THis study examines a contingency relationship between task uncertainty and structure of project teams in conjunction with the leader-member communication patterns. Multivariate analyses are used to analyze the data from 63 R & D project teams of research laboratory in a large manufacturing corporation. Major findings for this study can be summarized as follows. First, project teams with an organic structure are found to yield high performance when task uncertainty is high, while project teams with a mechanistic structure achieve high performance when their tasks are relatively certain. Second, patterns of leader-member comunication are significantly associated with both task uncertainty and structural characteristics of project teams. This implies that leaders of project teams communicate with their members in more conslutative manner when their tasks are uncertain or when their team structure exhibits organic characteristics. Finally, task uncertainty playus a significant moderating role in the relationship between consultative communication patterns and performance of project teams. Based upon these findings, this study offers several theoretical, practical, and methodological implications.

Cost management always being the matters for project manager as well as other entities involved the construction projects. Vietnam is emerging country, many construction works were carried out and lot of construction projects will be developed in the near future with a huge investment capital come from outside and inside Vietnam. In recent years, international project management firms enter the Vietnam construction market, some issues emerged need to be solved. In which cost and schedule of the construction project was put in a thoroughly consider of not only project management team but also stakeholders. The research attempts to identify and assess the relationship of factors affecting the construction cost in construction phase in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Five main factor groups Owners/clients; Consultants; Contractors; Resource and Other were identified to propose the solution for cost management.

<유교, 2500년의 여행> 4부작, <차마고도> 6부작, <누들로드> 7부작, <인간의 땅> 5부작은 주제가 각각 다르지만 공통적으로 아시아에서 소재를 찾아 만든 다큐멘터리 프로그램이다. KBS '인사이트아시아'팀에서 제작한 이들 다큐멘터리는 국내와 해외에서 유수한 프로그램 상을 수상하며 작품성과 제작능력을 인정받았다. 인사이트아시아는 KBS 다큐멘터리의 품질을 세계적 수준으로 끌어올리고자 기획한 프로젝트였다. 5년 이내에 KBS 다큐멘터리를 영국의 BBC나 미국의 내셔널지오그래픽 다큐멘터리 못지않게 만들겠다는 목표를 세웠다. 한때 활발했지만 정체하고 있던 드라마 한류를 대신하여 다큐멘터리 부문을 KBS의 미래 동력으로 키운다는 실행계획이 뒤따랐다. 적지 않은 성과를 내며 진행되던 인사이트아시아 프로젝트는 경영진이 교체되면서 4년을 넘기지 못하고 중단되었다. 이후 KBS에서 인사이트아시아에 관한 심도 있는 논의나 평가가 이루어지지 않았다. 이 연구는 KBS 다큐멘터리의 세계화 프로젝트로서 마련된 인사이트아시아의 추진 과정과 의미를 밝히고자 했다. 이를 위해 프로젝트에 참여한 프로듀서들의 인터뷰를 활용하였다.

The success of a building design team is achieved as a result of a combination of multiple events/factors and interactions, and has a great impact on the quality of the building construction process. While most of previous studies have focused on quality of the construction process, the success of a design team has not been completely investigated. This paper presents the critical factors that impact the success of a building design team and describes an assessment tool to measure the successful performance of the design team with respect to the critical factors. The development of the assessment tool employs the concept of quality function deployment (QFD), a technique to measure the service quality of an organization.

Purpose: The results of prior studies investigating main effects between diversity and team performance are neither clear nor consistent. This study seeks to provide more evidence for a direct link between these two. The present study also attempts to close a gap in the literature by examining conflict as a moderator of the relationship between diversity and team performance. Methods: As suggested by Williams and O'Reilly(1998), this study examines the effects of perception levels of three specific types of diversity (social category diversity, value diversity, and informational diversity) and two contextual moderators (task conflict and relationship conflict) on team performance. Results: The results show that perception levels of all three types of diversity are significantly related to team performance in the current sample of 313. Results also indicate that relationship conflict significantly interacted with the perception levels of diversity in relating to team performance. Results for task conflict, however, fails to support the hypothesis. Conclusion: The results suggest that the effects of diversity on team functioning depend on how diversity is perceived by team members, rather than actual diversity seen by team members. Theoretical and practical implications are reviewed, and limitations of the study and suggestions for future research are addressed.
