The purpose of this study was to analyze a causal relationship of children's behavior problem and the related variables(socio-economic status mother's psychological problem mother's affective parenting behavior children's negative emotionality and children's self-control). The major findings of this study were as follows: 1) Socio-economic status had indirect in influence to children's behavior problem via mother's psychological problem and mother's affective parenting behavior. 2) Mother's psychological problem had direct influence and also indirect influence to hildren's behavior problem via mother's affective parenting behavior and children's negative emotionality. 3) Mother's affective parenting behavior and children's negative emotionality had a direct effect on children's behavior problem and affected indirectly via children's self-control. 4) Children's self-control had direct influence to children's behavior problem. 5) Mother's psychological problem was the most signi icant variable affecting children's behavior problem.
The purpose of this study was to identify physical. psychological. sexual and socio-cultural problems that the adolescents have experienced and to assess the demands of counseling about the experienced problems. The design of this study was descriptive-survery study. The sample size was 601 middle and high school students. Data analysis was done by frequencies. Percent. t -test. ANOVA. Pearson correlation coefficiency, stepwise regression and Cronbach's $\alpha$ Score was produced for the reliability of the tool by using the item analysis method. The results was as follows : 1. In the physical problem category, the number of items that half and more than half of the adolescents experienced of often or frequently were 10 among all 19 items. In the psychological problem category. 13 item were among all 19 items. In the sexual problem category, 1 item among all 17 items and in the socio-cultural problem category, 10 items were among all 30 items. 2. The distribution of the each items that the adolescents wanted to the counseling according to the physical. psychological. sexual and socio-cultural problem categories was examined. In the physical problem category, the numbers of the items that half and more than half of the adolescents wanted counseling were 1 among all 19 items. In the psychological problem category, the numbers of the items that half and more than half of the adolescents wanted counseling were 2 items among all 19 items. In the sexual problem category, 0 item among all 17 items and in the socio-cultural problem category, 2 items were among all 30 items. 3. In the comparison of the female student and male student about the experienced problems and the demands of counseling according to the physical. psychological. sexual and socio-cultural problem categories. There was a significant difference statistically in all categories between groups(P<.001) 4. In the comparison of high school students and middle school students about the demands of counseling according to the physical. psychological. sexual and socio-cultural problem categories(P<.001). Particulary, grade II of high school students have experienced problems according to the physical. psychological. sexual and socio-cultural problem categories. There was a significant difference statistically in all categories(P<.001). 5. In the correlation between the experienced problem and the demands of counseling according to 4 categories. there was the positive correlation at P<.001 level. 6. The less the satisfaction for family and school life. the more experienced problems according to the physical. psychological. sexual and socio-cultural problem categories. There was a significant difference statistically in all categories(P<.001).
This study is aimed to investigate the relationship between job-related stressor, problem solving style and psychological distress and the effects of job-related stress and problem solving style on psychological distress of firefighters. The Job-related Stress Scale, Problem Solving Style Questionnaire, and the Symptom Checklist-Revised (SCL-90-R) were administered to 148 firefighters working in Seoul and Gyounggi. Correlation analysis revealed that job-related stress, problem-solving styles such as helplessness and problem-solving control correlated positively with psychological distress and that problem-solving confidence and approaching style correlated negatively with it. Multiple regression analysis showed that job-related negative cognition and emotion, helplessness and approaching style accounted for 43% of the variance in the psychological distress. Among problem-solving styles, helplessness had the highest predictive power for psychological distress. Self-reported helplessness is an important determinant of firefighters' reactions to problematic situations encountered in their job.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the moderated effects of coping strategies in the relationship between life stress and psychological well-being in university students. Methods: Self-report questionnaires were used to collect the data from 278 university students. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, pearson correlation coefficient and hierarchial multiple regression. Results: Psychological well-being is negatively associated with life stress and avoidance coping, and positively associated with problem solving coping. Results showed that there were significant moderated effects of coping strategies in the relationship between life stress and psychological well-being. Under high life stress levels with high problem solving coping and low avoidance coping, there was a high level of psychological well-being. Moreover, life stress and coping strategies interacted well with each other to affect psychological well-being. A negative correlation between life stress and psychological well-being was remarkable for the high problem solving coping group and high avoidance coping group. Conclusion: The study results suggest that in order to improve psychological well-being, it is necessary to provide intervention programs to promote problem solving coping and to reduce the avoidance coping for university students.
