  • The nonlinear three-wave interaction is an interesting topic having various applications in nonlinear optics, hydrodynamics, acoustic waves, and plasma physics. The resonant interaction between two laser pulses and a plasma wave plays important roles in plasma heating, laser reflection in the inertial confinement fusion (ICF), plasma wakefield generation, and ultra-intense laser pulse amplification and pulse compression using stimulated Raman backscattering (RBS). • Using EMTP model which describes bipolar HVDC system, switching level simulation results are presented in this paper. Voltage synchronization at point of common coupling, gate pulse generation and current control loops are represented in TACS module. The system consists of 100 km submarine cable rated 300 MW and 12 pulse rectifier and inverter stations which are connected to equivalent three-phase sources and loads through the 154 kV AC lines, respectively. In convertor stations, harmonic filters and capacitor banks are equipped to cancel out the harmonics generated by converters and to supply the required reactive power.

  • Balanced CPM ring dye laser was fabricated. Pulses as short as 62 fs were measured using noncollinear second harmonic generation autocorrelator. The optimum conditions were studied by changing the concentration of staturable absorber, pumping power of Ar+ laser and alignments of the intracavity four-prism sequence.

  • We have established a pulsed low-energy large-aIXTture electron beam(LELAEB) generation system with an energy of 2OO[keV], current of 1[A], pulse repetition rate of 200[Hz], and several tens of ${\mu}s$ pulse width. The system is characterized by a cold cathode that is simpler than the hot cathode. Electron beam does not need to be scanned over target objects because of large beam aIXTture of $300[\textrm{cm}^2]$. Electron source is secondary electrons that are generated when the ions from the glow discharge collide on the cathode surface. In this paper, We report about the design and manufacture of LELAEB generation system based on the theoretical analysis in order to study lXlssibility of increasing the efficiency of IELAEB accelerator. We also report on the possibility of large aperture beam current generation and the current density uniformity based on the experiIrental results.esults.
