디키의 <예술제도론>의 관점에서 본 예술로서의 패션의 본질 -패션계의 구성요소를 중심으로- (Essentials of Fashion as art from the Perspective of George Dickie's Institutional Theory of Art -Focus on the Structural Elements of the Fashion World-)

  • The purpose of this study is to interpret the artistic nature of fashion from the point of view of George Dickie's Institutional theory of art, which defined art from a sociological context. Five notions to formulate the institutional definition of art were regarding the artist, work of art, public, artworld, and artworld system. These notions were applied to the fashion world, and they deduced the definitions of a fashion designer, a fashion product, a fashion consumer, and the fashion system, which indicated fashion's social status in the art system. Firstly, a fashion designer plays a collective role in the product with an understanding of the consumers, professional knowledge of the design, and knowledge of making images of fashion products. Secondly, a fashion product involves artifactuality in the form of clothes created by collaboration among producers and it is transformed into fashion by collective activity of distributors and consumers. Thirdly, a consumer is a set of people who play a leading role in the assessment and consumption of the fashion product, allow the fashion designer to read his or her taste and reflect it in the fashion product although they are not directly involved in its production. Fourthly, a fashion system is a social framework for the presentation of a fashion product by a fashion designer to a consumer, and a social institution which enables clothes to transform into fashion through design, production, display, distribution, and sales. As a result, fashion is defined as an artifact in the form of clothes created by a fashion designer and presented to a consumer by the fashion system.

22000TEU급 컨테이너선박의 메인 엔진 시동용 공기압축기의 구조 강도 해석에 관한 연구 (Analytical Study on the Structural Strength of an Air Compressor for Main Engine Starting of 22000TEU Class Container Ships)

  • The compressor is used for many fields not only in the industrial sector, but also as a general household product. The energy consumption required for the compressor operation is very large. The reciprocation compressor is widely used as an air compressor. Regarding the reciprocating air compressor, the discharge of the gas compacted by the method of compressing the gas by using the oscillation of the piston is generated by the piston reciprocation 1 church 1 number. When compressing after compressing the air by the oscillation of the piston, the marine reciprocating air compressor is the vibration generated in the compressor and surrounding structure due to the energy of the generated inertia. If the effect of these harmful elements can be reduced, it supports the service of the vessel. In addition, accidents generated by the noise of the vibration can be prevented. Therefore, in this research, firstly, the structural analysis of the piston part was performed, the safety factor in all results was drawn based upon this, and the reliability of the interpretation was examined in order to create the optimal design for the air compressor.

탄소성적표지인증 제품 중 건축자재의 인증 현황 및 탄소배출특성 분석에 관한 연구 (The Study on Certification status and Carbon Emission Characteristic of Building Products among Carbon Labeled Products)

  • The Product Carbon Footprint Labeling has been run for more than four years by the Ministry of Environment and there are number of products labeled by KEITI(Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute), as for declaring products with their carbon emission during life cycle stages. There are several categories for certifying products by the characteristics of usage. Building products which are applied to a building as combined components or elements, are classified as production goods which means that the products are chosen by a business, not by a final consumer. In this paper, current status of PCF labeling has been reviewed focused on building products and the characteristics of carbon emission by a kind of product such as interior products, window products, structural products, system products and others. Until Dec. 2013, 82 products has been labeled and it covers about 53% among labeled product goods by the certification. Among the labeled building products, interior products are main products. From the results of comparison, variations of emission amounts by products have been found and the cause of variation could be explained by the purpose and material properties of products. However, the exact reason for variations cannot be acquired because of lack of information and the short operation period of the certification program. Further studies and more products are needed to be studied and analyzed focused on the emission characteristic by each product and to suggest reduction technologies for sustainable building products.

