초등학교 정보화 지원시설의 규모산정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Scale Calculation of Information Support Facility of the Elementary School)

  • Schools have focused so far on a student-oriented education. As the roles of schools, however, have been increasingly emphasized in the information society, community-centered functions are now additionally required. Beyond simply allowing communities to utilize selected facilities, schools can conduct re-education programs for community residents and actively use their facilities for such purposes. As explained above, schools must continuously evolve to meet current needs and demands, such as by offering special classes and utilizing learning facilities in the elementary levels to promote learning in ever-changing societies. This study analyzed the functions of school facilities to communities, as well as the educational functions involved in teaching-learning processes, in light of the advent of a knowledge and information society. Through analysis, the types of information facilities in elementary schools were derived. On the basis of such derived types, systematic and reasonable methods to estimate the scope were suggested.

Innovative Writing Assignments in Engineering to Enhance Learning, Thinking and Motivation

  • Three benefits of incorporating writing in engineering curricula are presented. The first benefit is in improving the communication skills which are essential for engineers and are attained through practice. The second benefit is in enhancing learning and is achieved by utilizing the complex process of writing to heighten the level of understanding. The third benefit, though difficult to recognize and even more difficult to promote in a society (and educational institutes) steeped in the behaviorist tradition, is in promoting meaningful learning by cultivating motivation internal to students themselves. The boundaries of writing activities are broadened to include that of stating a paragraph or even one complete sentence such that it may be incorporated in engineering without undue strain. A two-year trial of incorporating four types of writing assignments in six different courses (a total of 12 classes) at Michigan Technological University shows that writing assignments can be designed to achieve different degrees of the three aforementioned benefits. It is found that different types of writing activities need to be assigned depending on the status of course (elective vs. required) and on the composition of the students taking the course (upper division vs. lower division; majors vs. non-majors).

약학 실무실습교육에서의 효과적인 피드백 (Providing Effective Feedback within Pharmacy Practice Education)

  • Experiential education is a core curriculum of pharmacy education. In experiential education, formative feedback is an integral component of learning and teaching process. Feedback is defined as information provided by a preceptor regarding student's performance based on direct observation. With effective feedback, students can have opportunities to reinforce or correct behaviors and to acquire knowledge or skills. Students highly value and appreciate feedback. They rank provision of effective feedback as one of the most important qualities of preceptors. Preceptors, however, lack an understanding of feedback or practical skills necessary for providing effective feedback. As a result in reality, the feedback provided to students can be differentially effective in improving students' learning. This article describes a theoretical understanding of feedback including definition and value, as well as types of feedback. In addition, practical aspects in providing feedback, such as contents, timing, techniques, and models, are addressed. By understanding the value of feedback and mastering various feedback skills, preceptors will promote students' learning and enhance educational outcomes of experiential education.

  • 전통적인 형성 평가 방법을 이용하여 웹 기반 학습 프로그램을 평가하는 것은 시간과 비용적인 면에서 비효율적일 뿐만 아니라 웹에서 활용 가능한 자료 수집 방법들도 이용하고 있지 못하다는 문제가 제기되고 있다. 웹 기반 학습 프로그램에 적용 가능한 형성 평가 방법을 개발하기 위해서는 웹 기반 학습 프로그램 개발 모형에 기초하여 각 세부 단계별로 형성 평가 방법을 달리 적용해야 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 분석, 설계, 개발, 평가의 각 단계마다 참여 대상, 자료 수집 도구, 수집 내용별로 형성평가 방법을 달리하여 분류하였다. 이 형성 평가 방법을 통해 프로그램의 효과성을 높이고 질을 개선할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

중학생의 의사소통 능력 신장을 위한 멀티미디어 코스웨어 개발 (The Development of a Multimedia Courseware to Improve Middle School Students' Communicative Competence)

  • Multimedia-Assisted Language Learning(MALL) has recently been studied by many researchers. It has been reported that MALL is very effective in encouraging students' desire for learning, promoting their self-directed learning, and improving their communicative competence. Also, it has been evident that it depends on the quality of multimedia courseware whether MALL will be successful or not. However, many researchers have pointed out that most of multimedia coursewares coming into the market have little to do with our curriculum and they are not suitable for the use in the regular classroom. More multimedia coursewares that reflect our curriculum need to be developed. This paper first tries to explore the cognitive, constructivist, and psychological theories supportive of the development of multimedia courseware and then presents the overall procedure for designing and developing a multimedia courseware pursuant to the 7th English curriculum in the middle school. The multimedia courseware developed through this research is expected to enhance middle school students' communicative language skills in English and promote the development of multimedia coursewares of high quality.