This is an investigative study to consider children's COA by parent's problem drinking and their psychological-social character by the COA. According to the results of this study, almost half of the children's COA, among those who have problem drinking parents, demonstrated high dangerous lever in the lower factors, such as emotional character, personnel relative character, and co-dependent character. Results of the inspection into the differences between the psyrhological-social characters, according to the danger lever of the children's COA, suggested the children's danger lever is higher, the self-efficiency and adaptable flexibility, which are the psychological-social characters, are lower, and there are no special differences in the social-support.
This study examined difference in the responses of children and therapists depending on children's problem type(internalization or externalization) and the therapists' levels of psychological burnout. Play therapy' cases (March 2010 ~ September 2011) were successfully concluded in more than 36 sessions, which targeting 14 children aged 4~9 who had emotional and behavioral problems and two therapists who consulted with the children. To examine the change in the play therapy stepwise process in this case, the responses in the children and the therapists were examined by dividing the stages of therapy into the early stage, the middle stage, and the late stage. The Results showed that (1) the children's response during the play therapy process were not significant different for both types of children's problems. Moreover, there were no differences with different levels psychological burnout by the therapist. (2) A change in the children's response during the play therapy process was noted in both children who had internalization problem and in those who had externalization problems. Moreover, according to the therapist's levels of psychological burnout, a change in the children's responses was indicated in the play therapy process. (3) The therapist's responses in the play therapy process did not show significant difference according to children's problem type or therapists' levels of psychological burnout. (4) A significant difference was noted in the responses between the therapists experiencing psychological burnout depending on their level.
The Purpose of this study was to examine the direct or indirect effects of psychological family environment self-control, and friends characteristics of middle school students on their problem behaviors. Data were corrected from 520 senior students of middle school (266 boys and 254 girls) who reside in Inchon. The level of problem behaviors was directly influenced positively by closeness with friends and negatively by self-control and open communication with mothers. And the level of problem behaviors was indirectly influenced positively by intrafamily conflicts and negatively by self-control, parental monitoring and open communication with parents. Self-control was the most powerful predicator of problem behaviors of middle school students. Self-control was directly influenced positively by open communication with fathers and negatively by intrafamily conflicts. Closeness with friends was directly influenced positively by parental monitoring and negatively by self-control and open communication with mothers.

The holistic approach to the variables that influence people's information problem-solving abilities is relatively scant compared to the importance of the issue. The purpose of this study is to analyze the socio-psychological factors that have an influence on the information problem-solving abilities of youths, and finally to analyze how these factors influence the information problem-solving abilities of youths. In order to identify the critical socio-psychological factors, related literature was reviewed and the model framework for this research was constructed based on the resulting factors and socio-psychological theories.
Rehabilitation after spinal cord injury(SCI) is complex process involving an array of adaptation to change in both physical and psychological function. It is generally accepted that psychological disorder and change are sificant psychological problem among the patients with spinal cord injury. The psychological problems that they have are depressor, anxiety, and fear etc. This study was designed to know of psychological state of patients with SCI after injury, such as psychological change and adaptation process, and change of needs.
This study conducted multiple logistic regression to investigate what factors and how much they influence problem drinking. In this study, problem drinking was defined by AUDIT and NAST. Most of the studies on problem drinking focused on socio-demographic factors even though problem drinking is caused by bio-psycho- socio-cultural factors. The current study tried to estimate a logistric regression models including socio-demographic, environmental, psychological, economical, emotional, values, and MMPI factors. The best fit model suggested that problem drinking, which was determined by AUDIT, of college students were related to sociodemographic, environmental, psychological, and emotional factors. Students who were male, whose father, brother or sister had been abused alcohol or drug, students thought that his/her mother had not trusted him/her, who worried about his/her health, smokers, who had strong impulsivity, who had three or more feelings among the sorts of feelings, such as sadness, loneliness, boring making him/her feel to drink alcohol were more likely to had drinking problem. Students who were indulgers-who could not help buying things immediately after they saw goods they like, who were smokers, who had low ego-control, who had three or more feelings among the sorts of feelings, such as become excited, anxiousness, healthy were more likely to be dependent on alcohol. The study suggested intervention programs for college students to prevent problem alcohol drinking and alcohol dependency.