감성평가를 이용한 웹 디자인 요소의 활용방안 (Application of the Web Design Elements using the Aesthetic Evaluation)

  • 웹사이트의 특성에 따라 요구되는 감성을 파악하고 이를 디자인에 반영할 수 있는 새로운 디자인 방법론이 요구되고 있다. 기존의 사용성 위주의 웹 디자인 방법과는 차별화 되는 이와 같은 감성 연구를 통한 디자인 방법은 웹 디자이너들에게 또 다른 유용한 지침을 제공할 것이다. 하지만 이제까지 이에 관한 연구가 충분히 이루어지지 않아 특정 감성을 유발하는 웹 디자인을 위해 디자이너들은 자신의 직감과 경험에 의존할 수밖에 없었다. 이와 같이 특정 감성을 유발하는 디자인 방법론의 개발을 위해 본 연구에서는 감성공학에서 사용되는 감성 어휘를 이용한 감성공학 1류(Nagamachi, 2002, 박경수, 2000) 방법을 웹 디자인에 적용하여 특정 감성을 사용자에게 전달하는 방법을 알아보았다. 연구를 위해서 감성을 잘 전달할 수 있는 136개의 웹사이트를 전문 웹 디자이너들의 추천을 통해 우선적으로 선정하고 실험에 사용한 감성어휘(최재호, 2001)들을 잘 나타낼 수 있다고 판단되는 22개의 웹사이트를 최종적으로 선정하여 설문조사를 통해 감성 평가를 실시하였다. 표본 웹사이트들은 디자인 요소의 활용 정도, 균형, 전체 비중, 균일성 등을 고려하여 정량적으로 다시 평가하였다. 정량적 평가와 감성평가 결과 사이의 인과관계는 회귀분석을 통해 살펴보았고 그 결과를 바탕으로 특정 감성을 유발하는 웹 디자인 방법론을 제시하였다. 본 연구에서 사용된 방법과 절차는 감성유발과 관련된 디자인방법론 개발을 위해 다른 연구에서도 적용될 수 있을 것이며 회귀분석을 통한 디자인 방법론은 실제로 웹 디자인에 활용될 수 있을 것이다.논하였다. 본 연구는 웹에서의 사용자 경험에 대한 관점을 정황적 요소로까지 확장하고 이를 체계적으로 매핑하는 실증적인 사례를 제시함으로써 웹에서의 혁신적이며 크로스 사이트, 크로스 장르적인 컨텐츠 플래닝의 가능성을 시사하는데 의의가 있다고 하겠다.y used to some of interactive storytelling through hyper text in CD-ROM and web sites.   • The purpose of this thesis is to propose a new concept of design of the 21st century, on the basis of the study on the general signification of the structures and the signs of industrial product design, by examining the difference between modern and post-modern design, which is expected to lead the users to different design practice and interpretation of it. The starting point of this study is the different styles and patterns of 'Gestalt' in the post-modern design of the late 20th century from modern design - the factor of determination in industrial product design. That is to say, unlike functional and rational styles of modern product design, the late 20th century is based upon the pluralism characterized by complexity, synthetic and decorativeness. So far, most of the previous studies on design seem to have excluded visual aspects and usability, focused only on effective communication of design phenomena. These partial studies on design, blinded by phenomenal aspects, have resulted in failure to discover a principle of fundamental system. However, design varies according to the times; and the transformation of design is reflected in Design Pragnanz to constitute a new text of design. Therefore, it can be argued that Design Pragnanz serves as an essential factor under influence of the significance of text. In this thesis, therefore, I delve into analysis of the 20th century product design, in the light of Gestalt theory and Design Pragnanz, which have been functioning as the principle of the past design. For this study, I attempted to discover the fundamental elements in modern and post-modern designs, and to examine the formal structure of product design, the users' aesthetic preference and its semantics, from the integrative viewpoint. Also, with reference to history and theory of design my emphasis is more on fundamental visual phenomena than on structural analysis or process of visualization in product design, in order to examine the formal properties of modern and post-modern designs. Firstly, In Chapter 1, 'Issues and Background of the Study', I investigated the Gestalt theory and Design Pragnanz, on the premise of formal distinction between modern and post-modern designs. These theories are founded upon the discussion on visual perception of Gestalt in Germany in 1910's, in pursuit of the principle of perception centered around visual perception of human beings. In Chapter 2, I dealt with functionalism of modern design, as an advance preparation for the further study on the product design of the late 20th century. First of all, in Chapter 2-1, I examined the tendency of modern design focused on functionalism, which can be exemplified by the famous statement 'Form follows function'. Excluding all unessential elements in design - for example, decoration, this tendency has attained the position of the international style based on the spirit of Bauhause - universality and regularity - in search of geometric order, standardization and rationalization. In Chapter 2-2, I investigated the anthropological viewpoint that modern design started representing culture in a symbolic way including overall aspects of the society - politics, economics and ethics, and its criticism on functionalist design that aesthetic value is missing in exchange of excessive simplicity in style. Moreover, I examined the pluralist phenomena in post-modern design such as kitsch, eclecticism, reactionism, hi-tech and digital design, breaking away from functionalist purism of modern design. In Chapter 3, I analyzed Gestalt Pragnanz in design in a practical way, against the background of design trends. To begin with, I selected mass product design among those for the 20th century products as a target of analysis, highlighting representative styles in each category of the products. For this analysis, I adopted the theory of J. M Lehnhardt, who gradated in percentage the aesthetic and semantic levels of Pragnantz in design expression, and that of J. K. Grutter, who expressed it in a formula of M = O : C. I also employed eight units of dichotomies, according to the G. D. Birkhoff's aesthetic criteria, for the purpose of scientific classification of the degree of order and complexity in design; and I analyzed phenomenal aspects of design form represented in each unit. For Chapter 4, I executed a questionnaire about semiological phenomena of Design Pragnanz with 28 units of antonymous adjectives, based upon the research in the previous chapter. Then, I analyzed the process of signification of Design Pragnanz, founded on this research. Furthermore, the interpretation of the analysis served as an explanation to preference, through systematic analysis of Gestalt and Design Pragnanz in product design of the late 20th century. In Chapter 5, I determined the position of Design Pragnanz by integrating the analyses of Gestalt and Pragnanz in modern and post-modern designs In this process, 1 revealed the difference of each Design Pragnanz in formal respect, in order to suggest a vision of the future as a result, which will provide systemic and structural stimulation to current design.

