Attention on daylighting should be focused not so much on a simple maximization of the natural light available in a space, as on improving the quality of lighting by ensuring as even but intense distribution of illumination in inner areas. An architectural means of optimal daylight distribution is by using so-called light shelf systems, horizontal shading and redirecting devices. The overall performance of the daylighting system can be improved by the incorporation with electric lighting control devices. This paper aims to exemplify the benefit of daylighting in term of economic consideration. In such a case a reasonable technique to compare system costs is by life-cycle costing. Stated simply, a life-cycle cost represents the total cost of a system over its entire life cycle, that is, the sum of first cost and all future costs. Four different electric lighting system designs are proposed and a lighting control system that is continuously operating according to the level of daylight in the space has been adapted. The result shows clearly that although denser layout of lighting fixtures might be more effective to interface to the level of daylight ceaselessly changeable, its economic benefit may not meet the expected criterion the reason of increased initial investment and maintenance cost for the fixtures and control devices.

The objective of this study was to investigate urinary cut-off concentrations of quetiapine and risperidone for distinction between normal and abnormal/non-takers who were being placed on probation. Liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometric (LC-MS/MS) method was employed for determination of antipsychotic drugs in urine from mentally disordered probationers. The optimal cut-off values of antipsychotic drugs were calculated using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. The sensitivity and specificity of the method for the detection of antipsychotic drugs in urine were subsequently evaluated. The area under the ROC curve (AUC) was 0.927 for norquetiapine and 0.791 for 9-hydroxyrisperidone, respectively. These antipsychotic drugs are classified readily in the ROC curve analysis. The cut-off values for distinguishing regular and irregular/non-takers were 39.1 ng/mL for norquetiapine and 67.9 ng/mL for 9-hydroxyrisperidone, respectively. The results of this study suggest the cut-off values of quetiapine and risperidone were highly useful to distinguish regular takers from irregular/non-takers.

Purpose - This paper analyzes the student determinants of college non-completion and estimates the effects of each determinant on college non-completion. Design/methodology/approach - We use student panel data from a large Korean university from 2011 to 2021. Our results are from estimation of fixed-effects logit model. Findings - The results show that grade point average, participation in extracurricular activities, the number of counseling sessions with teachers, and financial aid are the main determinants of college non-completion. Academic probation, which is defined as any person who has a cumulative grade point average below a one point seven five, increases the non-completion rate by 2.6 percentage points and an one-point rise in extracurricular activities index reduces the rate by 0.1 percentage points. The effects of each determinant are heterogeneous across student sub-groups which are separated by gender, nationality, and academic discipline. Research implications or Originality - Tailored support programs for academically discouraged students that incorporate student characteristics and backgrounds are necessary to increase college completion rates and degree attainment.

The main mission was the guard of the royal palace. As we know from several historical materials, the defense of the royal palace was an fundamental mission. Therefore, department of the imperial guard would take charge of the defense of the royal palace. 2. They would carry out throne of king and the royal family or a battle. As unification, they would carry out guarding for political stability and a suppress probation of internal war in regard to the security and the frequent rebellion in central and locality. 3. They carried out guarding an honored going of a king or the royal family. We know the fact that there was an honored going of the royal family or many attendants on record. When a king or the royal family go, guarding of department of the imperial guard had not only protect them but also show off the authority of the royal family. As a result, when we analysis the substance from studying the guard system of Shilla, though our guard system is imitated the foreign guard system like U.S.A, transcending space-time, the guard system can be found a lot of something common at the guard principle and a rule. Today, in looking about a political system of any countries on the world, a king and a ruler of the country represent their country international, have responsibility of protect their nation and a people internal. Therefore, the guard for a ruler absolutely must carry out at a safety situation. Moreover the guard organ, at the same time is connected directly to a welfare of the nation, so we will have to devote a constant effort.

