Development of the Measured Scales for Purchasing Motivation of Inbound Tourists about Fashion Goods (외래관광객의 패션상품 구매동기의 측정척도 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this research was to develop of measured scales for purchasing motivation of inbound tourists about fashion goods. A self-administrated questionnaire survey method was conducted among foreign tourists visited in Dongdaemun market. Data from 615 of inbound tourists were analysed by using factor analysis. As the results of the survey, 6 factors related purchasing motivation were derived; satisfaction, practicality, fashion, memory of tourism, eonomy and impromptu. The adequate indexes were shown from final models, such as RMR=.047, SMSEA =.043, CFI=.935, GFI=.956, AGFI=.937 and NFI=.888. It means that these values are appropriate to the measured scales for purchasing motivation of inbound tourists for fashion goods.

Perceived Risk and Purchase Obstruction Factors When Purchasing Clothing Online (인터넷 쇼핑몰에서 구매 경험과 소비자 특성이 의류 제품 구매 시 지각하는 위험과 구매 저해에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand factors of risk perception and purchase obstruction by consumer characteristics and purchase experience of clothing in online. The collection of the research materials was progressed by online and offline. Out of 374 usable questionnaires used for examining this study, 278 questionnaires were collected from offline and 107 questionnaires were collected from online. Frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, One-way ANOVA and multiple regression analysis using SPSS WIN 12.0 were conducted. Three factors of perceived risk were extracted: harmonic/image, quality/shopping process, payments. Based on these dimensions, ANOVA was conducted. The results indicated that the more purchasing experience people had, the less the extent of perceived risk they got, and quality/shopping process risk mostly among them. As the factors which obstruct purchasing decision, a security obstruction, a reliability obstruction, a convenient obstruction and an information insufficient obstruction are extracted. Also, the factors have got the result of same aspects as the perceived risk recognized by the Internet shopping experience. Meaningful differences between groups appear at security obstruction, reliability obstruction, and convenient obstruction. Perceived risk almost influenced on purchase obstruction when purchasing clothes in Internet shopping mall. When consumers perceiving harmony/image risk highly make decisions, they usually hesitate or abandon due to reliability obstruction, convenient obstruction. All the factors: including security obstruction, reliability obstruction, convenient obstruction and information insufficient obstruction made consumers perceiving quality/shopping process risk highly obstruct purchase decision.

  • This study is to examine the factors that influence purchasing behavior and decision-making when consumers buy goods through mobile shopping, define purchasing decision-making with the steps of problem recognition, information search, alternative assessment, and purchasing behavior to understand mobile consumer behavior, and investigate how the factors of each step play roles and influence consumers' purchasing decision-making through positive analysis to figure out consumer purchasing behavior in mobile shopping. The study results, First, the user characteristics of information search influence flow. Second, in the relations between the user characteristics in the step of information search and perceived risk in alternative assessment, if recognition on gains is higher, perceived risk for time loss gets lower, and when the level of skills is higher, perceived risk gets higher, and it has been partly adopted that innovativeness does not influence risk perception. Third, in the relations between flow experience and purchasing intention, it has been found to be partially significant that remote presence and challenge do not influence purchasing intention but do influence excitement, attention concentration, and control and also do influence perceived risk and purchasing intention. Fourth, according to the results of analyzing the difference of consumer purchasing behavior by the types of involvement, practical involvement and sensual involvement, user characteristics and flow, and perceived risk differ by the types of products in terms of the search process, thereby changing purchasing intention. Lastly, the significance and limitations of this study was discussed.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences of sociocultural attitudes toward appearance, clothing and cosmetics purchasing behaviors according to male consumer's age group. The research method was survey and subjects were 656 male consumers. The results were as follows. First, three factors (appearance importance awareness, appearance internalization, and slimness importance awareness) were emerged on sociocultural attitudes toward appearance. Young age group showed higher level of appearance importance awareness and internalization than middle age group. Second, there were many differences on clothing purchasing behaviors by age variable. Young age group more importantly considered psycho-social purchasing motives, aesthetic selection criteria, and the internet as information source and purchasing place than middle age group. Whereas middle age group more importantly considered practical purchasing motives, practical selection criteria, and store display & salesman as information sources, and fashion outlet as purchasing place than young age group. Third, there were also many differences on cosmetics purchasing behaviors by age variable. Young age group used more and various cosmetics, and they more importantly considered skin improvement as purchasing motive, skin suitability and price as selection criteria, the internet as information source and purchasing place than middle age group. On the other hand, middle age group generally used fundamental cosmetics, and they more importantly considered skin protection as purchasing motive, quality as selection criterion, TV and store display & salesman as information sources, and discount store and cosmetics speciality store as purchasing places than young age group.

