A Study on Farm Women's Stress in Productive Activity (농초여성의 생산활동 스트레스에 관한연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to show farm women's stress under productive activity role multiple overload through family characteristic (pattern and number) and characteristic(type working time and involvement proportion) of productive activity. The outline of the study is as follow; 1. Stress by pattern and number of a family is highest in a four generation family and increases according as the number of the family increases. 2. The characteristic of productive activity : 1) Stress based on type of productive activity is highest in Type III of the most multiple overload roles. 2) in light of stress based working time area of household task activity is in inverse proportion to working time but area of farming and wage earning activity are approximately in direct proportion to it. The two-way ANOVA analysis show that stress in Type I of area of household task increases but in Type IV it decreases as working time increases 3) In stress based on involvement proportion to it. The wo-way ANOVA analysis show that stress in Type I of area of household task increases but in Type IV it decreases as working time increases. 3) In stress based on involvement proportion in three as working time increases 3). In stress based on involvement proportion in three activity areas the more the involvement proportion the less of the stress : an inverse ratio.

Predicting the Changes of Yearly Productive Area Distribution for Pinus densiflora in Korea Based on Climate Change Scenarios (기후변화 시나리오에 의한 중부지방소나무의 연도별 적지분포 변화 예측)

  • This study was conducted to predict the changes of yearly productive area distribution for pinus densiflora under climate change scenario. For this, site index equations by ecoprovinces were first developed using environmental factors. Using the large data set from both a digital forest site map and a climatic map, a total of 48 environmental factors including 19 climatic variables were regressed on site index to develop site index equations. Two climate change scenarios, RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5, were then applied to the developed site index equations and the distribution of productive areas for pinus densiflora were predicted from 2020 to 2100 years in 10-year intervals. The results from this study show that the distribution of productive areas for pinus densiflora generally decreases as time passes. It was also found that the productive area distribution of Pinus densiflora is different over time under two climate change scenarios. The RCP 8.5 which is more extreme climate change scenario showed much more decreased distribution of productive areas than the RCP 4.5. It is expected that the study results on the amount and distribution of productive areas over time for pinus densiflora under climate change scenarios could provide valuable information necessary for the policies of suitable species on a site.

Vegetational Impiovement of Low Productive Grasslandby Oversowing (겉뿌림에 의한 저위생산초지의 식생개량)

  • This trial was carried out to investigate the effect of oversowing on the fodder value and the life form of standing crop in the low productive grassland with a western exposure at the Korean Native Cattle Improvement Center in Seosan. Chungnam Province. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. The inferior plant community of low productive grassland was improved to the most desirable pasture association by oversowing after herbicide application. At the experimental area most of the native grasses were not suitable for the pasture plant due to less fodder value(0-2). 2. The fodder value of standing crop in the improved grassland with 6.04(grasses: 4.72, legumes: 1.07 and herbs: 0.25) was much more increased by 108% than that of low productive grassland. 3. The life forms of plant community in the low productive grassland were composed of Hemicryptophytes of 36.29'0, Therophytes of 30.47~, Chamaephytes of 17.0% and Geophytes of 16.4%). But by oversowing after herbicide application their life forms of Hemicryptophytes increased greatly by 51.4%, on the other hand Therophytes, Chamaephytes and Geophytes were much more decreased by 25.4, 15.6 and 10.470, respectively.

A Comparative Study of Productive Activities between Middle-aged and Elderly Women (중년여성과 노년여성의 생산적 활동 특성 비교)

  • The purpose of this study was to find an appropriate approaches for successful aging adapt to Korean older women 's needs. For this purpose, this study did a comparative study between middle-aged and elderly women. Data from the third Korean longitudinal study of aging were analyzed by network analysis and statistical methods. The results were as follows. From network analysis, it was identified the participation difference of productive activities between middle-aged and elderly women according to level of education, subjective heath condition and residential area size. From the multiple regression analysis, voluntary activity, existence of spouse, residential area, family income and level of education significantly affected satisfaction of life quality in middle-aged women while family caregiving, age, religion, residential area, family income and level of education were significant in elderly women's satisfaction of life quality. Based on these results, it was suggested several implications to increase productive activities according to characteristics of Korean middle-aged and elderly women.

