카지노 종사자의 조직문화 인식과 심리적 임파워먼트 (Perceived Organizational Culture and Psychological Empowerment of Employees in Casino Companies)

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to verify a role of organizational culture as antecedents to influence psychological empowerment of organizational members, focusing on service workers of casino companies. Therefore, this study sought to examine the question of each clan, adhocracy, market, and hierarchy culture that the workers perceive to influence their psychological empowerment. Thus, the current study examined the relationship between organizational culture and the psychological empowerment by empirical analysis. Research design, data, and methodology - This study chose four domestic casino companies that are run only for foreigners. Using an offline survey, it analyzed the questionnaire data of the 249 surveys collected from employees working in the sales and service sectors. Independent variables were four types of organizational culture: clan, adhocracy, market, and hierarchy. Dependent variables were four subcategories of psychological empowerment: meaning, competence, self-determination, and impact. As research methods, the study applied descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis, using SPSS 21.0 statistical program. Results - Among the organizational culture types, the clan and adhocracy cultures, which emphasize flexibility and autonomy, were relatively more important for the psychological empowerment of workers than the hierarchy and market cultures. Clan culture was the most important factor in terms of meaning and competence, and adhocracy culture was the most important factor in self-determination and impact. However, the hierarchy and market cultures that pursue control and stability were also cultural types that positively affected psychological empowerment of the workers. Hierarchy culture showed positive effects on meaning, competence, and impact except self-determination, and market culture had positive effect only on competency. Conclusions - The study found that organizational culture is an important predictor of psychological empowerment of the employees in casino companies and that important organizational culture types may be different for each sub-factor of psychological empowerment. It suggests that casino companies have to try to recognize and secure diverse organizational culture in order to activate psychological empowerment of their employees because they can provide quality service for customers. Therefore, it is necessary to create a harmonious and balanced culture between promoting flexible and autonomous organizational atmosphere, and stably controlling and operating the organization.

아동의 행동문제와 관련변인간의 인과관계 (The Causal Relationship of Children's Behavior Problem and the Relted Variables)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze a causal relationship of children's behavior problem and the related variables(socio-economic status mother's psychological problem mother's affective parenting behavior children's negative emotionality and children's self-control). The major findings of this study were as follows: 1) Socio-economic status had indirect in influence to children's behavior problem via mother's psychological problem and mother's affective parenting behavior. 2) Mother's psychological problem had direct influence and also indirect influence to hildren's behavior problem via mother's affective parenting behavior and children's negative emotionality. 3) Mother's affective parenting behavior and children's negative emotionality had a direct effect on children's behavior problem and affected indirectly via children's self-control. 4) Children's self-control had direct influence to children's behavior problem. 5) Mother's psychological problem was the most signi icant variable affecting children's behavior problem.

교사의 심리적안녕감, 공감능력, 직무효율성이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Psychological Well-being, Empathy Ability Scale and Job Efficiency on Teacher's Job Satisfaction)

  • 본 연구에서는 교사의 심리적안녕감, 공감능력, 직무효율성이 직무만족도에 미치는 영향에 대하여 검증하였다. 연구대상은 전국에 소재한 초등학교 196명, 중학교 62명, 고등학교 50명으로 308명을 대상으로 상관계수와 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사의 심리적안녕감, 공감능력, 직무 효율성, 직무만족도 간의 관계를 살펴보면, 교사의 심리적안녕감, 공감능력, 직무효율성의 하위변인 중 자율성과 학교행정, 보상체계, 개인적성장과 학교행정, 보상체계, 근무환경, 삶의 목적과 학교행정, 긍정적 대인관계, 자아수용은 보상체계를 제외한 모든 하위영역에서 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중다회귀분석 결과, 직무만족도에 영향을 미치는 가장 높은 변인은 인간관계, 자아수용, 정서적 요소 순으로 나타난 반면, 그 외 모든 하위변인에서는 통계적으로 유의미한 예측변인이 아닌 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 연구에서는 보육교사의 역할갈등, 셀프 리더십이 심리적 복지에 미치는 영향에 대하여 연구하였다. 연구대상은 서울과 경기도에 소재한 어린이집 64개를 선정하여 보육교사 260명을 대상으로 상관계수와 중 다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 보육교사의 역할갈등, 셀프 리더십, 심리적 복지 간의 관계를 살펴보면, 역할 스트레스와 역할모호성, 행동지향, 건설적 사고는 긍정적 복지가, 역할모호성과 행동지향은 긍정적복지가, 그리고 자연보상과 부정적복지의 하위변인을 제외한 모든 하위영역에서 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중다회귀분석 결과, 심리적 복지에 영향을 미치는 가장 높은 변인은 자연보상, 역할모호성, 그리고 역할스트레스 순으로 나타난 반면, 그 외 모든 하위변인에서는 통계적으로 유의미한 예측변인이 아닌 것으로 나타났다.

