modern people is gradually being more scientific, up-to-date, and specialized, food habit and food cut lure are a measure of cultural level of a country. Studies on consumer behavioral model show that food habit is closely related to consumer preference, changing life pattern and increasing family income. The purpose of this study was, accordingly, to define the impact of menu characteristics on customer menu selection. For that purpose, some at tempts were made: First, discuss the theories on family restaurant and customer purchasing behavior as a standard of analysis. Second, find out if there are any differences in customer menu- selection factors in family restaurant Third, make an empirical analysis of menu-selection factors in family restaurant to suggest in which direction it should move forward Fourth, analyze the relationship of demographic characteristics to menu-select ion factors.

Therefore, The definition of the impact of menu characteristics on customer menu selection is the object of this study. For that purpose, some attempts are made: First, discuss the theories on Korean food and customer purchasing behavior as a standard of analysis. Second, find out if there are any differences in customer menu-selection factors for Korean restaurantin in a hotel. Third, make an empirical analysis of menu-selection factors for Korean in a hotel to suggest which direction it should go forward. Fourth, analyze the relationship between demographic characteristics and menu-selection factors.

  • 대부분의 온라인 전자상거래에서 상품 추천 서비스는 사용자의 정보 또는 구매 이력을 가지고 카테고리를 중심으로 상품을 추출하여 추천을 하는 구조이다. 또, 카테고리를 중심으로 추천을 하다 보니 단일한 구매 패턴에 의해서만 추천을 하게 되고, 상품에 각각에 대한 연관성을 찾아보기 힘들다. 또 단일 구매 패턴은 계산 비용이 작기는 하지만 사용자의 구매 패턴을 정확하게 반영하기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 카테고리 독립적이고, 다중 구매패턴을 고려한 상품추천 서비스의 설계를 제안한다 이를 위하여 단일 항목간의 구조화를 통하여 항목간의 연계성을 고려한 구조를 설계한다.

Relative Evaluation to Its Attributes and Positioning Strategies for Environment-Friendly Agricultural Procucts (친환경농산물의 속성별 상대평가 및 포지셔닝 전략)

  • This study attempted to identify relative evaluation to its attributes and improvement of consumer's demand in the Environment-Friendly Agricultural Products(EFAP). To identify the consumption patterns of EFAP, a series of household surveys were conducted for housewives residing in Seoul and its metropolitan area(Bundang and Ilsan). the sample size of the survey is 366 respectively. This study operated relative evaluation of EFAP by Multi-Demential Scales(MDS) about 10 attributes that this study set up. As the result, the consumers recognized that EFAP is "protection of ecosystem", "food safety", "good for growth of children", "high quality", and in case of conventional farming products is "inexpensive price", and "diversity of purchasing items". This trend has significant implications to the structure of EFAP output and how positioning strategies, and approaches should be properly formulated and implemented.

A Qualitative Research about the Purchase Behavior of Internet Shoppers (인터넷 쇼핑몰 이용자의 구매행동에 관한 질적연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the internet shoppers' new purchase behavior, to examine the general purchase behavior(i.e., purchase pattern, preference), and to examine the related factors to promotion strategies(i.e., e-mail, event) of internet shopping mall. Focus group interviews were done with 40 internet shopping-mall users on May, 2003 for the data collection. Data were analyzed by content analysis and descriptive statistics(i.e., frequency, percent). The results of this study were as following. First, competitive price, accurate product and service information and convenience were considered as important factors in the new purchase behavior among internet shoppers. Second, the more frequent purchasing time through the internet shopping mall were on weekdays rather than weeekends and the most preferred information search engine were category type, item type, and price type in order. Third, e-mails from internet shopping mall were most likely opened by internet shoppers, that is to say, e-mail can be the efficient communication tool as well as the possible promotion strategies. Specifically, the title of email was considered as an important factor to approach the target consumers.

Investigation for health food intake to prevent damage of the elderly (노인들의 건강식품 피해예방을 위한 사용실태 조사)

  • This research aimed to survey problems related to the elderly's purchasing trends and habitual use of health food; it was in order to effectively prevent the monetary and health damage to the elderly of health foods. In February 2006, the data were collected from 271 of the elderly people living in Goyang-si, Kyunggi-Do. The results of the study indicated: first, more than 50% of the respondents had much interest in health foods, and 42.8% of them answered they were taking health foods. Second, about 62% of 116 respondents who were taking health foods were taking one kind of them, for the purpose of maintaining and improving their health condition. Third, the major information regarding health foods was acquired from their family members, relatives and friends, or TV, radio and journals. Lastly, 75% of respondents even did not know whether there was a relief system for damage related to health foods.

A Survey of the Consumption of Convenience Foods (대전.충남 지역 대학생의 편의식품 섭취 실태)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the consumption pattern of convenience flood products, and related factors among 229 Chungnam College student in Daejeon, using a written questionnaire. Of the students 31.9% were male, and 68.1% female. The results have been summarized as follows: 1) The averages household income ranged from ₩ 1,500,000 to ₩ 2,070,000 a month. Convenience flood intake of lunch was 46%, and of snacks was 31.4%. The frequency of purchasing convenience floods with a manufacturer s date was 6.09 $\pm$ 1.16, with packing conditions was 5.55 $\pm$ 1.21, with ingredients listed was 5.43 $\pm$ 1.23, and with a price was 5.40 $\pm$ 1.16. 2) In comparing household income by convenience food intake, those with household incomes ranging from ₩ 2,000,000 to ₩ 2,500,000 had a frequency of convenience flood intake of 2 to 3 times per month. When the pocket money level increased, the convenience flood intake increased. This study provides information on convenience flood intake.

  • 신경망을 이용해 고객집단을 분류하고 고객의 특성에 따라 세분화된 고객들에 대해 다단계 연관규칙을 적용해서 고객의 상품 구매패턴을 찾아 줌으로써 마케팅 전략 결정을 지원하는 구매패턴분류 시스템을 설계한다. 고객분류를 위한 신경망 시스템은 다층 퍼셉트론에 역전파 알고리즘을 이용한다. 주소, 구매금액, 구매횟수, 고객 구분, 상긴 등과 같은 고객정보를 입력층에 입력변수로 지정하고, 이에 따른 우량/일반고객을 출력변수로 지정한 후 신경망을 학습시키면, 실제의 우량/일반의 간과 예측되는 우량/일반의 값의 차이론 최소화시키면서 모형을 형성시켜 나가게 된다. 구매패턴 분류 시스템은 다단계 연관규칙을 이용한다. 고객분류 서브시스템을 통해 고객집단이 세분화되면 각각의 고객집단에 대해 TID와 품목 트랜잭션을 입력으로 cumulate 알고리즘과 개념계층을 이용해 일반화 과정을 수행하면서 빈발 항목을 찾게 되고 이론 근거로 항목간의 연관규칙을 찾아내게 된다.

Consumption Pattern of Meat Products in Korea (국내 육 가공품의 소비성향에 관한 연구)

  • A total of 100 adults were surveyed on types of favorable meat products. They tended to show much of unsatisfactory on the market products. Those unsatisfactory were mostly conceptual such as instant products, unreliable raw materials, sanitation conditions, list of unfavorable ingredients, mix of harmful additives, and etc. The results indicated that the consumers purchased the products of ham, cheese, chicken, sausages, and canned products mostly at medium-large marts(56%), department stores(22%), retail stores(19%) and others(3%). They were also concerned with the distribution date, prices, shape of packaging, and etc. The types of products and frequencies of purchasing various products were varied by time. For the purchase of products, mixed items were more favored rather than the single items.
