  • In this modern era of technology and information, e-learning approach has become an integral part of teaching and learning using modern technologies. There are different variations or classification of e-learning approaches. One of notable approaches is Personal Learning Environment (PLE). In a PLE system, the contents are presented to the user in a personalized manner (according to the user's needs and wants). The problem arises when a new user enters the system, and due to the lack of information about the new user's needs and wants, the system fails to recommend him/her the personalized e-learning contents accurately. This phenomenon is known as cold-start problem. In order to address this issue, existing researches propose different approaches for recommendation such as preference profile, user ratings and tagging recommendations. In this research paper, the implementation of a novel interaction-based approach is presented. The interaction-based approach improves the recommendation accuracy for the new-user cold-start problem by integrating preferences profile and tagging recommendation and utilizing the interaction among users and system. This research work takes leverage of the interaction of a new user with the PLE system and generates recommendation for the new user, both implicitly and explicitly, thus solving new-user cold-start problem. The result shows the improvement of 31.57% in Precision, 18.29% in Recall and 8.8% in F1-measure.

  • In this paper, we propose a unified method to solve the various robust filtering problem for a class of uncertain discrete time systems. Generally, to solve the robust filtering problem, we must convert the convex optimization problem with uncertainty blocks to the uncertainty free convex optimization problem. To do this, we derive the robust matrix inequality problem. This technique involves using constant scaling parameter which can be optimized by solving a linear matrix inequality problem. Therefore, the robust matrix inequality problem does not conservative. The robust filter can be designed by using this robust matrix inequality problem and by considering its solvability conditions.

  • The management science was concerned about how to use the main point of the management science model and it's technique by the rational primary factors. The problem's definition, estabilished of the model and it's solving. These function are very difficult and important problems, what is more important, are the model of management science's real prosecution to the manager and management scientist. The management science give us a clue to the solution of a business problem. To get needs conclusion and achieving the estabilished object, we must implement a plan, a stratgem, a policy. If we were not implementing the recommended items, we may call the estabilished model and problem solving impractical, ivory-tower theorizing. But, the implementation of management science model is a complicated problem that is involved mutual relations of managers and management scientist, linkage parts member and the resources of organization. And the other problems of implementation are very complicated problems composed of technologic and economic, social and politic, psychological. This paper reports the implementation of a success that possibly studies a fluent and a chief cause to systematic analysis. Then, first of all I will define of implementation and from these, construction of a unity system, I continue with a catch hold of a main point and a fluent for the successful implementation.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze children's proportional reasoning process on an ill-structured "architectural drawing" problem solving and to investigate their level and characteristics of proportional reasoning. As results, they showed various perspective and several level of proportional reasoning such as illogical, additive, multiplicative, and functional approach. Furthermore, they showed their expanded proportional reasoning from the early stage of perception of various types of quantities and their proportional relation in the problem to application stage of their expanded and generalized relation. Students should be encouraged to develop proportional reasoning by experiencing various quantity in ration and proportion situations.

  • This study was designed to identify how teachers and students solve problems and communicate with each other during the course of study through application of PBL questions that can be utilized in math ratio and graph sections of the 6th-grade elementary school curriculum in class. Therefore we haved figure it out that through pbl class student acquired a propound knowledge in math and showed self-directed learning through various communication activities, and that they finally showed positive attitude and confidence in this subject.

  • In this paper we use measure theory to solve a wide range of the nonlinear programming problems. First, we transform a nonlinear programming problem to a classical optimal control problem with no restriction on states and controls. The new problem is modified into one consisting of the minimization of a special linear functional over a set of Radon measures; then we obtain an optimal measure corresponding to functional problem which is then approximated by a finite combination of atomic measures and the problem converted approximately to a finite-dimensional linear programming. Then by the solution of the linear programming problem we obtain the approximate optimal control and then, by the solution of the latter problem we obtain an approximate solution for the original problem. Furthermore, we obtain the path from the initial point to the admissible solution.

  • The container packing problem Is one of the traditional optimization problems, which is very related to the knapsack problem and the bin packing problem. In this paper, we deal with the quadratic multiple container picking problem (QMCPP) and it Is known as a NP-hard problem. Thus, It seems to be natural to use a heuristic approach such as evolutionary algorithms for solving the QMCPP. Until now, only a few researchers have studied on this problem and some evolutionary algorithms have been proposed. This paper introduces a new efficient evolutionary algorithm for the QMCPP. The proposed algorithm is devised by improving the original network random key method, which is employed as an encoding method in evolutionary algorithms. And we also propose local search algorithms and incorporate them with the proposed evolutionary algorithm. Finally we compare the proposed algorithm with the previous algorithms and show the proposed algorithm finds the new best results in most of the benchmark instances.

  • Problem solving and mathematical applications have been increasingly emphasized in school mathematics over the past ten years. Recently it is recommended that mathematical applications and modeling situations be incorporated into the secondary school curriculum. Many researches on this approach have been conducted in Korea. But unfortunately two thirds of these researches have been studied by graduate students. Therefore, more professional researchers should be concerned with the study related to mathematical modelling activity. This study is planning to investigate and establish i) the concepts and meanings of mathematical model, mathematical modelling, and mathematical modelling process, ii) the properties of problem situations introduced and dealt with in mathematical modelling activity, and iii) relationship between mathematical modelling activity and problem solving activity, and so on. To accomplish this, this study is based on the analysis and comparison of 11 articles published in domestic journals and 22 domestic master papers.

  • Cognitive-behavioral approach can be clinically applied to coping with stress, because cognitions are playing a central mediating role in the occurances of stress and stress reactions. In other words, cognitive distortions can be associated with causing and/or maintaining psychopathology. The goal of cognitive-behavioral approach is to help the patients identify and alter cognitive distortions and maladaptive assumptions. This approach is aimed not at curing but rather at helping the patients to develop better coping strategies to deal with their life and work. The cognitive-behavioral techniques often used in this approach include problem solving, hypothesis-testing, self-monitoring, cognitive challenges, generating alternatives to automatic cognitive distortions, self-instruction, attribution and reattribution, and techniques to control or suppress thoughts. This approach is considered to be helpful for treatment and prevention of psychiatric disorders including psychosomatic disorders, in which stress can greatly affect their onset and course.

  • The purpose of this study is to inquire into present conditions and problems of current performance test and to try to come up with a fundamental alternative of it. Eventually, the studies of performance test so far can be labelled 'prescription' as a prospective approach. On the contrary, the fundamental alternative can be labelled 'understanding' as a retrospective approach. It can be seen that these 'prescription' and 'understanding' do not separate but represent both extreme ends of problem-solving.'Prescription' exists for 'understanding' and the latter can be acquired through the former. Just under this assumption, it can be accepted that 'prescription' as a prospective approach of performance test is an inevitable measure to achieve the purpose of it. However, the ultimate purpose of 'prescription' should proceed to 'understanding' as a retrospective approach.