지루함, 공적 자의식, 스타일 지향성이 인터넷 구매에 미치는 영향 (The influences of boredom proneness, public self-consciousness, and dressing style on internet shopping)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the influences of psychological variables and fashion-related psychological variables on purchasing fashion items on the Internet. Boredom proneness and public self-consciousness were selected as psychological variables, and dressing style was selected as a fashion-related psychological variable. It was hypothesized that boredom proneness and public self-consciousness not only influence the purchasing frequency of fashion items on the Internet directly, but also indirectly through dressing style. Data were gathered by surveying university students in Seoul using convenience sampling. Two hundred and eighty-six questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. SPSS was used for exploratory factor analysis, and AMOS was used for hypothesized relationship testing. The factor analysis of boredom proneness revealed five dimensions, "helplessness," "affective response," "lack of internal stimulation," "lack of external stimulation," and "perception of time." The factor analysis of public self-consciousness revealed two dimensions, "appearance-consciousness" and "style-consciousness," and the factor analysis of dressing style revealed one dimension. The overall fit of the hypothesized model suggests that the model fits the data well. The hypothesized relationship test proved that boredom proneness and public self-consciousness influence the purchasing frequency of fashion items on the Internet indirectly through dressing style. The results implicate effective strategies for Internet shopping malls and suggestions for future study.

남녀 중고등학생의 심리적 특성과 의복행동과의 관계-자아중심성.자의식.신체만족도를 중심으로- (Adolescence Clothing Behavior as Related to Psychological Characteristics. -Emphasis on Adolescence Egocentrism, Self-Consciousness, Body Cathexis-)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of psychological characteristics-adolescence egocentrism, self-consciousness, body cathexis, and demographic variables on clothing behavior of adolescence. Adolescence egocentrism was measured by Kim's Imaginary Audience scale, and body cathexis, by selected questionnaires of Secord Jourard's Body Cathexis Scale. Buss's self-consciousness scae was slightly modified to assess public and Private self-consciousness, and five aspects of clothing behavior were assessed with the questionnaires from the previous studies dealing with clothing interest, psychological dependence, conformity, exhibition, dressing for others. The questionnaire were administered to 498 middle and high school boys and girls living in Seoul and the data were analyzed by Frquency, Factor Analysis, Pearson's Product Moment Correlation, ANOVA, Multiple Regression Analysis and Duncan test. The results of this study were as follows: 1) There were significant positive correlation between clothing behavior and adolescence egocentrism, self-consciousness whereas body cathexis generally were negatively related to clothing behavior. 2) Public self-consciousness and sex were the most influencial variables to clothing behavior among psychological characteristics and demographic variables. Also adolescence egocentrism was proved to be one of influencing factors on adolescence clothing behavior.

