In analyzing time series, estimating the level or the current mean of the process plays an important role in understanding its structure and in being able to make forecasts. The studies the class of time series models where the level of the process is assumed to follow a random walk and the deviation from the level follow an ARMA process. The estimation and forecasting problem in a Bayesian framework and uses the Kalman filter to obtain forecasts based on estimates of level. In the analysis of time series, we usually make the assumption that the time series is generated by one model. However, in many situations the time series undergoes a structural change at one point in time. For example there may be a change in the distribution of random variables or in parameter values. Another example occurs when the level of the process changes abruptly at one period. In order to study such problems, the assumption that level follows a random walk process is relaxed to include a major level change at a particular point in time. The major level change is detected by examining the likelihood raio under a null hypothesis of no change and an alternative hypothesis of a major level change. The author proposes a method for estimation the size of the level change by adding one state variable to the state space model of the original Kalman filter. Detailed theoretical and numerical results are obtained for th first order autoregressive process wirth level changes.

In a make-to-order manufacturing environment, the manufacturer's quotation information is important information used as basic information for bidding, receiving orders, and producing products in response to various customer demands. This quotation information is changed according to various factors such as customer demands, changes in product production environment, changes in drawing information of technical partners, and technological improvement of products. Due to this change, various changes occur in the quotation information that the manufacturer is preparing to reflect the customer's requirements. The change of quotation information according to these various change factors puts a lot of burden on the quotation management work from the standpoint of a make-to-order manufacturing company. In particular, the change of quotation information due to the change factors of quotation is inevitable and frequently occurs due to the requirements of the customer in the customer-oriented make-to-order production environment. In this paper, we propose a quotation change process based on the quotation creation process and propose a consistent and efficient quotation change processing method. To this end, the factors causing the change of quotation were defined, and the types of changes for each factor were defined. And it shows the procedure of applying the quotation change process to the quotation management system through the cases of each cause of the quotation change. In addition, in order to show the usefulness of the quotation change factors, the type of quotation change, the quotation change process, and the quotation system management, the proposed quotation change process and function was applied in the integrated quotation management system for the ship engine division of a typical make-to-order manufacturing company 'H'. As a result, it was confirmed that the proposed quotation change process and management system according to the quotation change factors were efficiently performed.

Knowing the time of the process change could lead to quicker identification of the responsible special cause and less process down time, and it could help to reduce the probability of incorrectly identifying the special cause. In this paper, we propose a maximum likelihood estimator of the process change point when a Shewhart $\bar{X}$ chart with variable sample size (VSS) scheme signals a change in the process mean. Also we build a confidence interval for the process change point by using the likelihood function.

Purpose: This study was conducted to compare the process of change, decisional balance, and self-efficacy according to the stages of change of exercise on the basis of the Transtheoretical Model in order to investigate factors associated with the change of exercise in adult diabetic patients. Method: Data were collected from January to April 2005. The subjects were 160 patients in the G university hospital and public health center in J city. Results: The entire process of change showed the significant difference depending on the stage of change(F=20.007, p=.000). For each process of change, the Consciousness Raising(F=14.602, p=.000), Dramatic Relief(F=7.751, p=.000), Environmental Re-evaluation(F=11.843, p=.000), Self Re-evaluation(F=16.035, p=.000), Social Liberation(F=10.968, p=.000), Counter-conditioning (F=24.090, p=.000), Helping Relationships(F= 7.625, p=.000), Reinforcement Management(F= 16.693, p=.000), Self Liberation(F=11.990, p= .000) and Stimulus Control(F=4.020, p=.002) demonstrated significant differences depending on the stages of change of exercise. For the decisional balance, the Pros showed the significant difference depending on the stage of change(F=14.121, p=.000). For the self efficacy showed significant difference depending on the stage of change(F=17.137, p=.000). Conclusion: In order to proceed the stage of change of exercise in patients with Diabetes Mellitus, intensive use of a specific process of change, a stage of change matching is needed.