The objective of this research is to compare the teacher education system in countries that have reformed, or are in the process of reforming, their informatics education by reflecting ongoing social changes and developments in IT. The teacher education systems in Finland, Germany, Japan, the UK and US were compared. As a result of the study it was found that (1) the results did not differ according to the teacher education institution, (2) there was a focus on a minor subject, and (3) there were various routes for teacher training. The systems for special graduate schools were found to be developed, probation period after graduation was more than one year, and license renewal systems were being enforced. Based on these results, it was proposed that (1) more teachers be recruited to attend graduate schools and (2) that software training be given to all teachers as a minor. Finally, a license renewal system for revaluating teachers' qualifications was also proposed. This research is meaningful in that it compared the teacher training system in Korea with five major developed countries.

When most examining judges deny the request for an arrest warrant, they cite (as a reason) that there is no worry about escape or the destruction of evidence. Consequently, there has been no knowing what characteristics of a crime mainly affect the decision for an arrest warrant and there has been significant dispute about the exact decision criteria used for an arrest warrant. This paper classified the data about the request of arrest warrants for crimes committed in the jurisdiction of the Jinju Public Prosecutors' Office in 2006, 2007 and 2008, into 7 categories according to characteristics of the crimes. For each category we construct a statistical model about the decision on arrest warrants by applying a crosstabulation analysis in order to look for the characteristic of crime that affect the decision for an arrest warrant.

This study is to reveal the significant value of astrology as a counseling tool beyond its unscientific means in prophecy and counseling effects on changes in adolescents' self-awareness with astrology. In astrology, personal self-awareness is related to the nature of the sun and the public self-awareness is associated with ascendants, or the persona. In addition, the location of the moon that governs emotion and basic and peripheral aspects of polarity, quality, and elements are analyzed to be applied to the scene of consultation in relation of social unrest. For this study, 24 subjects were selected randomly at the Youth Support Center in Gyeongsangnam-do city C who referred to be showing social maladjustment, problematic behaviors and so under probation. The subjects were divided into the experimental group (12) and control group (12). To measure the affects of astrology-utilized consultation and to assess changes of self-awareness and its sub-factors, analysis of variance was conducted repeatedly and statistically validated with the difference between the group (experimental, control) and test(pre, post). As the results, it was proven that the consultation using astrology is affective on increasing adolescents' self-awareness and it can be understood that astrology has a meaningful value as a consultation tool in the aspects of social science.

The police is huge career civil service organization. In 1999, police organization employed 7,801 persons as a new hiring. The police had revised employment system several times for competent human resources. But, it is true that much improvements need yet for person's employment which equip eligibility. Specially, discussions need for many new hirings by duty police system abrogation. Career civil service system is impossible of dismissal after permanent appointment. It is true that competitive rate of police officer examination much rose. But it's not important about organization development in addition this unconnects with competent resources. Must change police officer employment system for organization's future development. This study proposed policy about improvement way of examination for service step, field training officer and appointment.

This study aims to examine the structural relationship between adverse childhood experience, anxiety, and internet addiction among youth probationers. The sample included 200 young probationers in Seoul probations office who were asked to fill out a self-administered survey questionnaire. Results from path analysis showed that adverse childhood experience positively influenced the risk for internet addiction (${\beta}=.396$, p<.05), and higher anxiety also predicted the internet addiction (${\beta}=.131$, p<.01). Mediating effect of anxiety between the adverse childhood experience and internet addiction was also confirmed. The study results indicated that prevention efforts for internet addiction is needed for this vulnerable population, and also implied the need to focus on dealing with childhood experience and anxiety in order to prevent problems related to internet addiction.

The main purpose of study is to identify relevance between nature and types of risk factors that delinquent teenagers are exposed and types of methodologies implemented to prevent committing school violence, domestic violence, and suicide or to help recovering from violent activities and suicide attempts. The results show that school dropout has much relevance in risk factors such as probation, lawbreaking, smoking, drinking, runaway, domestic violence victim, and suicidal attempt. Risk rate of school dropout for those teenagers who smoke and drink in the period of runaway is 2.76 times higher than those teenagers who do not smoke or drink. More specifically, drinking increases more risk of school dropout than smoking. Contribution of this study is to identify empirical evidence that calls for comprehensive risk management for delinquent teenagers encompassing home, school, and community rather than focusing on risk itself.