A Study of the Influence of Situational.Emotional Factors on Impulsive Buying in Duty-Free Shops (면세점내 상황적.감정적 요인이 충동구매에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the factors, which influence impulsive buying at duty-free shops. This involved an investigation into the effects of demographic characteristics, the types of purchased items, and the situational and emotional factors affecting impulsive purchasing behaviour in consumers, who had bought items from duty free shops in the past three years. The findings are as follows. Firstly, while beverage and cosmetic items were found to encourage impulse buying, in general demographic variables and type of product had only a slight influence. Secondly, the situational factors of price benefits, overseas luxury branding, and ease of access in the duty free shopping area all had a definite positive influence. Thirdly, with regard to emotional factors, positive emotion was found to have strong augmenting effect on impulsive purchasing. The findings can be used in the development of educational materials to prevent impulsive purchasing and promote sensible consumer behaviour.

Factors Influencing the Customer Satisfaction and Re-Purchasing Intention of Mobile Shopping Mall (모바일 쇼핑에서 고객만족과 재구매 의도에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to identify what factors influence a customer satisfaction and re-purchasing intention and to identify if customer's Intentions are different between a mobile shopping mall and Internet Shopping mall. To perform empirical analysis for the mobile shopping mall, this research reapplied the factors of Parasuraman et al.[77] in a Internet shopping mall, including reliability, reactivity, tangibility, and this research also applied the factors of a mobile properties, including ubiquity, localization, instant connectivity. The empirical results of this research indicate that all hypotheses in our model are significant; However, the factors of a mobile properties negatively. The results of a analysis indicate that the mobile properties in a mobile shopping mall are not significant yet. and customer's recognition in both mobile shopping mall and Internet shopping mall are the similarity. In Conclusion, with the rapid growth of the Mobile Shopping mall market, many mobile shopping mall researches based on customer's Intentions must be published. Therefore, this research will be the foundation of these researches.

The influence of consumption values on fast fashion brand purchases (소비가치가 패스트 패션 브랜드 구매에 미치는 영향)

  • Fast fashion brand marketers should develop marketing strategies that effectively satisfy the values consumers seek when purchasing fast fashion brands. This study aimed to identify the consumption value factors of fast fashion brands and to reveal the value factors that influence attitudes toward purchasing fast fashion brands. Data were gathered by surveying university students in the Seoul metropolitan area using convenience sampling. Three hundred and five questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis, which consisted of exploratory factor analysis using SPSS and confirmatory factor analysis and path analysis using AMOS. The factor analysis revealed the following six value factors: Emotional value, social value, price/value for money, durability value, eco-value, and consistency value. The fit statistic for the six-factor model was quite acceptable. Two of the six value factors, emotional value and price/value for money, positively influenced attitudes toward purchasing fast fashion brands. The overall fits of the revealed model suggested that the model fit the data well. The results suggested that fast fashion marketers need to understand the value factors that motivate consumers to purchase fast fashion brands. In addition, marketers should focus their efforts on satisfying emotional value and price/value for money in order to establish their brands in the increasingly competitive fast fashion industry.

