The following findings were obtained: 1) Today's apartment residents prefer 'Island' style which is located a separate counter and work space. Thus the kitchen m is now being recognized as a place spacious, and where the whole family can participate. 2) The usage of the kitchen is not only limited to cooking or keeping household goods but also broadened to washing, private life, happy home circle, inviting guests etc. Especially, family union or inviting guests in the kitchen is more frequent as the houses become larger, private refreshment or reading in the kitchen is proportional to income and to people living in homes where the kitchen and dining room is divided independent 3) Looking at the dietary life styles of today's apartment residents, there are more well-being type and tradition type than prosessed type. This trend is portional to the resident's standard of education and the size of the apartment, thus making a significant influence.

  • The Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) standard enables easy sharing of multimedia contents in the home network environment. However, with the proliferation of mobile computing devices such as smartphones and tablets, the need for media sharing to expand beyond the boundaries of the home network arose. In this paper, a method for accessing DLNA based home network from the mobile environment is proposed. The proposed method uses mobile Virtual Private Network (VPN), and enables easy access to the resources in the home network from the wireless mobile environment.

For that, this study surveyed 139 apartment complex cases which were sold from December 2002 to December 2005. When Hwasung Dongtan apartment complex was sold in 2004, there were a lot of attempts in various quarters, especially in unit planning and eco-friendly design. Accordingly, it is worthy that analyzing the trend before and after of 2004. As a result, the trend has been moving from 'convenient and high class' to 'LOHAS, one-stop living, convergency, and residents' satisfaction' because leasure and well-living have been the purpose of their living. Therefore, we can predict that B.I. and design identity would be more important, and various contents would be created for residents' community and private life.

The documentary research method was used for this study. Total of 972 out of 1,109 floor plans were analyzed for this study. The major findings were that changes of social lifespaces from Yi-dynasty to the present have been affected by natural and socio-cultural environments. The changes in the physical aspects of social lifespaces have shown from one or two social lifespaces to various single-purpose social lifespaces such as living room, family room, drawing room, and study room. In the past, the cnetral social lifespaces, Anbang(women's quarter) was larger than the living room/Daechung(wooden floor) but the living room in the present has become a central social lifespaces and larger. The room function of Anbang has changed from multi-purpose space to private space. Living room/Daechung had used as a pathway rather than a social lifespaces in the past but the living room has played many fuctional roles of family social activities in the present. The kitchen has also begun to use as a social lifespace. This is a new symptom that kitchen and dining spaces will be included as a new social lifespaces.

  • This paper studied the present condition of social welfare activities of Living Condition Improving Committee of Kimpo City in order to activate the social welfare services of women agricultural organizations. The main results are as follows; First, the general characteristics of the respondents in this study are forty or fifty years of age with above high school education with main income source of agriculture and middle class women living in agricultural communities more than 10 years. Second, considering the present and future planned activities of the Living Condition Improving Committee of Kimpo City this study finds that there is high expectation of helping poor people and joining voluntary services. Third, the members of the Living Condition Improving Committee of Kimpo City have actively participated in the local welfare service programs however, there is significant difference among people according to the age, living standard and joining period. Fourth, out of social welfare activities managed by the Living Condition Improving Committee of Kimpo City the welfare service activities for old people and local community are most active and the participants in the welfare service activities for women and the youngsters are small. Thus, according to this study the Living Condition Improving Committee of Kimpo City should consider the following three points in order to activate the social welfare service activities; First, as the members are expecting to expand the individual activities and to enhance the private improvement, the social welfare service activities should meet with the demands to improve self satisfaction of the participants. Second, new programs should be developed after reviewing the current programs in order to meet with the need of the members. Third, as the committee has not established a network system with government administrative organizations and relating institutions, and as its activities are concentrated in particular areas the committee should establish a new system to provide more efficient services in line with the cooperation with public organization and welfare resource suppliers.

  • This study analyzed the spatial interrelation between living wages and economic variables and how they operate based on systems thinking theory to understand what value living wages have as policy instruments and why they are necessary. Results from this study can be summed as follows. First, the relationship between living wages and economic variables shows close interaction at a considerable level. In particular, mutual feedback which connects to laborers' standards of living, consumption, business, and economy was operating closely. Second, largely three positive (+) feedback loops were operating in the feedback structure of living wages and economic variables. This can be interpreted to mean that positive economic variables which are associated with living wages have the possibility of growth. Also, it can mean that the minimum wage system did not fully fulfill its role. Through these study results, it can be learned that living wages have sufficient value as a policy means and that it is advisable to allow living wages to exceed simple application levels in the public sector to expand into the private sector, to bring positive change to the economic system.

  • The Seoul's 2030 Youth-Housing is a policy to promote the development of private sector-built rental housing in a Station Influence Area (SIA). It is a representative policy to resolve a housing problem for the youth in Seoul. The Seoul Metropolitan Government has made continuous policy improvements to respond to earlier criticisms on the policy. In December 2018, the Seoul Metropolitan Government enlarged the possible spatial boundaries of the SIA that the private sector developer can carry out the housing development projects. This study attempts to assess the potential sites available in Seoul by considering the youth's demand. This study used the suitability modelling technique to evaluate the potential sites. In detail, we established three sub-models by reflecting rent, accessibility to living areas of the youth, and accessibility to living SOC for the youth's demand. According to the results, the Hanyang City Wall area, which was newly included by the recent policy revision, showed moderate scores to fit the housing projects, while some Gangbuk areas, which have high accessibility and relatively lower rents, showed the best scores appropriate for the projects. The age group of 20s preferred university districts, while the age group of 30s preferred to locate near Seoul's main office areas. We suggest that the Seoul metropolitan government develops better ways to guage and reflect the demand for differing youth groups and the demand by age groups.

  • PFI(Private Finance Initiative) Project is carried to expand infrastructure effectively through participation of private investment. From the year 2005, the range is expanded not only industrial infrastructure such as made road, harbors and so on but living infrastructure such as school facilities, environmental facilities. For this reason BTL(Build-Transfer-Lease) system is mainly used in new private finance initiative project but in existing private finance initiative project BTO(Build-Transfer-Operate) system was used. BTL system is operated to judge fitness of private investment and classified into quantitative VFM(Value for Money) and qualitative VFM. In this research the estimation item of qualitative VFM which is hard to deduce the effect is created and after surveying of questionnaire in target of experts, relative importance and weight is established with AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process). By estimating efficiency and benefit of quantitative VFM and qualitative VFM aspect effectively it is expected to support a rational making decision for operating BTL.
