자원관리형 반구형 새우통발의 형상 변화에 따른 유체저항 특성과 수중안정성 (On the hydrodynamic resistance and stabilization of the coonstripe shrimp pot to reduce catch of a small size shrimp)

  • For the optimal design of a shrimp pot to control the catch size and to reduce catch the small size shrimp, tank experiments were carried out to study the pot stability under water. Tank experiments were carried out to measure the drag with 4 kinds of model pots that have 50% selection on the individual of 25mm carapace length. The drag of each pot was measured every 10 times with changing the current speeds from 0.1m/s to 0.7m/s in 0.1m/s intervals and the pot attack angle from $0^{\circ}$ to $90^{\circ}$ in $15^{\circ}$ interval in a flume tank. The relation between the current speed and drag was presented. The stability of pot was estimated using the drag data and the friction data of Kim et al. (2008b). The results showed that, the drag was shown lower as small as the projected area of pot depending on the current speeds and angles. The model pots were showed to slide on the seabed in case of rock at the current speeds 0.35-0.38m/s and the possibility of turn over at the current speeds 0.77-0.89m/s. In conclusion, the stability of a shrimp pot showed more stable as the pot of the lower the height and the smaller projected area on current.

단순만곡형과 슈퍼-V형 전개판의 유체역학적 성능에 관한 모형실험 (A Model Experiment on the Hydrodynamic Characteristics of the Simple Camber and the Super-V Otter Board)

  • 단순만곡형과 Super-V형 전개판의 성능을 비교하기 위하여 모형실험을 실시하였다. 모형전개판은 두께 1mm되는 철판으로써 제작하였으며, 단순만곡형은 만곡도 $12\%$, 평면투영면적 $432cm^2$되게, Super V형은 횡단면의 양곡도가 어디서나 $12\%$되고 평면 투영면적은 $436cm^2$되게 하였다. 실험은 측정의 결과, 단순만곡형은 최대 유교진행각도가 $25^{\circ}$이고, 그 때의 전개력계수는 1.47, 항력계수는 0.42이며, Super-V형은 그것이 각각 $20^{\circ},\;1.40,\;0.40$으로서 유체역학적성능은 단순만곡형이 다소 우수하다고 판단된다.

아스팔트용 고강도 앵커시스템의 인발강도식 검토에 관한 기초적 연구 (A Fundamental Study on the Pullout Strength Equation of High Strength Anchor for Asphalt Pavement)

  • 인장하중을 받는 아스팔트 도로용 고강도 앵커의 강도특성에 관한 기초 성능을 규명하기 위해 앵커 매립깊이, 포장두께, 앵커 직경, 앵커 종류, 실험 온도, 에폭시 종류, 그룹인발 수량 등을 실험변수로 하여 정적 인발실험을 실시하고, 아스팔트 앵커의 인발강도에 대하여 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 아스팔트 앵커의 강재강도는 기존 콘크리트 앵커의 강재강도식을 적용하면 1.08배 이상의 안전율을 확보할 수 있으므로 콘크리트 앵커 강재강도식을 사용하여도 무관한 것으로 나타났다. 아스팔트 앵커의 실험을 통해 얻은 인발하중을 제안식과 비교하면 약 ${\pm}10%$ 이내의 오차로 근사치를 나타내고 있다. 이로부터 아스팔트 앵커의 경우에도 콘크리트 앵커와 동일한 투영면적의 비가 성립될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

기후변화에 따른 송악의 잠재서식지 분포 변화 예측 (Potential Impact of Climate Change on Distribution of Hedera rhombea in the Korean Peninsula)

