비반복 외삽법에 의한 불완전 투명 데이터의 재생 및 영상의 개선법 (Recovery of Truncated Projection using Non-iterative Extrapolation and Improvement of Image)

  • An algorithm is suggested that truncted projection among the incomplete projections can be recovered from non-iterative extrapolation matrix by band-limited function. After the image being reconstructed from the recovered signals by non-iterative extrapolation, a known controur information and reprojection algorithm are used. It is shown that the reconstructed image using these algorithms is close to the original image. The effectiveness for these algorithms is proved by computer simulation.

  • This paper presents a new method which is calculated to use only three vanishing points in order to compute the dimensions of object and its pose from a single image of perspective projection taken by a camera and the problem of recovering 3D models from three vanishing points of box scene. Our approach is to compute only three vanishing points without this information such as the focal length, rotation matrix, and translation from images in the case of perspective projection. We assume that the object can be modeled as a linear function of a dimension vector ν. The input of reconstruction is a set of correspondences between features in the model and features in the image. To minimize each the dimensions of the parameterized models, this reconstruction of optimization can be solved by the standard nonlinear optimization techniques with a multi-start method which generates multiple starting points for the optimizer by sampling the parameter space uniformly.

  • This paper presents a generalized predictive control method based on a fuzzy neural network(FNN) model, which uses the on-line multi-step prediction, fur the intelligent control of chaotic nonlinear systems whose mathematical models are unknown. In our design method, the parameters of both predictor and controller are tuned by a simple gradient descent scheme, and the weight parameters of FNN are determined adaptively during the operation of the system. In order to design a generalized predictive controller effectively, this paper describes computing procedure for each of the two important parameters. Also, we introduce a projection matrix to determine the control input, which deceases the control performance function very rapidly. Finally, in order to evaluate the performance of our controller, the proposed method is applied to the Doffing and Henon systems, which are two representative continuous-time and discrete-time chaotic nonlinear systems, res reactively.

투사 및 역투사 방법에 따른 컴퓨터단층촬영 영상 비교 (Comparison Study on Projection and Backprojection Methods for CT Simulation)

  • 컴퓨터단층촬영에서 영상 재구성은 가장 중요한 과정 중 하나다. 그 중에서도 빠른 주사시간과 낮은 조사량을 위하여 반복적 재구성(iterative reconstruction)은 점점 중요시 되고 있다. 그리고 이러한 반복적 재구성을 적용하기 위해서 투사 및 역투사 과정은 필수적인 과정이 된다. 그로 인하여 최근 distance-driven approach가 투사 및 역투사 방법으로 제안되었고 주목받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이 distance-driven approach의 특성을 이해하기 위한 여러 가지 시뮬레이션을 수행하였고 다른 두 가지의 투사 및 역투사 방법과 비교하였다. 우선, 정사각형 팬텀을 이용하여 한 각도에서 투사 및 역투사를 통한 기본적인 특성을 비교 및 분석하였다. 그 후, Shepp-Logan 팬텀을 이용하여 세 가지 투사 및 역투사 방법이 최종 재구성 영상화질에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 영상재구성법은 여과 후 역투사와 반복적 재구성(SART)의 두 가지 방법에 대하여 각각 세 가지 투사 및 역투사를 적용하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 distance-driven approach는 투사 및 역투사시 최소의 아티팩트가 생가는 것을 정사각형 팬텀 시뮬레이션을 통해 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 이를 이용하여 Shepp-Logan 팬텀의 영상재구성 결과에 적용한 결과 여과 후 역투사와와 반복적 재구성 두 가지 방법 모두에서 distance-driven approach를 통한 재구성영상의 화질이 다른 방법에 비하여 가장 우수함을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구를 통해서 distance-driven approach의 투사 및 역투사의 성능을 비교 분석 확인하였다.