Evaluative Criteria of Cyber Store based on Consumer Character of Cyber Stove Shoppers (사이버쇼핑 이용자의 소비자특성에 따른 가상점포 평가기준)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out evaluative criteria of cyber store toward shopping orientation, purchasing experience and demographic factors of consumers to visit cyber store. This study surveyed consumers who have an experience of using cyber store and judgment sampling was used. The respondents were 240 men and women living in the metropolitan area of Seoul and Gyeonggi province. Research method was measured by clothing shopping orientation (utilitarian and hedonic factors), cyber store evaluation criteria (convenience, quality & trust and product character factors), purchasing experience(existent and nonexistent) and demographic factors. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, t-test, Duncan test, and reliability analysis were conducted. The results were as follows: 1. Evaluative criteria of cyber store were considered importantly in order of possibility of exchange and refund, stability of personal information security, substance of quality degree of product and service and store. 2. Among shopping orientation groups, there were significant differences in all evaluative criteria of cyber store: convenience, quality & trust and product character of store. 3. Among groups toward existence and nonexistence in a purchasing experience, there were significant differences in convenience and quality & trust of store. 4. Among Demographic factors(gender, job, education and income) there were significant differences in convenience and quality & trust of store.

Chinese Consumers' Satisfaction with On-line Purchasing Agent Services of Korean Fashion Products according to Their Selection Criteria and Information Source (중국 소비자의 패션상품 선택기준과 정보원 이용에 따른 한국 패션상품 온라인 구매대행 서비스 만족도: 상해지역 20-30대를 중심으로)

  • Purpose - In order to collect information needed for the establishment of more effective marketing strategies of on-line purchasing agent services targeting Chinese consumers, the study investigated the relationship among Chinese selection criteria. They included fashion products, use of information source, and satisfaction with on-line purchasing agent services. The study also identified the differences in the Chinese selection criteria of fashion products, use of information source, and the satisfaction level with on-line purchasing agent services according to their age and gender. Research design, data, and methodology - The study was implemented through a normative-descriptive survey method using a self-administered questionnaire. Data were collected from February 9 to 28, 2016, and analyzed by factor analysis, ANOVA and Duncan test, t-test, and multiple regression analysis. Results - Differences were found in selection criteria of fashion products and use of information sources among groups. Thirty's age group was concerned about price/brand more than the twenty's were. Twenty's were concerned about practicality/quality of the products more than the thirty's. Hallyu/broadcasting was used by men more than by women as an information source of Korean fashion. SNS/WOM(word of mouth) was used more by women than by man. Twenty's showed lower level of satisfaction with customer services/credibility than other factors. The thirty's showed lower level of satisfaction with informational role of the service than other factors. Those who utilize each type of fashion information source more showed higher satisfaction level with on-line purchasing agent service of Korean fashion products.. In general, according to the selection criteria and use of information, there were differences in satisfaction with on-line purchasing agent service of Korean fashion products. Conclusions - Considering the findings of the study, as well as age, gender, selection criteria and use of information source, Chinese consumers could be used as a criteria of market segmentation for on-line purchasing agent services of Korean fashion products. The results manifested that there is a need to differentiate marketing strategies according to the satisfaction levels with each satisfaction factors of on-line purchasing agent service of Korean fashion products.

The Effects of Family communication and Interest in Clothing on Adolescents' Clothing Purchase Influence (가족의사소통과 의복관심이 청소년의 의복구매영향력에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the consumption of adolescents by investigating the influences on their clothing purchasing influence and the effects of family communication and clothing interest. The questionnaires used for the were conducted for this study analysis was and were distributed to four Middle schools and two High schools which were located in Seoul. and 576 responses questionnaire were used for data analysis. Using SPSS package, factor analysis, reliability, Pearson correlation, regression, ANOVA, Duncan's Multiple Range test, and t-test were applied. The study results of this study are as follows: First, the influence of clothing purchasing influence of adolescents was higher than the parents' purchasing influence. Second, there were negative correlations between two levels of family communication, controlled and opened communication. But, but positive correlations between controlled communication and clothing interest, and between clothing interest and purchasing influence there were positive correlations. Third, there were partially significant differences among demographic factors and levels of communications, clothing interest and purchasing influence. Fourth, for male students social status, opened communication, and clothing interest had an effect on purchasing influence for male students and for female students clothing interest and both controlled and opened communication influenced were affecting purchasing influence for female students.