Configuration Management (CM) is a process of identifying and documenting the characteristics of a Structures, Systems and Components (SSCs), and of ensuring that changes to these characteristics are properly assessed, approved, issued, implemented and verified. There are requirement management, change control, facility configuration information management for CM activities. In order to improve safety of Nuclear Power Plant(NPP), it is necessary to manage change item systematically. Existing CM concept is focused on the NPP in operation. On the other hand, NPP under construction is difficult to efficiently manage the change because of different change process from varoius stake-holders. This research considers method of consolidation change process for NPP to ensure that approved changes are accurately reflected in the design requirements, facility configuration information, and the physical configuration.

This study is for better understanding about the process of students' conceptual change. As a starting point, it is assumed that the process of students' conceptual change can be viewed as the process of the successive refinement and articulation of students' conceptual framework. Based on the theoretical review of conceptual change literature, various processes, which can be involved in the above assumed process, can be found. And also, by analyzing the process of development of scientific knowledge about Planck's blackbody radiation law and Bohr's atom, six types of processes of refinement and articulation of scientific knowledge can be found. It is hoped that these theoretical discussions can guide the direction for obtaining and interpreting the students' real responses during the process of conceptual change.

Rehabilitation after spinal cord injury(SCI) is complex process involving an array of adaptation to change in both physical and psychological function. It is generally accepted that psychological disorder and change are sificant psychological problem among the patients with spinal cord injury. The psychological problems that they have are depressor, anxiety, and fear etc. This study was designed to know of psychological state of patients with SCI after injury, such as psychological change and adaptation process, and change of needs.

When there is one change-point in the hazard rate model, a change-point estimator with the partial score process is suggested and compared with the previously developed estimators. The limiting distribution of the partial score process we used is a function of the Brownian bridge. Simulation study gives the comparison of change-point estimators.

The topic I have chosen for presentation to you today is entitled, the theory of change in nursing practice or to put it into simpler words. How do new ideas in nursing get started - Where do they come from\ulcorner - How are these ideas spread through the social system of nurses\ulcorner - What makes some Directors of Nursing more ready to accept change than others\ulcorner What factors in-fluence than to introduce change\ulcorner The process of change has been the subject of considerable research in such diverse disciplines and fields as anthropology and rural sociology, marketing and, also, education, for many years. The studies are called“diffusion”studies, or sometimes“adoption”studies, or“adoption of innovation”studies. They deal specifically with the transmission of innovations to members of a social system, and are considered a subset of research in the general field of communication, Although a number of studies have been undertaken in medicine, and, in the past decade, numerous ones in education, there have been few studies on the process of change in nursing. Yet, nursing has undergone tremendous changes in the past 10 years - the nursing process has been introduced, there is the expanded role of the nurse which is rapidly becoming a regular mode of practice - and many, many more changes, We seem to be always running to try. to keep up with changes that have already taken place. Yet little is known about known about the process of change itself - how practitioners learn about new ideas and techniques, or about the factors which influence nurses to accept some changes and reject others. The purpose of the study I am about. to describe was to analyze the process of change as it functioned in regard to nursing innovations in a selected segment of Canadian hospitals, and to relate the analysis to general research and theory about information transmission and the acceptance of change. Three aspects of the process were investigated : 1. The flow of information about changes in nursing practice through a network of hospitals. 2. Factors influencing the adoption of changes in nursing practice. 3. Factors influencing delay in the adoption process, the rejection of changes, or their discontinuance following adoption.

Knowing the time of the process change could lead to quicker identification of the responsible special cause and less process down time, and it could help to reduce the probability of incorrectly identifying the special cause. In this paper, we propose the maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) for the process change point when a control chart is used in monitoring the mean of a process in which the observations can be modeled as an AR(1) process plus an additional random error. The performance of the proposed MLE is compared to the performance of the built-in estimator when they are used in EWMA charts based on the residuals. The results show that the proposed MLE provides good performance in terms of both accuracy and precision of the estimator.
