The purpose of this study was to examine the perception of students about pseudo-science in consideration to their personality traits, cognitive style, and awareness of the nature of science, which might all have a great impact on their behavior and thinking. The subjects of this study were 129 sixth-grade school children in a small urban community in Gyeonggi province. The way they looked at pseudo-science was investigated after three kinds of traits were selected as variables, including personality traits, cognitive style, and awareness of the nature of science. Four different instruments were utilized, which respectively covered personality traits, cognitive style, awareness of the nature of science and perception of pseudo-science. The results of the study were as follows: First, the children with higher emotional stability and liveliness showed higher permeability towards pseudo-science, while made no significant difference on their view of pseudo-science. Second, their cognitive style made no significant difference to their outlook on pseudo-science. Third, as for link between awareness of the nature of science and pseudo-science, the students with a poor understanding of the nature of science were significantly different from those who had a better understanding of it in perception of pseudo-science(p<.05).

In this paper, we define a new algebraic structure known as a generalized pseudo BE-algebra which is a generalization of a pseudo BE-algebra. We construct some examples in order to show the existence of the generalized pseudo BE-algebra. Moreover, we characterize different classes of generalized pseudo BE-algebras by some results.

In this paper we have introduced the concept of pseudo-metric which we induced from a pseudo-valuation on KU-algebras and investigated the relationship between pseudo-valuations and ideals of KU-algebras. Conditions for a real-valued function to be a pseudo-valuation on KU-algebras are provided.

In this thesis, the cognition of students gifted in science on pseudo science was studied in order to acquire basic data to develop a learning program. As a first step, the difference of cognition on pseudo science between science-gifted students and general students in elementary, middle and high schools was studied. Findings revealed that science-gifted students had more negative thought on pseudo science than general students. In addition, there was no progress in their cognition on pseudo science as entered higher grades. Secondly, the cognition of students in a science high school, three times over a 6-month period, was studied. Through this study, it was found that student concepts of pseudo science was not firm, and it is quite possible to induce students to think logically and rationally with the help of a well-organized learning program. Lastly, the factors that might affect student ideas on pseudo science were researched. Students were affected by media such as television and books and also by personal experience. Therefore, students should be trained to correctly judge information presented in the media as authentic or false. Moreover, they should also be provided chances to look back on positive astrological experiences.

Pseudo-ŁBCK-algebras are commutative pseudo-BCK-algebras with relative cancellation property. In the paper, we introduce fuzzy prime ideals in pseudo-ŁBCK-algebras and investigate some of their properties. We also give various characterizations of prime ideals and fuzzy prime ideals. Moreover, we present conditions for a pseudo-ŁBCKalgebra to be a pseudo-ŁBCK-chain.

Generalized pseudo-differential operators (PDO) involving fractional Fourier transform associate with the symbol a(x, y) whose derivatives satisfy certain growth condition is defined. The product of two generalized pseudo-differential operators is shown to be a generalized pseudo-differential operator.

In this paper, we correct some errors and typos of [2] and introduce a new concept related to pseudo n-Jordan homomorphisms, that we call it pseudo n-homomorphism. We investigate automatic continuity and positivity of pseudo n-homomorphisms and pseudo n-Jordan homomorphisms on Banach algebras and C*-algebras. Moreover, we show that the sum of two pseudo n-Jordan homomorphisms is not a pseudo n-Jordan homomorphism and we show that under some conditions the sum of two pseudo n-Jordan homomorphisms is a pseudo n-Jordan homomorphism.

In most classrooms, teachers talk more than students. Teachers have been thought to be knowledge-donors and students have been thought to be knowledge-acceptors, so teacher-talks were thought to be more important than student-talks. But student-talks are very important to the students: not only to the students who speak out their opinions or answer to the questions given to them, but also to the others who say nothing in the class. Many students in Korea are not so fond of speaking out something to all the class, so some teachers are using a strategy: to say something as if he for she) is a student in the classroom. What teachers talk are not the words of the teacher-talks. They are only talked by the teachers, but they function like student-talks. To study this type of talks are needed to help both teachers and students but there are not much research about this. So in this paper we a) name it Pseudo Student Talk (PST), b) define it as 'a kind of talks that are not talked by students of the class but its functions are very similar to the student-talks', c) classify PST in 'EBS 2005 science class for 7th grade' according to types of student talks (categorized by Lemke, 1990), and d) show the usage of each kind of PST.

The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new class of rings that is closely related to the class of pseudo-Krull domains. Let 𝓗 = {R | R is a commutative ring and Nil(R) is a divided prime ideal of R}. Let R ∈ 𝓗 be a ring with total quotient ring T(R) and define 𝜙 : T(R) → R_Nil(R) by ${\phi}({\frac{a}{b}})={\frac{a}{b}}$ for any a ∈ R and any regular element b of R. Then 𝜙 is a ring homomorphism from T(R) into R_Nil(R) and 𝜙 restricted to R is also a ring homomorphism from R into R_Nil(R) given by ${\phi}(x)={\frac{x}{1}}$ for every x ∈ R. We say that R is a 𝜙-pseudo-Krull ring if 𝜙(R) = ∩ R_i, where each R_i is a nonnil-Noetherian 𝜙-pseudo valuation overring of 𝜙(R) and for every non-nilpotent element x ∈ R, 𝜙(x) is a unit in all but finitely many R_i. We show that the theories of 𝜙-pseudo Krull rings resemble those of pseudo-Krull domains.

Three pseudo-silver eels (PS1~PS3) were found by analysis of silvering index and biological characteristics of 454 eels, Anguilla japonica, collected from the 9 sites of Korean fresh and brackish waters from September 2014 to August 2015. Two specimens (PS1~PS2) from Lake Soyang and one (PS3) from Geum river estuary were identified as pseudo-silver eel showing a large difference between silvering index and GSI. The external morphology of the pseudo-silver eels were in S2 (late silver eel) stage, but they were classified into Y1 (yellow eel) and Y2 (late yellow eel) stage in GSI, Gut index, Eye index and Y2 stage in gonadal development and mean egg diameter.