  • We projected the distribution of Hedera rhombea, an evergreen broad-leaved climbing plant, under current climate conditions and predicted its future distributions under global warming. Inaddition, weexplained model uncertainty by employing 9 single Species Distribution model (SDM)s to model the distribution of Hedera rhombea. 9 single SDMs were constructed with 736 presence/absence data and 3 temperature and 3 precipitation data. Uncertainty of each SDM was assessed with TSS (Ture Skill Statistics) and AUC (the Area under the curve) value of ROC (receiver operating characteristic) analyses. To reduce model uncertainty, we combined 9 single SDMs weighted by TSS and resulted in an ensemble forecast, a TSS weighted ensemble. We predicted future distributions of Hedera rhombea under future climate conditions for the period of 2050 (2040~2060), which were estimated with HadGEM2-AO. RF (Random Forest), GBM (Generalized Boosted Model) and TSS weighted ensemble model showed higher prediction accuracies (AUC > 0.95, TSS > 0.80) than other SDMs. Based on the projections of TSS weighted ensemble, potential habitats under current climate conditions showed a discrepancy with actual habitats, especially in the northern distribution limit. The observed northern boundary of Hedera rhombea is Ulsan in the eastern Korean Peninsula, but the projected limit was eastern coast of Gangwon province. Geomorphological conditions and the dispersal limitations mediated by birds, the lack of bird habitats at eastern coast of Gangwon Province, account for such discrepancy. In general, potential habitats of Hedera rhombea expanded under future climate conditions, but the extent of expansions depend on RCP scenarios. Potential Habitat of Hedera rhombea expanded into Jeolla-inland area under RCP 4.5, and into Chungnam and Wonsan under RCP 8.5. Our results would be fundamental information for understanding the potential effects of climate change on the distribution of Hedera rhombea.

Feasibility of seed bank for restoration of salt marsh: a case study around the Gwangyang Bay, southern Korea

  • Salt marsh is an important transitional zone among terrestrial, riverine, and marine ecosystems and is a productive habitat that interacts extensively with adjacent landscape elements of estuarine and coastal ecosystems. Nowadays, in addition to various human activities, a variety of natural processes induce changes in salt marshes. This study aims to provide background information to restore disturbed salt marshes and to propose their ecological restoration using seed banks. The study area is a prepared area for the Gwangyang Container Port located in the southern Korea. This area was formed by accumulating mud soils dredged from the bottom of the forward sea. This land was created in a serial process of preparing the Gwangyang container port and the salt marsh was passively restored by seeds buried in mud soil dredged from seabed. As a result of stand ordination based on vegetation data collected from the land, stands were arranged according to tolerance to salinity in the order of $Suaeda$ $maritima$, $Salicornia$ $europaea$, and $Phragmites$ $communis$ communities on the Axis 1. Landscape structure of the projected area was analyzed as well. Edges of the projected area were divided from the marginal waterway by the dike. Four types of vegetation appeared on the dike: $Alnus$ $firma$ plantation, $Robinia$ $pseudoacacia$ plantation, $Lespedeza$ $cyrtobotrya$ plantation, and grassland. In the more internal areas, two types of vegetation sequences appeared: $Aster$ $tripolium$ community-$Suaeda$ $glauca$ community-$Salicornia$ $europaea$ community sequence and $Aster$ $tripolium$ community-$Suaeda$ $maritima$ community-$S.$ $europaea$ community sequence. Mixed community showed the highest species diversity (H' = 0.86) and $S.$ $europaea$ community showed the lowest (H' = 0.0). Evenness is the highest in Mixed community (J' = 2.26) and the lowest in $S.$ $maritime-S.$ $europaea$ community (J' = 0.0). Several plant communities were successfully established on the land created by mud soil dredged from the bottom of Gwangyang Bay. Moreover, community diversity in this area approached a similar level with those from other studies involving natural salt marshes. Therefore, restoration effect based on community diversity obtained in our study can be evaluated as a successful achievement. In this respect, although most salt marshes in Korea and other places worldwide have been destroyed or disturbed by excessive land use, feasibility of seed bank as a restoration tool is greatly expected.