Estimation of Forest Productive Area of Quercus acutissima and Quercus mongolica Using Site Environmental Variables (산림 입지토양 환경요인에 의한 상수리나무와 신갈나무의 적지추정)

  • This study was conducted to estimate site productivity of Quercus acutissima and Quercus mongolica by four forest climatic zones. We used site environmental variables (28 geographical and pedological factors) and site index as a site productivity indicator from nation-wide 23,315 stands. Based on multiple regression analysis between site index and major environmental variables, the best-fit multivaliate models were made by each species and forest climatic zone. Most of site index prediction models by species were regressed with seven to eight factors, including altitude, relief, soil depth, and soil moisture etc. For those models, three evaluation statistics such as mean difference, standard deviation of difference, and standard error of difference were applied to the test data set for the validation of the results. According to the evaluation statistics, it was found that the models by climatic zones and species fitted well to the test data set with relatively low bias and variation. Also having above middle of site index range, total area of productive sites for the two Quercus spp. estimated by those models would be about 6% of total forest area. Northern temperate forest zone and central temperate forest zone had more productive area than southern temperate forest zone and warm temperate forest zone. As a result, it was concluded that the regressive prediction with site environmental variables by climatic zones and species had enough estimation capability of forest site productivity.

  • Number of dairy cow patients treated at Hyup Doug Large Animal Clinic during the year July 1,1965, through June 30, 1966, were amounted to 485 cases and the result of analysis of disease incidence during one year period were us follows; 1. In the etiologic diagnostic categories, diseases caused by static mechanical abnormality were most productive and 28.1% of all diagnoses involved in this category. 2. In the topographic diagnostic categories, 39.4% of all diagnoses involved the urogenital system and were obeserved most productive. 3. As a result of each topographic diagnostic categories were subdivided into disease entities, 13.4% of all diagnoses involved the retained placenta and this were observed most productive in the miscellaneous disease enties. Next productive diseases were miscellaneous ovarian disease (10.9%), indigestion (10.3%), mastitis (8.0%) and metritis (6.8%) chronologically.

  • Number of dairy cow patients diagnosed and treated at Hyup Dong Large Animal Clinic during the year, October 1, 1966, through September 30, 1967, were amounted to 1,119 cases and the result of analysis of disease incidence during one year period were as follow: 1. In the etiologic diagnostic categories, diseases cause by infection with lower organism were most productive and 43.3% of all diagnosis involved in this category. 2. In the topographic diagnostic categories, 37.3% of all diagnosis involved the urogenital system and were observed most productive. 3. As a result of each topographic diagnostic categories were subdivided into disease entities, 21.4% of all diagnosis involved the mastitis and this were observed most productive in the miscellaneous disease entities. Next productive disease were indigestion (11.9%), endometritis(11.5%), miscellaneousl ovarian disease(11.1%) and retained placenta(81.1%) chronologicaly.

  • The concept of "adaptability to heavy nitrogen" of rice plant was reconsidered in view of productivity with Jinheung (leading local variety) and IR667 (semi tropical variety) under the field condition. The results are as follows; 1. IR667 had higher yield and leaf area index at high nitrogen level than Jinheung. 2. IR667 increased more panicles, spikelets, filled grain ratio and grain weight by increasing nitrogen. 3. IR667 showed higher productive efficiency of grain and leaf area per unit nitrogen. 4. IR667 was higher in the productive efficiency of grain per unit leaf area. 5. IR667 appeared as panicle and spikelet number type and Jinheung as grain weight type according to yield components. 6. These results indicate that IR667 has greater productive adaptability to heavy nitrogen under the field condition.

  • In order to analyze growth and yield of rice population at the stand point of productive ecology, productive structure and growth rate of rice plants and effects of their related factors were studied. The results obtained were summarized as follows: 1. High crop growth rate was maintained throughout growing season when rice plants grew in population compared to a single rice plant. Since crop growth rate in rice stands were also higher at ripening stage, higher yields were obtained. 2. Higher crop growth rate of rice plants in population was maintained by the increase of leaf area rather than by net assimilation rate. 3. As the overgrowth of upper leaves of plant population in some rice varieties transmission of light into lower leaves was inhibited and thus most of them were eventually died before flowering. 4. In the case of rice population, the ratio of productive organ to non-productive organ, light transmission rate and nitrogen contents of active leaf blade were lower than individual rice plants under isolated condition.