프리캐스트 콘크리트 제품의 공장 인증 제도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Plant Certification Program for Precast Concrete Products)

  • 1994년 성수대교 붕괴사고 이후 강구조물의 품질 관리를 위해 철강구조물제작공장 인증제도가 건설기술관리법에 도입되어 법정임의 인증제도로 운영되고 있다. 그러나 콘크리트 부재의 공장 생산 방식인 PC (Precast Concrete)에 대해 국가적인 품질인증 체계는 마련되어 있지 않다. 이에 건축 구조용 PC를 대상으로 적절한 품질인증제도 도입을 위해 북미, 유럽, 일본 등의 PC 품질인증제도를 조사하였다. 미에서 PC 공장인증제도를 운영하고 있는 곳은 PCI, NPCA, CPCI 등이 있다. 유럽에서 PC 제품을 판매하기 위해서는 CPR 305/2011을 따르도록 법으로 정해져 PC 제품을 포함한 모든 건설 제품은 2013년 7월부터 CE 마크를 의무적으로 부착해야 한다. 일본의 경우 토목용 PC 제품은 제품인증인 JIS 마크 인증을 받도록 되어 있고 건축 구조용 PC를 생산하는 공장은 일본 프리패브협회의 심사를 받고 있다. 이런 조사 결과에 근거하여 국내 인증 체계에 부합될 수 있도록 건축 구조용 PC 제품의 인증제도의 도입 방향을 이 논문에 제시하였다.

텍스트 의사소통과 그 모델 (Textual communication and its model)

  • This article aims to establish the model of textual communication and its schema. To do this, we must identify the characteristics of textual communication, different from that of the oral, because the model of communication is usually done to show the structure of oral communication. Moreover, we must clarify the status text as '${\acute{e}}nonc{\acute{e}}$', that is to say product of the act of enunciation. The study of the text has now reached to achieve from the perspective of pragmatics, overcoming the structural point of view that dominates long text linguistics. And now, we need to enrich the theoretical basis of the pragmatics of text. Then the search of elements necessary to develop the model and pattern of textual communication can help to establish the elements used to form the theoretical basis. To clarify the characteristics of textual communication, we needed to explain the present communication by the position of reader and the point of view of textual reference. The schema that we proposed is not perfect, but there are still issues to think to complete it. For example, one must take into account the plurality of readers and reflect the relationship between interpretive texts in this schema, etc. This kind of problem is not only required to complete the schema but also to strengthen the basis of the theory of textual communication and the pragmatics of text.