이동 프로젝터 투사영역의 폐회로 기반 위치추적에 의한 인터랙티브 투사 (Interactive Projection by Closed-loop based Position Tracking of Projected Area for Portable Projector)

  • 본 연구에서는 영상을 대형으로 디스플레이 함과 동시에 사용자가 보다 세밀하게 관찰하고자하는 관심영역을 이동 프로젝터로 투사함으로써 개선된 해상도와 밝기로 디스플레이 하는 인터랙티브 투사 기법을 제안한다. 사용자는 이동 프로젝터를 들고 움직이며 관심영역의 위치를 변경하게 되는데 이 때 적절히 투사영상을 업데이트하기 위해 폐회로(closed-loop) 기반 추적 방법을 제안한다. 먼저 대형 디스플레이 영상에 이동 프로젝터의 위치를 나타내는 표시자를 삽입하고 이를 이동 프로젝터에 부착된 카메라로 획득한 연속영상에서 추출한다. 표시자의 중심이 항상 카메라 영상의 중심과 일치하도록 하는 제약조건 하에서 이를 만족시키기 위해 대형 디스플레이 상에서 표시자의 위치를 지속적으로 업데이트 한다. 이렇게 계산된 표시자의 위치에 해당하는 사각형 영역을 이동 프로젝터가 투사하게 되며 이때 카메라와 이동 프로젝터 사이의 투사변환을 적용하여 와핑한다. 표시자 분할은 총 네 단계로 이루어지며 카메라 영상에 대해 HSI 기반 전처리, 직선 탐지, 사각형 조건 검사, 교차비(cross-ratio) 검사를 거쳐 최종 네 개의 코너점이 결정된다. 제안된 투사 기법을 적용하여 구현한 인터랙티브 투사 시스템은 약 24fps의 처리속도를 지원하며 사용자 평가 결과 높은 유용성을 나타냈다.

  • One of the major objectives of a transportation study is to provide the transportation networks for future years in order to accommodate the projected transport demand for the movement of passengers and goods utilizing the optimum "mix" of modes. To achieve this goal, the planning process starts with collection and analysis of data to determine the existing traffic demand and travel pattern, and to assign the future trip interchanges on th existing and planned networks to determine areas of improvements so that it can cope with increasing future traval demand. The purpose of this paper attempts to explain the public transport network formulation techniques which can be easily applied to the large urban area multi modal public transport system.

촬상단면내의 MRI 체동 아티팩트의 제거 (Cancellation of MRI Motion Artifact in Image Plane)

  • In this work, a new algorithm for canceling MRI artifact in the image plane is presented. In the conventional approach, the motions in the X(readout) direction and Y(the phase encoding) direction are estimated simultaneously. However, the feature of each X and Y directional motion is different. First, we notice that the X directional motion corresponds to a shift of the X directional spectrum of the MRI signal, and the non zero area of the spectrum just corresponds to X axis projected area of the density function. So the motion is estimated by tracing the edges of the spectrum, and the X directional motion is canceled by shifting the spectrum in inverse direction. Next, the Y directional motion is canceled using a new constraint, with which the motion component and the true image component can be separated. This algorithm is shown to be effective by simulations.

  • In this study, a new algorithm for canceling MRI artifacts through the translational motion of image plane is presented. Bloating is often makes problems in a clinical diagnosis. Assuming that the head moves up and down due to breathing, rigid translational motions in only y(phase encoding axis) direction is treated. First, we notice that the x directional motion corresponds to a shift of the x directional spectrum of the MRI signal, and the non zero area of the spectrum just corresponds to x axis projected area of the density function. So the motion is estimated by tracing the edges of the spectrum, and the x directional motion is canceled by shifting the spectrum in inverse direction.   • A depth measurement system to recognize 3D shape of objects using single camera, line laser and a rotating mirror has been investigated. The camera and the light source are fixed, facing the rotating mirror. The laser light is reflected by the mirror and projected to the scene objects whose locations are to be determined. The camera detects the laser light location on object surfaces through the same mirror. The scan over the area to be measured is done by mirror rotation. The Segmentation process of object recognition is performed using the depth data of restored 3D data. The Object recognition domain can be reduced by separating area of interest objects from complex background.
