3D GIS(Geographic Information System) processes, analyzes and presents various real-world 3D phenomena by building 3D spatial information of real-world terrain, facilities, etc., and working with visualization technique such as VR(Virtual Reality). It can be applied to such areas as urban management system, traffic information system, environment management system, disaster management system, ocean management system, etc,. In this paper, we propose video visualization technology based on 3D geographic information to provide effectively real-time information in 3D geographic information system and also present methods for establishing 3D building information data. The proposed video visualization system can provide real-time video information based on 3D geographic information by projecting real-time video stream from network video camera onto 3D geographic objects and applying texture-mapping of video frames onto terrain, facilities, etc.. In this paper, we developed sem i-automatic DBM(Digital Building Model) building technique using both aerial im age and LiDAR data for 3D Projective Texture Mapping. 3D geographic information system currently provide static visualization information and the proposed method can replace previous static visualization information with real video information. The proposed method can be used in location-based decision-making system by providing real-time visualization information, and moreover, it can be used to provide intelligent context-aware service based on geographic information.
This paper suggests a position estimating algorithm using mono vision system with projective geometry method. Generally, 3-D information can not be easily extracted from mono vision system which is taken by a camera at a specific point. But this defect is overcome by adopting model-based image analysis and selecting lines and points on the ground as natural landmarks. And this paper suggests a method that estimates position from many natural landmarks by distance error weight function.
For a nef and big divisor D on a smooth projective surface S, the inequality $h^{0}$(S;$O_{s}(D)$) ${\leq}\;D^2\;+\;2$ is well known. For a nef and big canonical divisor KS, there is a better inequality $h^{0}$(S;$O_{s}(K_s)$) ${\leq}\;\frac{1}{2}{K_{s}}^{2}\;+\;2$ which is called the Noether inequality. We investigate an inequality $h^{0}$(S;$O_{s}(D)$) ${\leq}\;\frac{1}{2}D^{2}\;+\;2$ like Clifford theorem in the case of a curve. We show that this inequality holds except some cases. We show the existence of a counter example for this inequality. We prove also the base-locus freeness of the linear system in the exceptional cases.
There has been a sustained interest towards the non-contact structural displacement measurement by means of videogrammetric technique. On the way forward, one of the major concerns is the spurious image drift induced by temperature variation. This study therefore carries out an investigation into the temperature effect of videogrammetric technique, focusing on the exploration of the mechanism behind the temperature effect and the elimination of the temperature-caused measurement error. 2D videogrammetric measurement tests under monotonic or cyclic temperature variation are first performed. Features of measurement error and the casual relationship between temperature variation and measurement error are then studied. The variation of the temperature of digital camera is identified as the main cause of measurement error. An excellent linear relationship between them is revealed. After that, camera parameters are extracted from the mapping between world coordinates and pixels coordinates of the calibration targets. The coordinates of principle point and focal lengths show variations well correlated with temperature variation. The measurement error is thought to be an outcome mainly attributed to the variation of the coordinates of principle point. An approach for eliminating temperature-caused measurement error is finally proposed. Correlation models between camera parameters and temperature are formulated. Thereby, camera parameters under different temperature conditions can be predicted and the camera projective matrix can be updated accordingly. By reconstructing the world coordinates with the updated camera projective matrix, the temperature-caused measurement error is eliminated. A satisfactory performance has been achieved by the proposed approach in eliminating the temperature-caused measurement error.

This paper proposes a combination of the Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC) and Static Var Compensator (SVC) installation for enhancing the damping performance of a power system. The developed scheme employs a damping controller which coordinates measurement signals with control signals to control the TCSC and SVC. The coordinated control method is based on the application of projective controls. Controller performance over a range of operating conditions is investigated through simulation studies on a single-machine infinite-bus power system. The linear analysis and nonlinear simulation results show that the proposed controller can significantly improve the damping performance of the power system and hence, increase its power transfer capabilities. In this paper, a current injection model of TCSC is developed and incorporated in the transmission system model. By using equivalent injected currents at terminal buses to simulate a TCSC no modification of the bus admittance matrix is required at each iteration.

In this paper, in order to solve the problems of a narrow viewing angle and the flip effect in a three-dimensional (3D) integral imaging display, we propose an improved system by using an eye tracking method based on the Kinect sensor. In the proposed method, we introduce two types of calibration processes. First process is to perform the calibration between two cameras within Kinect sensor to collect specific 3D information. Second process is to use a space calibration for the coordinate conversion between the Kinect sensor and the coordinate system of the display panel. Our calibration processes can provide the improved performance of estimation for 3D position of the observer's eyes and generate elemental images in real-time speed based on the estimated position. To show the usefulness of the proposed method, we implement an integral imaging display system using the eye tracking process based on our calibration processes and carry out the preliminary experiments by measuring the viewing angle and flipping effect for the reconstructed 3D images. The experimental results reveal that the proposed method extended the viewing angles and removed the flipping images compared with the conventional system.

The rational polynomial coefficients (RPC) model is a generalized sensor model that is used as an alternative solution for the physical sensor model for IKONOS of the Space Imaging. As the number of sensors increases along with greater complexity, and the standard sensor model is needed, the applicability of the RPC model is increasing. The RPC model has the advantages in being able to substitute for all sensor models, such as the projective, the linear pushbroom and the SAR. This report aimed to generate a RPC model from the physical sensor model of the KOMPSAT-1(Korean Multi-Purpose Satellite) and aerial photography. The KOMPSAT-1 collects 510~730 nm panchromatic imagery with a ground sample distance (GSD) of 6.6 m and a swath width of 17 km by pushbroom scanning. The least square solution was used to estimate the RPC. In addition, data normalization and regularization were applied to improve the accuracy and minimize noise. This study found that the RPC model is suitable for both KOMPSAT-1 and aerial photography.
The order of speciality of an ample invertible Sheaf L on a curve is the least integer m so that $L^{ m}$ is nonspecial. There is a reasonable upper bound of the order of speciality for a simple invertible sheaf in terms of its degree and projective dimension. We study the case where it reaches the upper bound. Moreover we for mulate Castelnuovo's genus bound involving the order of speciality.ality.

A data structure representing 3-D objects was designed for the personal computer. It is very simple to be used in the personal computers which have small memory and low speed. A homogeneous transformation for developing 3-D objects was derived. Each developing procedure consists of five transformations : one translational-three rotational-one translational. Developing a solid is a creative work. So the results of developing vary with the order of surfaces to be developed. One method to reduce the length of seam was considered. The programs used in this study were written in Pascal and Assembly and a modeller that generates 3-D primitives was included. This program is an interactive dual-screen system. While all the menus in Korean are displayed at the monochrome monitor, the development figures with projective views are drawn at the color monitor. The program has wide applications for plate works.

The 3-dimensional measurement using stereo vision system must achieve a camera calibration. So far, the 3-dimensional calibration technique that uses two-dimensional grid papar and a non-linear least square method has been developed and tested. But, this method is inefficient because it has many calculation procedure and a non-linear analysis. Therefore, this paper proposed the projective geometric method which produced the calibration parameter by vanishing point. The vanishing point is producted by a cross ratio and a parallel line pairs. The results of the computer simulation show utility of the proposed method.