제품군을 형성하고 있는 의자디자인의 특성에 관한 연구 - 모더니즘부터 현대까지 나타난 북유럽의 의자디자인을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Characteristics of Chair Design with a Concept of Ranges - Focused on Scandinavian Chair Design from Modern to Contemporary -)

  • Chair design in recent international furniture exhibitions showed that chair products were varied with several elements in simple and basic shapes. Likewise, the project supposedly referred to a group that could be classified as a design with a concept of ranges, and if the design were aimed at mass production, those group concept could be even stronger in the fields of design. Based on many modern and contemporary examples of mass-produced chairs from three Scandinavian countries namely Denmark, Sweden, and Finland, this study was aimed at discovering new points of view, characteristics, and chair design concerning dominant products. The six companies and three artists were selected as this research's samples. The companies have to have more than four kinds of ranges, and they were Fritz Hansen, Bl Station, K llemo, Lammhults, Artek, and Vivero. We have chosen the 3 artists such as Hans J. Wegner, Bruno Mathsson, and Alvar Aalto who have repeatedly used their own motives to reflect their national identities in various works. The method of the research was the analysis of the current situations of chair designs' ranges. The results of the analysis on the product group for each of the six selected companies show the following variables: 1)Formative characteristics 2)Structural characteristics 3)Emotional characteristics. The artists' groups have symbolically expressed personal identities, and consequently, national identities. Finally, the variation in the simple elements of chair design made the identification of product groups ultimately easier, as the expressions and applications of their identities were used within the scope of mass products in various designs.

집성재를 이용한 막구조물의 시공 및 설계 (Membrane Structural Design and Construction by Using Glued Laminated Timber)

  • 목재자원을 효율적으로 활용하기 위한 목적으로 개발된 공학목재는 기존에 구조용으로 사용되어 오던 목재제품에 비해 강도가 높으면서도 안정적인 장점을 가지고 있다. 또한 설계 상세에 따라 부재를 주문 제작이 가능하며, 대규모 건축물에도 주요 구조체로 사용되어져 오고 있다. 장 스팬이 요구되는 재료로 구조용 집성재나 목재 I형장선, 단판적층재(LVL) 등을 활용하여 사용되고 있다. 본 프로젝트는 공학목재 중에서 집성재 및 막재를 이용한 구조 시스템으로, 강원도 뿌리기념관 공원공사 중 "야외무대 지붕공사"로 구조 재료, 구조설계 및 시공에 관한 내용으로 구성되어 있다. 지붕 구조재는 PVF/PFLT(테드라 필름코팅) 소재의 막이 사용되었다. 기둥 및 경사 부재는 강재(SS400)를 사용하였고, 캔틸레버 보 부재는 비대칭 구성 집성재(10S-28B)를 이용하였다.

딸기패키지 구성요소(형태, 소재, 디자인) 조사 분석 및 IPA MAP분석을 통한 개선점 연구 (A Study on the Points of Improvement through the Survey Analysis of Strawberry Package Elements (Shape, Material, Design) and IPA MAP Analysis)

  • 오늘날 유통구조의 변화는 오프라인에서 온라인으로 급격하게 수요가 변화해 가고 있다. 이러한 현상은 상품을 편리하게 구입하고자 하는 소비자의 심리가 반영되어 있다고 할 수 있다. 농산물 역시 내용물을 보호하려는 안전성과 소비자들에게 신뢰를 줄 수 있는 브랜드 및 디자인이 어느때보다 중요하게 인식되어지고 있다. 특히, 딸기 과채류는 다른 과채류에 비해 껍질이 얇아서 약한 충격과 흔들림에도 상품의 품질이 떨어지기 때문에 패키지의 지기구조나 소재에 안정성 영향을 많이 받는다. 또한, 직거래 유통이 많은 과채류다보니 생산농가의 열약한 환경 때문에 패키지디자인이 다른 상품에 비해 경쟁력이 떨어지는 것이 현실이다. 즉, 딸기 수요가 날로 증가하는데 비해 딸기패키지는 생산자와 소비자 욕구에 충족하지 못한다는 점이다. 딸기판매에 경쟁력 강화를 위해서는 패키지개발의 기초연구가 시급한 실정이다. 패키지요소(형태, 소재, 디자인) 조사 분석을 통하여 패키지의 문제점을 파악하고, IPA MAP(중요도, 만족도)분석을 통하여 생산자와 소비지가 추구하는 개선점을 파악하고자 한다.
