  • QRS detection of ECG is the most popular and easy way to detect cardiac-disease. But it is difficult to analyze the ECG signal because of various noise types. Also in the healthcare system that must continuously monitor people's situation, it is necessary to process ECG signal in realtime. In other words, the design of algorithm that exactly detects QRS wave using minimal computation and classifies PVC by analyzing the persons's physical condition and/or environment is needed. Thus, efficient QRS detection and PVC classification based on profiling method is presented in this paper. For this purpose, we detected QRS through the preprocessing method using morphological filter, adaptive threshold, and window. Also, we applied profiling method to classify each patient's normal cardiac behavior through hash function. The performance of R wave detection, normal beat and PVC classification is evaluated by using MIT-BIH arrhythmia database. The achieved scores indicate the average of 99.77% in R wave detection and the rate of 0.65% in normal beat classification error and 93.29% in PVC classification.

  • This study is to establish the varietal discrimination based on DNA profiling of different varieties of rice. We examined the genetic distance among Korean rice varieties using allele frequencies and a genetic diversity analysis with Simple Sequence Repeats (SSRs) markers. The analysis of the genetic diversity and genetic relationships of 243 Korean rice varieties was varied out using 20 SSRs markers. A total of 268 alleles were detected, ranging from 6 to 32, with an average of 13.45 alleles per locus, and and average of gene diversity (GD) of 0.556. Seven SSR markers were selected as key markers for discrimination among the Korean rice varieties. Concerning the results, 243 varieties (100%) were discriminated among by using acrylamide gel and fragment analyzer-based markers. In conclusion, this study provides useful basic data that can be utilized concerning Korean rice varieties breeding and development. In addition, we will have to manage and conserve as a valuable genetic resource, without losing the diversity of Korean rice varieties.

  • Compared to conventional high resolution acoustic profiling, ultra high resolution shallow acoustic profiling is limited in penetration, yet it provides resolution suitable for detailed seabed investigation in the shallow waters. Possible applications include search of buried pipeline, ship wrecks, and other artificial objects through the detailed mapping of thickness and structure of the upper sedimentary layers. In this study, contaminated sediments were discriminated by the correlation of ultra high resolution profiles with geologic data. In addition, the burial depth of submarine cable was measured by the interpretation of acoustic anomalies in the profiles.

  • The color reproduction of digital still camera does not, in general, match those of the final prints. Because color gamut of these devices is different, it is therefore necessary to take account of a way to match. The way uses the optimized profile to print an image. This paper proposed a way to create the input profile of digital still camera for standardization printing process. The results of proposed way showed that for input profiles equivalent, good results relatively. In this paper, an experiment was done where the illumination sources used as the standard illumination 5200K and illuminated at a $45^{\circ}$ angle in the best illumination efficiently. The white balance was in mode 'custom': aperture F11, exposure time 1/60s, ISO50, focal length 80mm. The images were exported and saved as 16bit RGB tiff(AdobeRGB, sRGB, ProphotoRGB) images. To do the test, the RGB values of the RGB tiff images are processed through the ICC input profile to arrive at processed $CIEL^*a^*b^*$ values. A profiling tool such as ProfileMaker 5.0 and Monacoprofile 4.8 are used to do this. The processed CIEL*a*b* values are compared to the reference CIEL*a*b* values and these two values are used to calculate a ${\Delta}E$.

  • In the massive online fashion market, it is not easy for consumers to find the fashion style they want by keyword search for their preferred style. It can be resolved into consumer needs based fashion recommendation. Most of the existing online shopping sites have collected cumtomer's preference style using the online quastionnair. In this paper, we propose a simple but effective novel model that resolve the traditional method in fashion profiling for consumer's preference style and needs using implicit profiling method. In addition, we proposed a learning model that reflects the characteristics of the images itself through the deep learning-based intelligent preferred fashion model learned from the collected data. We show that the proposed model gave meaningful results through the qualitative evaluation.

