  • This paper describes the development process of mosquito trap with the effect of air cleaning by using the substance-field analysis and evolution pattern of systems in the theory of inventive problem solving (TRIZ). We g(It the concept of the mosquito trap with mosquito attractants instead of mosquito reluctants such as mosquito stick coil and skin medicine with bad and toxic smell. The number of mosquitos traped by one trap near cattle shed per one night in summer, was over 10 thousands with some effects of air cleaning

The 'Two Basics' Mathematics Teaching Approach and the Open Ended Problem Solving in China

  • There is a tradition of advocating the 'two basics' (basic knowledge and basic skills) in Chinese mathematics education. The direct consequence is that Chinese students are able to produce excellent performance in the international mathematics examinations and outstanding results in the international mathematics competitions. In this article, we will present why and how Chinese teachers teach the 'two basics,' and how combine the pupil's creativity with their 'two basics.' Open ended problem solving is a way to meet the goal. The following topics will be concerned: Culture background; the speed of computation; 'make perfect' ; Efficiency in classroom; Balance between 'two basics' and personal development. In Particular, Chinese mathematics educators pay more attentions to the link between open ended problem solving and the 'two basics' principal.

  • 본 연구에서는 초등학교에서 스크래치 프로그램을 활용한 사용자 중심 디자인 모델에 기반한 하이레벨(High Level)단계의 프로토타이핑 기법을 적용하여 응용프로그램 개발 교육모형을 제시하여 적용해 보고 그 효과를 검증해 보고자 한다. 본 연구의 결과는 초등학교에서 문제해결력과 논리적 사고력 신장을 위한 응용프로그램 개발 교육의 새로운 접근방법이 될 것으로 기대한다.

능, 수동센서를 이용한 수중환경에서의 표적추적필터 구조 연구 (A Study on Target Tracking Filter Architecture in Underwater Environment using Active and Passive Sensors)

  • In this paper, we propose a new target tracking filter architecture using active and passive sensors in underwater environment. A passive sensor for target tracking needs a bearing measurement of target. And target tracking filter for using passive sensor has the observability problem. On the other hand, an active sensor does not have the problem associated with system observability problem because an active sensor uses bearing and range measurement. In this paper, the tracking filter algorithm that could be used in the active and passive sensor system is proposed to analyze maneuvering target and to improve target tracking performance. The proposed tracking filter algorithm is tested by a series of computer simulation runs and the results are analyzed and compared with existing algorithm.

  • In this paper, for the development of a safe and reliable DC home appliance suitable for DC home power supply system, we classified a number of inherent problems with help of the comparative analysis of existing AC and new DC home appliance. Several new technical problems of DC home appliances are mainly linked to the DC transient state. Among them, this paper concentrates on start-up inrush current problem, uni-polarity problem, and heavy DC load control problem. And to address these problems, we herein present an implementation of robust safety circuits for DC home appliances. Specifically, we investigate several multi-circuit countermeasures and select the best among them through comparative evaluation, based on theoretical, simulational, and experimental results.

  • Information network technologies introduce a new education environment. Cyber education is growing rapidly as a field of practice especially in distance education system. The development of multimedia environment based on such technology as graphics, image, voice, and video, personal computer systems use has become the media for interactive teaching-teaming service. These features have made integrated multimedia education feasible. This research suggested a direction for the development of an interactive distance education system. I have developed an education system which cooperate problem bank and learning system. This system support arbitration of the relative difficulty in the problem bank database. An ongoing version of this research was evaluated. Those findings reveal several factors that influence how the proposed system can be tailored to the students' perspectives in order to come up with the enhanced version of this system.

  • In this study, the development of graphic user interface(GUI) program for optimum design of RC continuous beam is dealt. Optimum design problem that satisfies strength, serviceability, durability and geometrical conditions is formulated as a non-linear programming problem(NLP) in which the objective function as well as the constraints are highly non-linear on design variables such as cross sectional dimensions and steel ratio. Optimum design problem is solved by NLP techniques namely, sequential linear programming(SLP), sequential convex programming(SCP). Numerical examples of R.C. continuous beam using GUI system are given to show usefulness of GUI system for practical design work and efficiency of algorithm for the NLP techniques.

By the concept of standard solution about introducing S3 substance, modification of S1 (human) and S2 (mosquito) between first substance SI and second substance S2 with harmful effect, we got the concept of the mosquito trap with mosquito attractants instead of mosquito reluctants such as mosquito stick coil and skin medicine w~th bad and toxic smell. The number of mosquitos traped by one trap near cattle shed per one n~ght in summer, was over 10 thousands with some effects of air cleaning.

  • This paper represents a study on the development of the conceptual design for the bicycle transmission by TRIZ. At first the problem of the transmission of commercial bicycles was analyzed. The problem was defined as "the variable sprocket pitch diameter with respect to the tension change of chain". The conceptual solutions were derived by Su-Field Model Analysis, IFR(Ideal Final Result), SLP(Smart Little People), and Contradiction Matrix. The here developed sprocket prototype shows the automatic change of sprocket pitch diameter with the tension change of chain.

기본소생술 S-PBL 패키지 개발 및 적용 후 평가 (An Examples Development and Implementation of S-PBL Package in Basic Life Support)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop and apply a simulation-problem based learning(S-PBL) package in basic life support(BLS). Methods: This study was used to developed BLS' S-PBL package throughout 12 steps of PBL package development model. Then, BLS' S-PBL methodology was implemented in second year student in the undergraduate emergency medical technology, and survey was done. Results: 1. S-PBL package model was presented based on conceptual model II of PBL ; PEL for professional action. 2. Quantitative analysis of survey was to the effectiveness of learning, 3.59 points ; 4.15 of BLS and 3.84 of integration and practical use of knowledge. 3. As to the satisfaction of student, S-PBL package management, tutor and self-satisfaction' score was 3.59, 3.82, 3.39 respectively. Conclusion: This study was suggested that S-PBL education would be necessary with improved tutor skill and achieved advantage of simulation and PBL.