  • 알파고와 이세돌의 바둑대결은 세계적인 관심사를 갖으며 알파고의 승리로 끝났다. 알파고의 핵심 기능은 바둑기보를 컴퓨터 스스로 공부하는 딥러닝 시스템이었다. 이후로 인공지능을 활용한 딥러닝 시스템은 활용도가 검증되었다고 할 수 있다. 최근에 정부에서 사물인터넷을 활성화하기 위하여 사물인터넷기본법을 통과시키고 비즈니스모델을 개발하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 딥러닝 인공지능을 활용한 사물인터넷 비즈니스 환경을 분석하고 특화된 비즈니스 모델을 설계하겠다.

Predictive Factors of Self-control in Contactless Online Learners' Self-determination Motivation: Mediated effect of self-efficacy

  • This study aims to provide basic data on establishing online learning by identifying the effects of self-efficacy as a medium on factors affecting self-control according to self-determination motivation through contactless online learning due to Covid-19. The research method used SPSS 25 and Sobel test to examine the causal relationship between the spokesmen and 196 middle and high school students in W-city, Gangwon-do. Self-determination motivation has had a significant effect on self-efficacy and self-control, and self-efficacy has been shown to have a significant effect on self-control. Also, Self-efficacy had a partial mediating effect on self-determination motivation affecting self-control. Based on this, fundamental and continuous development of online education programs to promote self-control of online learners is required, and efforts should be made to support learners' capabilities through psychological counseling.

Development of Subject-Convergent Teaching-Learning Materials for Core Principles of Support Vector Machines

  • To cultivate talented people with creative and convergent thinking skills to live in the era of the 4th industrial revolution, the national curriculum of Korea is gradually emphasizing convergence education and software education. To meet the demands of the times, this paper suggests subject-convergent teaching-learning materials for educating core principles of Support Vector Machines, especially targeting elementary learners. Based on analysis of the national curriculum, achievement standards of three subjects are integrated. After printable worksheets for traditional face-to-face classes had developed, they were transformed to online interactive worksheets for non-face-to-face classes. The teaching-learning materials are expected to promote the growth of the learners' academic motivation and knowledge.

An Instructional Method for Mobile Technology-Enhanced Collaborative Problem Solving in a Complex Engineering Course

  • The purpose of the article is to address a new instructional approach to a complex engineering course. We design a novel instructional method that combines mobile technology, simulation program, collaborative teamwork, problem-solving process, and a variety of evaluation techniques. We suggested five instructional principles that might be required to change the fundamental educational process by which learning is done. The proposed instructional method is expected to aspire for new perspectives on complex learning environment. Nevertheless we solely began by the research on the development of students' complex problem-solving performance in a complex engineering course, the new instructional method in the article can promote the adoption of new instructional methods and strategies across different knowledge domains. In addition, the instructional method can provide a valuable bridge to acquisition and transfer of problem solving, motivation, and meaning learning.

  • 본 연구는 국내 e러닝 시장을 개척한 기업인 크레듀가 어떻게 시장 진입 기회를 포착하였으며 핵심역량 강화와 함께 어떻게 다각화를 추진하였는가를 실제 사례와 함께 학습자의 e러닝 학습동기유형을 분석하여 살펴보고 기업 차원에서 여러 가지 e러닝 기법들이 어떻게 발전해왔고, 또한 이것을 적용하는 방식에서 어떠한 대응이 필요했는지를 조사하였다. e러닝 시장에서 치열한 경쟁이 펼쳐지고 있는 가운데, 크레듀는 핵심역량을 유지하고 강화하기 위해 고객과 적극적인 의사소통 채널을 만들어 핵심 사업 분야에 대한 집중적인 투자를 단행하면서 학습자의 개인적 특성을 파악하고 학습동기유형에 대한 모델을 만들어 보다 모험적이고 실험적인 제품과 서비스를 출시해 e러닝 발전에 기여했으며 경쟁 우위를 유지할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 소비자의 e러닝 학습동기유형을 분류한 선도적인 연구일 뿐만 아니라 성공한 e러닝 기업의 사례를 통한 e러닝 시장의 개척과 확산 방안에 관한 기법을 소개함으로써 실무적인 측면에서 그 가치가 높을 것으로 기대한다.