  • Insects affect crop harvest yield and quality, making plant response mechanisms to insect herbivores a heavily studied topic. However, analysis of plant responses to honeybees is rare. In this study, comprehensive metabolic profiling of Arabidopsis thaliana exposed to honeybees was performed to investigate which metabolites were changed by the insect. A total of 85 metabolites-including chlorophylls, carotenoids, glucosinolates, policosanols, tocopherols, phytosterols, β-amyrin, amino acids, organic acids, sugars, and starch-were identified using high performance liquid chromatography, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, and gas chromatography-time-of-flight mass spectrometry. The metabolite profiling analysis of Arabidopsis exposed to honeybees showed higher levels of stress-related metabolites. The levels of glucosinolates (glucoraphanin, 4-methoxyglucobrassicin), policosanols (eicosanol, docosanol, tricosanol, tetracosanol), tocopherols (β-tocopherol, γ-tocopherol), putrescine, lysine, and sugars (arabinose, fructose, glucose, mannitol, mannose, raffinose) in Arabidopsis exposed to honeybees were higher than those in unexposed Arabidopsis. Glucosinolates act as defensive compounds against herbivores; policosanols are components of plant waxes; tocopherols act as an antioxidant; and putrescine, lysine, and sugars contribute to stress regulation. Our results suggest that Arabidopsis perceives honeybees as a stress and changes its metabolites to overcome the stress. This is the first step to determining how Arabidopsis reacts to exposure to honeybees.

  • With the development of internet technology, a lot of content is produced, and the demand for it is increasing. Accordingly, the number of contents in circulation is increasing, while the number of distributing illegal copies that infringe on copyright is also increasing. The Korea Copyright Protection Agency operates a illegal content obstruction program based on substring matching, and it is difficult to accurately search because a large number of noises are inserted to bypass this. Recently, researches using natural language processing and AI deep learning technologies to remove noise and various blockchain technologies for copyright protection are being studied, but there are limitations. In this paper, noise is removed from data collected online, and keyword-based illegal copies are searched. In addition, the same heavy uploader is estimated through profiling analysis for heavy uploaders. In the future, it is expected that copyright damage will be minimized if the illegal copy search technology and blocking and response technology are combined based on the results of profiling analysis for heavy uploaders.

  • Pectin methylesterase (PME) plays an important role in vegetative and reproductive development and biotic/abiotic stress responses by regulating the degree of methyl-esterification of pectic polysaccharides in the plant cell wall. PMEs are encoded by a large multigene family in higher land plant genomes. In general, the expression of plant PME genes shows tissue- or cell-specific patterns and is induced by endogenous and exogenous stimuli. In this study, we identified PME multigene family members (CsPMEs) from the sweet orange genome and report detailed molecular characterization and expression profiling in different citrus tissues and two fruit developmental stages. We also discussed the possible functional roles of some CsPME genes by comparing them with the known functions of PMEs from other plant species. We identified 48 CsPME genes from the citrus genome. A phylogenetic tree analysis revealed that the identified CsPMEs were divided into two groups/types. Some CsPMEs showed very close phylogenetic relationships with the PMEs whose functions were formerly addressed in Arabidopsis, tomato, and maize. Expression profiling showed that some CsPME genes are highly or specifically expressed in the leaf, root, flower, or fruit. Based on the phylogenetic relationships and gene expression profiling results, we suggest that some CsPMEs could play functional roles in pollen development, pollen tube growth, cross incompatibility, root development, embryo/seed development, stomata movement, and biotic/abiotic stress responses. Our results shed light on the biological roles of individual CsPME isoforms and contribute to the search for genetic variations in citrus genetic resources.

  • In the study herein, the fatigue test was conducted on the fillet welds of the load carrying cruciform joint, which is frequently used in the steel structures such as bridges, ships, etc. In addition, the fatigue strength was analyzed with respect to the different post-weld treatment. The treatment methods used include Toe Grinding, TIG Dressing, and Weld Profiling. The fatigue test was under constant amplitude with repeated load for these test specimens. In the load carrying full penetration fillet welded joints, regardless the conduction of the post-weld treatment or not, they all secured the fatigue strength of category "F", which exceeds the fatigue design specifications of BS Code. In the comparison of the fatigue strength upon the post-weld treatment, the fatigue strength tends to increase according to the order: Toe Grinding, TIG Dressing, and Weld Profiling.