도로표지판 인식을 위한 사영 변환을 이용한 왜곡된 표지판의 기하교정 (Geometrical Reorientation of Distorted Road Sign using Projection Transformation for Road Sign Recognition)

  • In this paper, we describe the reorientation method of distorted road sign by using projection transformation for improving recognition rate of road sign. RSR (Road Sign Recognition) is one of the most important topics for implementing driver assistance in intelligent transportation systems using pattern recognition and vision technology. The RS (Road Sign) includes direction of road or place name, and intersection for obtaining the road information. We acquire input images from mounted camera on vehicle. However, the road signs are often appeared with rotation, skew, and distortion by perspective camera. In order to obtain the correct road sign overcoming these problems, projection transformation is used to transform from 4 points of image coordinate to 4 points of world coordinate. The 4 vertices points are obtained using the trajectory as the distance from the mass center to the boundary of the object. Then, the candidate areas of road sign are transformed from distorted image by using homography transformation matrix. Internal information of reoriented road signs is segmented with arrow and the corresponding indicated place name. Arrow area is the largest labeled one. Also, the number of group of place names equals to that of arrow heads. Characters of the road sign are segmented by using vertical and horizontal histograms, and each character is recognized by using SAD (Sum of Absolute Difference). From the experiments, the proposed method has shown the higher recognition results than the image without reorientation.

인라이어 분포를 이용한 전방향 카메라의 보정 (Calibration of Omnidirectional Camera by Considering Inlier Distribution)

  • 넓은 시야각을 갖는 전방향(omnidirectional) 카메라 시스템은 적은 수의 영상으로도 주변 장면에 대해 많은 정보를 취득할 수 있는 장점으로 감시, 3차원 해석 등의 분야에 널리 응용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 어안(fisheye) 렌즈를 이용한 전방향 카메라로 입력된 영상으로부터 카메라의 이동 및 회전 파라미터를 자동으로 추정하는 새로운 자동보정 알고리즘이 제안되었다. 먼저, 카메라 위치를 임의의 각 도로 변환하여 얻어진 영상을 이용해 일차 매개변수로 표현된 카메라의 사영(projection)모델을 추정한다. 그리고 이후 다양하게 변환되는 카메라의 위치에 따라 에센셜(essential) 행렬을 구하며, 이 과정에서 대상 영상으로부터 적합한 인라이어(inlier) 집합을 구하기 위해 특징점이 영역 내에 분포 정도를 반영하는 표준편차(standard deviation)를 정량적(quantitative) 기준으로 이용한다. 다양한 실험을 통해 제안된 알고리즘이 전방향 카메라의 사영 모델과 회전, 이동 등의 변환 파라미터를 정확하게 추정함을 확인하였다.

A PROJECTION ALGORITHM FOR SYMMETRIC EIGENVALUE PROBLEMS

  • We introduce a new projector for accelerating convergence of a symmetric eigenvalue problem Ax = x, and devise a power/Lanczos hybrid algorithm. Acceleration can be achieved by removing the hard-to-annihilate nonsolution eigencomponents corresponding to the widespread eigenvalues with modulus close to 1, by estimating them accurately using the Lanczos method. However, the additional Lanczos results can be obtained without expensive matrix-vector multiplications but a very small amount of extra work, by utilizing simple power-Lanczos interconversion algorithms suggested. Numerical experiments are given at the end.

  • We define a crossing of a link without referring to a specific projection of the link and describe a construction of a non-normalized Alexander polynomial associated to collections of such crossings of oriented links under an equivalence relation, called homology relation. The polynomial is computed from a special Seifert surface of the link. We prove that the polynomial is well-defined for the homology equivalence classes, investigate its relationship with the combinatorially defined Alexander polynomials and study some of its properties.

  • A simplified pole-placement design method is developed by analysing dynamic characteristics of the switching dynamics. Unlike the design procedure of conventional pole-placement, in the proposed method, overall state-space is directly decomposed into two invariant subspaces by the projection operator which is defined in the equivalent system, and then the closed-loop poles are assigned to each subspace independently. Hence, computations for state-feedback gain matrix are easy and simple.

  • For on-line ARMA spectral estimation, the fast transversal filter algorithm of extended least squares method(ETS FTF) is presented. The projection operator, a key tool for geometric approach, is used in the derivation of the algorithm. ELS FTF is a fast time update recursion which is based on the fact that the correlation matrix of ARMA model satisfies the shift invariance property in each block, and thus it takes 10N+31 MADPR.