취업모의 양육태도와 자녀의 심리적 복지에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Working Mother's Parental Attitude and the Psychological Well-being of Children)

  • This study is about the working mother's parental attitude and the psychological well-being of children. This investigation also analyzed the differences in the psychological well-being of children according to socio-demographic variables and whether there was a percieved affective nurturing attitude and monitoring of the mother. To study such differences, 437 second and third grade children with both parents working were chosen as the subjects of this investigation. The data was analyzed according to frequency, percentage, averages, standard deviation, Cronbach's alpha, t-test, one way ANOVA, and Duncan's mutiple comparison. The major finding were as follows: First, the results of examining the differences of the psychological well-being of children according to socio-demographic variables showed significant differences in the area of anxiety with respect to children's genders, maternal educational levels and maternal occupations. In the area of loneliness, the differences came only from the differences in the grade levels. Second, there were significant differences between loneliness and self-perceived competence in the psychological well-being of children according to the subjects' perception of an affective nurturing attitude and monitoring of mothers. In other words, it revealed that the group of children that strongly perceived an affective nurturing attitude and monitoring by their parents showed a lower level of loneliness and a higher level of self-perceived competence.

가족동반식사가 자녀의 심리에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Family Meals on the Emotional and Behavioral Problems of Children)

  • This study analyzed the effect of family meals on the psychological problems of children. We performed focus group interviews (FGI) on the basic characteristics of family meals, and chose several scales (such as Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL), self-esteem, and a daily hassles questionnaire), to measure the psychological variables. We collected data from 442 dyads (mother-child) and used 440 from dyads. In our results, the frequency of family meals affected the psychological problems of children, especially aggression and emotional instability. The atmosphere during meals also affected depression/anxiety, concentration difficulties, emotional instability, self-esteem, peer relationships, and sociality. There were significant correlations between meal atmosphere, family bonding, maternal personality, and psychological problems of children. We performed covariation analysis to examine and control the influence of family bonding and maternal personality; despite controlling for these variables, family meals still influenced children's psychological problems. We conclude that the family meal is a significant variable that impacts the emotional and behavioral problems of children and stress the importance of frequent family meals.

학령기 아동의 안녕감과 관련변인들 간의 관계 구조분석 (A Structural Analysis of School-Aged Children's Well-Being and Its Related Variables)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural relationships among different variables related to well-being. 748 elementary school students residing in Gumi-City, Pohang-City and Ulsan-City in Korea completed questionnaires about well-being, ego-resilience, self-esteem, basic psychological needs and parent attachment perceived by children. A variance-covariance matrix of this sample was analyzed using AMOS 19.0, and the maximum likelihood minimization function. The goodness of fit was evaluated via SRMR, RMSEA with a 90% confidence interval, CFI, and TLI. The results were as follows: First, children's ego-resilience, self-esteem, basic psychological needs and parent attachment were all found to have a significant direct effect on children's well-being. Second, children's self-esteem, basic psychological needs and parent attachment had a direct effect on children's ego-resilience. Third, children's basic psychological needs and parent attachment had a direct effect on children's self-esteem. Fourth, parent attachment had a direct effect on children's basic psychological needs.

Effects of Perceived Psychological Contract on Commitment and Citizenship Behavior for Service Marketing Agents

  • Purpose - The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of service marketing agents' psychological contract with the company on organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. Research Design, Data, and Methodology - The antecedent variable of psychological contract, dependent variables of organizational commitment and citizenship behavior, and mediating variables of self-esteem, self-efficacy, and perceived organization support were used, based on precedent studies. Result - The psychological contract had a positive influence on self-esteem, self-efficacy, and organizational support. Moreover, self-efficacy and organizational support had an influence on commitment, while self-esteem, self-efficacy, and organizational support influenced organizational citizenship behavior. In addition, the results relating to mediated effects showed that only self-esteem had no mediated effect between contract and commitment. Conclusions - The call centers are asked to let the agents cognize an affirmative psychological contract. Further, the call centers are asked to produce an organizational atmosphere to let agents increase motivation factors. Finally, agents should develop them at personal levels to cognize organizational support affirmatively and to keep mutually beneficial contracts between call centers and agents.
